I feel like The Button actively tries to drive a wedge between people who are vibing, so they get better content and don't actually have to pay for any dates.
Exactly! People forget the show is more incentivized to NOT let them win.
It's almost like things marketed to help dating ultimately only make money if no one ever actually finds a date
When will we as a society acknowledge that hitting your spouse and hitting your children are no different?
Somehow we deluded ourselves into thinking hitting the smaller defenseless humans who depend entirely on you for support is more acceptable than hitting someone on equal standing who should supposedly be able to leave you at any time. Both are still unforgivably abhorrent, don't get me wrong, it's just amazing which one society has chosen to cling to and perform mental gymnastics for.

@@ariarichards- personally, I think physical harm is wrong at any time. self defence is ok but when you discipline a child for not doing what it’s told, you’re teaching it that it’s ok to hit people. And it will go teach its kids for generations and possibly worsen overtime.

that guy heard that a woman had kids and immediately asked if she hit her kids, admitted to believing in beating kids, all while his conversation is being played for the people in the other room that were his potential dates, and then was surprised when he got rejected. Even if he had managed to press the button first, there was no chance that it ended with him getting a second date.

And what is with this weird energy where someone was taken aback by a sudden uncomfortable question for a half second and the entire thing instantly becomes "yeah, she cheated, she definitely cheated." Like she even explained that they broke up and got back together after she'd been with other people. My abusive ex constantly accused me of cheating on him and used that as an excuse to destroy mine and his property so i feel like i would have to get defensive when asked about cheating because i need to know like "what can i do to convince you?"
