Lovely cemetery. I love all the railing, especially the one with the cherub faces on it. Someone really cared for the Dowling family yo place a marker for each person buried there. The mausoleum was beautiful. Thank you Sue, take care and God Bless ❤
never seen so many railings in one place it must have made it hard for visiting family to place flowers etc . lovely well kept cemetery and the memorials for the Dowling family was a loving touch . Thank you Serenity Sue another really enjoyable walk ❤️
Thank you sue. Beautiful Cemetery and mausoleum. Looks so peaceful. I enjoy sharing with my family. God Bless.take care. Love, respect and positivity always. Neita James and family. 🙂👋.
Good walking around with ya Sue.. It’s 3am here in the morning ☕️🐓in U.S. This Amazing Place Full of unique features and views of Railings and Beautiful Crosses was Awesome 👏 Thank you for sharing this video 🕊🦋🌹
Hi Sue! You should have filmed the bridge and edited it in! I've seen those small green metal Celtic crosses in some of your other videos. I'm guessing that in the old days they were made of iron but these days they use a more corrosion-resistant steel. Either way they have an elegant simplicity. Thanks for showing us a very interesting churchyard. 🇦🇺 🇮🇪
Thanks so much, I was too scared to film the bridge, I had to turn the car around to take the turn, 1st gear all the way over it, room only for one I'll see if I can get the picture of it ❤️❤️
The Robert Cassidy mausoleum at 14:00 minutes, had odd looking cast iron finials on top of the railings. Looked like a strange face design. Maybe I'm just seeing things! Beautiful little cemetery though. Nicely done Sue and Irish eyes. 😊👍
Very nice cemetery, Sue, love the angels on the rails. I hope you're starting to feel better! Your overcast sky looks just like ours today here in Michigan. It's 51 degrees F. and raining ⛈️ , supposed to mix with a little snow tonight! Just drank a hot cocoa to warm up!
What a lovely place. Thank you for the great tour. Hope you're feeling better. Take care. If you need to take some time off, do so. We'll still be here when you feel up to posting a video again ☺️.
Hi Toms, thank you, I've a premiere Friday evening and I'm off then Saturday them for some more videos, I'm doing good on steroids and antibiotics ❤️❤️❤️
Who does the upkeep on your cemeteries? All the ones you show or so well keep. All are so beautiful, you most definitely have some of the best resting places. Great Job Sue... God Bless 🥰
This is a beautiful place, kept so well but sadly time has erased the writing on most of the older ones. Well done Sue and Irish eyes, bles you both 💕🇦🇺
Another beautiful tour .sorry but I must ask was this while you were sick or were you ok ? Irish said in his chat you weren’t feeling well hope you were rugged up.Beautiful graves and mausoleums ,maybe just as well they were not accessible, might stop grave robbers, vandals etc,Any way I checked the time difference,Dublin is 10 hours behind us .Have a great day, travel safe and good health to you both,👋👋👋from ballarat in Oz🇦🇺👍
Yes, I'd been feeling off for a few weeks but tried to ignore it, long covid or so my Dr. Said but I'm on medication now so hopefully back to working order again soon ❤️❤️
Well take care,I can say I got a chill spent a week in hossie, with bordering on pneumonia not nice ,you and yours look after yourselves and stay well. That way you’ll be able to continue doing what yous love doing,❤️from me and mine from ballarat in Oz🇦🇺👍
Following uprisings and battles, surviving Irish freedom fighters would hide until nightfall, before returning to collect the bodies of the fallen. These would be buried in one grave and covered in earth, to form a mound. I often wonder if the mounds, you come accross, contain the remains of those who died in battles.
The Cassidy mausoleum and graves are members of the Cassidy family who's whiskey distillery dominated Monasterevin in the 18th and 19th Century. The distillery buildings can still be seen in the town.
That mausoleum is so cool and love all those railings almost all of them are different. And Dowling, I loved that a special stone for everyone
Yes the Dowling one is fantastic but who were they 🤔 someone kindly remembered them all, so sweet and it said twin on some of them too how sad ❤️❤️

@@SerenitySueGraveyards I can see how that could be and that parish was extra cautious . Still , they are really well kept and worth seeing ❤️

Another Great Video thanks very much for taking the time to make this.
You're very welcome ❤️
Lovely cemetery, Sue! I’ve never seen so many railings around the graves; very interesting. Made it rather maze-like, didn’t it? Thanks for the walk!😊
Thanks Terri, wonder were they used to save them from graverobbers 🤔❤️

Thanks Jan, most have a caretaker or it will just be family then after the caretaker cuts the grass x x
Beautiful cemetery Sue. I must say Ireland has more respect for the dead than we do in America.

Thank you so much for this one. Now all I hear is the gate squeaking but before I definitely heard music. Weird.
That is weird 😳
Beautiful cemetery Sue. Cannot believe how many grave have metal railing around it. So sad how many young peopl died I. The early 1900’s.
Yes Maureen unusual the amount of railings in there ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I've wondered tha myself, as it seems strange, I know I've certainly walked many places with very obvious single grave mounds, it's so sad ❤️
