I can't imagine the pain, the trauma, the anguish. They are both so strong. Lucky is a funny word to use here but despite having endured such horrors they are lucky to be alive and to have each other. I hope they are able to overcome and find new purpose and meaning in their lives. I hope Ben finds something that brings him even more joy than football did.
With prosthetic legs that are available today, he will be able to play football again. My father's friend lost a leg in the 1948 Dieppe Raid, (he used a prosthetic leg from the 1950-1950's which were no where near the technology of today. My father managed and his friend coached a successful youth football team in the 1950's to 1960's, which won the city and province champions.

You can see an example when you see in Israeli hospitals, doctors and nurses eating in the cafeteria, sitting at the same table with patient’s families. You do not see that in other countries. Especially in America where the staff of a hospital is like some other people, who have no interaction with the patients except as a patient.

NZ Behind you! Some of our people from the Church of all races came to defend Isreal in Australia, where they sang beautiful songs and performed a war dance to inspire courage in the IDF! Nearby there was angry, chaotic, and shouting people for Islamism,, destruction and Hamas apologetics. Their energy was, anger, violence, hate and intolerance.
