Used to be Norris Farms near Havana always had huge equipment and was kind of f a proving grounds for a lot of brands , so you are probably right ! They flooded all that bottom ground and turned it back into a swamp , government project!!!!!
FIrst time I've heard about a tractor with an engine with 7 cylinders, when the tractors you are usually filming have inline 6 engines, or occasionally an 8 cylinder engine
We use a 1990ccs John Deere air seeder to seed our winter wheat and oats. Our John Deere 8345R pulls it. We have for our high horsepower tractors 1- MT875E & 2-MT865E's.
Does the rear of the drill not fully raise out of the ground when at end rows? Looks like it drags rear press wheels when the operator is turning around
I am always amazed the gravity seed wagons don't turn over because the center of gravity is so far up in the air. I know it has to be that way but it looks as if the things would really be so top heavy in a field with changes in elevation would make them dangerous.
Hear the surging as well. Maybe the flow rate needs to be adjusted on the tractor side? I didn’t see a monitor showing singulation/rate per acre. I’d like to have seen that.
I've been looking for a video of the 7-cylinder engine at work. But the exhaust is so silenced that it can't really be heard over the noise of the hydraulics.
AGCO uses the 7 cylinder engine in several machines. Here is a Gleaner s97 that uses the same engine that I made a video on ua-cam.com/video/oGuSulI16RY/v-deo.html
So basically the farmer is using the winter rye as a cheap fertilizer and organic matter as well as a cover crop to prevent soil erosion by tilling it back into the soil instead of harvesting the grain. I’m kinda confused as to why they would not harvest a crop and leave the stubble the same as with wheat. I understand the cover crop angle but if your gonna plant a crop why not harvest the grain as well.
This is not harvested for grain. It is used to keep the hills and slopes from washing and rutting. Rolling it in the spring makes a good seed bed to stop any washing in the new grain crop and to reduce weed growth. If they harvested it for grain they would miss the corn planting window.
My local farm ordered two of these just wanted to see how they sounded today they test them. I also spotted a combine there
Very nice video
Love the Challenger tractor
Have a nice day
That is a great combination👍😉 the challenger looks awesome😁👍
Great video👍
Its a well matched seeding team. Thank you for watching.
After all these years it's hard to beat the looks of the Challengers. I think the first ones I ever saw were on farms around Havana, Illinois.

I remember all that bottom ground. Haven't been over there in years.
00:56 some impressive flexing there by the drill
It rolls over the terrain well.
That's a nice tractor. 👍🚜
Why does the packer wheels not raise on the ends to turn ?
My question. It looks like it will tear it up
Nice looking tractor
Thanks
Thank you Brad.

Sounds like a nice setup.

Great Video, Great drill & Tractor combination, @ 8mph thats an impressive area covered
Sunflower makes some nice tillage equipment as well
Agco owns Sunflower and They also built the tractor..
@@farmerjohnson8121 seems like Agco owns a lot of tractors/combines and implements. They must be the Walmart of the farm industry lol

No till seeding equipment 🥰

In a few generations they'll need a Kinze grain cart to fill those tanks on the drill. On this one that auger would make a bloody mess though haha
Yay new video love the videos keep up the good work 👍👍👍👍
Thank you for watching. I try to post a new video every day. 😁👍
Nice 👌👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Is that drill the same thing as what Brian Brown is gonna demo ? Sounds like we got a lot of surgeing going on in hydraulics !

Hey jason. Whats the advantage of a 7 cylinder engine? Seems like an odd number of cylinders would make it run funny.
We use a john deere 6920 with a väderstad ds400
Who's farm is this
How long has Sunflower made seeding equipment?
They have offered grain drills since the 1980’s. Air seeding equipment for about 12 years. This particular compact air drill was introduced in 2016.
Why, would you turn with it in the ground!?? 😢
Is it 🤔 more expensive to replace tracks or tires.
I do not think so. The tracks last about 3,000 hours.

Like 👏👏👍👍🚜🚜🇧🇷
I guess the advantage of tracks, no flat tires.
No flats that’s for sure.

@@bigtractorpower Why doesn't the rye grain act as new seed when it is tilled back into the soil?

Hello!
Hello thank you for watching.

7 cylinder engine thats a first whats the spec on that
It's built in Finland by Sisu Diesel. They have all of the specs on their web site.
A wing will fall off eventually if they keep folding up like that. Why not ease up with the hydraulic
First
I subbed to you
Landon Beers thanks
Thank you for your enthusiasm to watch the videos as they post
bigtractorpower you’re welcome. I love your videos.
Bring it so I plant my wheat in a hurry
It will cover some ground.
Why does the fan have that annoying humming noise?
I have no idea. It seem to have a surging noise that picked up when the machine slows down.
@@bigtractorpower Aah ok sounds like a foot throttle over end rows😀
You could pull that with a 4020.
I think that fan I presume would drive me bonkers have 50 acres let alone 500
It is an odd sound. You could not hear it in the cab. The drill was brand new. I am not sure if it needed some acres to get going ?
@@bigtractorpower it almost sounded as though something was out of balance
