I was in Holyroodhouse on the same parade 4 years ago,I did cry like a baby.Everybody should see it at least once in a lifetime.I cant explain the emotions and the feelings during the march of this wonderful guys,they deserve to be called The heroes.The locals were telling us this soldiers were fighting in Afganistan,Irak etc...so this is an honor for them to be in this special group. I love Scotland and the Scots and their Whisky with no ice!

I spent a week in Scotland when i was in the Navy and I loved it. Rolling green hills, fish and chips and Tennents Lager. A small town with the the most loving welcoming people. The bag pipes is the most looked forward to in the US for a parade.

The lads very smartly attired in a variation of the Black Watch tartan, plain but appropriate sporran- and the Royal Stewart tartan on the bagpipes- correct as this is a royal regiment.
It's a pity that the Royal Scots and the K.O.S.B were amalgamated into this bastardised R.R.oS. all the history and identity of the regiments who made up the Scottish division trashed on the bonfire of cuts and savings.

This battalion is descended from the oldest regiment of the British Army, the Royal Scots and another regiment called the King's Own Scottish Borderers (KOSB). Both were grand regiments.
My three brothers and myself served in Scottish Regiments all over the place,,,No matter what a mans colour he stepped up and put it on the line,,,So till you share your last bit of compo with one who served shut thy trap,,,,Trapper,,,,
I served alongside the KOSB Battle group in 2003 in Iraq. There were men and women of a colours from all over the Commonwealth in that Battle group. I as a Scot in the RLC call them all my brothers and sisters. Let the haters do their cowardly hating while real heroes defend their right to free speach.

For example, RSDG are cavalry and these troops are infantry. How do we know this? Cavalry regiments don't carry a colour/standard.; they carry a guidon. Here we have a colour party so infantry is all it can be, How do we know this is 1SCOTS? They're wearing Government tartan , note the Pipe Major's pipe bannner and they play Blue Bonnets O'er the border

There is a band called HOT CHILI PIPERS. NOT PEPPERS. It’s a Scottish band and they pop music on the pipes. Saw. Them in Bahrain during one of the formula 1 Grand Prix that I went to. Brilliant sound. Look them up on UA-cam
