Great video! Those new fendts with the ivt transmission look great . I hear good things about the transmission and ease of shifting while saving fuel .
Mike, the terms ripper & digger are used frequently on farm channels. Suspect some viewers might be confused by the reference. Perhaps a video that demonstrates the difference between these two implements. Thanks.
Well the term digger is mostly a Minnesota and northern Iowa slang for a chisel plow, disk ripper or field cultivator. I would commonly say chisel plow even if it was technically a disk ripper just cause I was raised in the chisel plow era before the disk ripper was around. Well then the keyboard warriors corrected me lol. You get down in Texas and they commonly call all tillage tools a plow. So really it’s a regional slang type thing.
Great video Mike. The challenger with the power shift had no problem keeping up with the fendt ivt. Just goes to show CAT got it right all those years ago. 👍
just saying, but who says the fendt nor the cat were maxed out? cant really compare transmission in this scenario here. for all we know, they could be at lets say 4mph , with 80% engine load on cat but only 50 on fendt, who knows mate, impossible to compare with this vid. u dont allways want to go as fast as the tractor allows, especially with plowing.. so ye, as long as both were NOT maxed out, comparing is useless.
Interesting video with both machines pulling the same tillage tool in the same field was there any comment on which tractor pulled the Dominator better?
I love Agco equipment. The MT and Vario tractors are about my favorite. Really enjoyed this video Mike. Thanks for sharing 👍 😊
Plow does a nice job of churning up some ground. Hefty little solar array they got going on there too.

This video is Awesome . I love Challlenger & Fendt. These Tractors are Awesome.

Love tillage videos! That Fendt is very sharp. I have long had a special interest in two track tractors.
Great vídeo Mike
Great video
Wow that can really turn the dirt 👍👍😁🍻
Awesome pair of Panzers!

Thank you, I was just going to ask for this explanation. Please do, Mike!

1 of the best smells is freshly-turned dirt!!
9:45. Going to be some bent shanks after a couple of those. He must not be used to the clickety click of the scv.
That is "power to the ground". Serious sod busting.
Wishing you all a happy, healthy, prosperous New Year!!
What a nice tillage team😉👍

Great awesome video mike
That Fendt just seems to idle along pulling that ripper...nice comparison
Fendt 💪🏻
Did they say what their reasoning for using two track tractors over wheeled or tracked articulating tractors was? Great content as always
Family resemblance between the tractors.....
Interesting video with both machines pulling the same tillage tool in the same field was there any comment on which tractor pulled the Dominator better?
Nice vid
A lot of money running up and down on the field.
i have not seen a cat in years
Great video Mike! It sounds like the two tractors are very similar in size and hp. Do you happen to know which one does better on fuel?
I'm sure the newer one does better due to the fact they can run a lot lower RPM on the engine.
@@farmhandmike Cool thank you!
Looks like its not going deep enough and not really turning the ground. Plowing would be with all that residue.
It’s going plenty deep and doing the job it was designed to do.
Is the Fendt steered manually?
Front set of disks look like they are running straight ahead. Not doing any tillage. Can you elaborate?
I'm quite sure, they are just for cutting the residue.
The front disks are there to slice through the residue so nothing drags on the ripper shanks.
Was there any problem of plugging up at all? Alot of trash to go through.
No problems whatsoever.
I run the same dominator as in the video and have never plugged in heavy corn trash. In my opinion they are the best ripper on the market
You can just say "M A N", not "Man".
I would appreciate additional metric units though. But I'd totally understand, if it would be too much to ask.
Its pretty commonly called a Man in the USA.
@@farmhandmike Oh, I thought the brand wasn't popular in the USA. Thanks for the info.
Yes I like watching Mike less videos on UA-cam. From the imperial co commiefornia.
