Doris Day inspired me to take singing lessons. The first song I learned was Que sera. I got to the point of being attracted to the teacher because we were close in age. I had asked her for a date. The school had a no dating policy. Then one day my teacher decided to quit and I had given her my phone number to be friends. She had never called me, this was the last song that we did together.
