Love that they listen about the monthly tab flipping to the month . Removing the coloring pages smart . Love that EC is going back to the basics
Me too! Their focus on functionality really translates to my brain and helps me to focus on that as well. They are starting to find a perfect balance between pretty without sacrificing functionality!
EC Launch is like planner Christmas! Also, I wish they had all 12 months in those little rectangular stickers. They have colors that coordinate with 10 of the months, but there's always 2 months that don't have stickers to match them
I LOVE that they have more lined notes pages, I am not a huge fan of dot grid and graph pages for notes, so I love all of the extra lined pages
The mini calendar in the weekly layouts drive me nuts because the week in the layout starts on a Monday but the week in the mini monthly starts on a Sunday!
So nice to have so many notes pages. Eleven at the end and 12 throughout the months...23 pages! Plus the dashboards. It’s very nice. I prefer the colorful layers in vertical.
I thought each month had two notes pages plus the dashboard for a total of 35 lined pages, right?
Looks like I’ll be frankenplanning the colorful pages and monthly spread with the neutral weekly pages. I like this theme so much more than last year’s ❤️

I'm new to your reviews... EXCELLENT! I am also new to EC and your review helped me a lot; I like how you pointed out a few things that made me go "Hmmm, why is it designed this way" (the tab not flipping to the monthly layout, for example). Flower Power is adorable, too!!
I am getting the Floral, Hourly. I love both designs but since I am a functional planner and don't decorate, having the flower details is perfect for me. I am so happy that they brought the 1/2 hr boxes back, and the extra lined pages at the back makes this the perfect planner for me. I can't wait to get my hands on one!

I bought a yearly through DEC 2020 and im so bummed (well, not really because i love it! But i ADORE the new theme, specially because of the half hours and the flipping directly to the month 😂😂 i think they were significant positive changes and i ADORE THE DUO PENS!
I really think I’ll pick the layered theme, vertical, colorful! My goodness are these beautiful!
I feel like EC has stepped it up with the stickers. i reallly like the stickers in the sticker book and at the back of the planners whereas before ive thought they were kind of throw aways.
I Love the flower power version. I think it is so pretty, but I love flowers. They make me smile. The quotes pages are so pretty!
I’m going for the colorful in the layers design with the hourly layout, bound in rose gold.
The colorful layers is beautiful! The tab on the month is wonderful! The only change I would still like to see for the hourly is M-Th on the left side and F-Sun and notes on the right side, but I am sure lefties really appreciate it the way it is :-) Their paper is addicting, lol!
The round sticker is to put on your box the planner came in to label it. 😊

I can’t wait!!! Def getting neutral layouts hourly! Now I’m undecided I might want the daily! Such a touch choice this year
I love the idea of the daily planner but my only complaint is that I am one of those people that wants full page layouts for Saturdays and Sundays. Those days are my weekends so a lot of my structure needs to be focused on those days. I ended up getting a neutral hourly in the classic life planner and I'll wait and see about the daily if improvements are made. I also went with the hourly because I was able to get one of the Wonder Woman covers which speaks to my soul a bit.

I love the flower power hourly!!!! I wish it came in the daily duo. I will need to wait to see which planner will work best for me.
If flower power were in the double daily I would have had a harder decision. I ended up just ordering the hourly and added the flower To-Do dashboard.
I’m definitely getting the colorful layers hourly and I think this year I may get the pocket monthly to keep in my purse. I always struggle with remembering what I have on my calendar when I’m on the go and I think that might be the solution. Thank you for your review! I can’t wait for next week.

I am so torn now. I love the room the daily gives but I also love looking at my whole week. Decision Decisions.
I love both options this year! I don't love the flower cover but it's probably my favorite for the interior pages. But they're truly both beuatiful. Normally I'm a neutral fan, but I'm pretty sure I'll go colorful this year. So. Many. Good. Choices! I had left EC but I think I'm coming back this year. The extra notes pages (and getting rid of those coloring pages!!!) are huge for me too! And I agree - the calendar on the tabbed page is critical! I'm coming home, EC!!
Could you do a video on what you do with your notes pages??
I still don’t understand why, on the Academic calendar, the future calendar at the end doesn’t begin with July of that current year. So if I have something between July and January, I have no where to put that. Usually it’s the dog’s vaccinations or a dentist appt. I’ve said it every year.

Thank you for the multiple layouts so we can compare! Today (I reserve the right to change my mind lol) I plan to order the Layers neutral in the vertical layout. Then I will also be trying the daily. Probably not at launch since I have the daily petites, but I'm sure I'll be swayed after getting the new vertical Life Planner.
I’ve gotten the colorful hourly since it launched and, especially after seeing it this year, I have no reason to change it up! 😍

@@JenPlans My only hesitation was whether I wanted to go Layers or Flower Power, but after seeing the vibrant colors on the quote pages, it solidified colorful Layers for me!

The daily having Saturday and Sunday on one page is a bummer. But at least I know the EC daily won't work for me. Thank you for sharing.

I have been using an Erin Condren LifePlanner since I started nursing school and now I use one to manage two jobs! I love my planners, but I have one complaint. The calendar in the top right corner of the pages in the hourly planner start on Sunday and yet the week begins on Monday. That is they way it is in the 2020 planner also. I really wish they would fix that. I am still a loyal customer, but that one fix would make me so happy!!!

Love the new layouts. I wish they had an option to put a note page after each weekly instead of all the notes pages at the end. I use an hourly for work but then need a separate notebook for tasks I need to complete on a weekly basis. If there was a note section after each weekly, I could use one book.
AHHH!!!! I can't decide if I want to stay with traditional hourly or the daily!! I really like that daily too! Not sure I want two separate planners though. I am sooooo happy they've put the tabs back on the calendar page. Great options this year! Thanks Jen for sharing. You're videos are always great.

Colorful layers vertical! I am actually most excited for the dual tip interchangeable pen/highlighter set! The fine or extra fine tip writes like butter. It's my favorite marker pen right now.

I always use one of the notes pages in the back for passwords for kids school and some online accounts. 😛 I’m excited about the flower power.
I will probably stick with my horizontal layout. I LOVE the flower power and I've gone with colorful for at least 3 years now, but there is just something catching my eye when I look at the neutral layers. It may be time for a change!!
Jen, love, love, your videos. I just got the yearly life planner for July 2020 to June 2021. I also got a notebook so I could start in May with drawing out my own calendars. Now I would like to add those to my life planner. I watched you uncoil and coil a binder and you make it look very easy. My question is, how many pages can I add without making the planner to bulky?
As much as I love preview day, I'm a calendar year planner, so I won't be buying anything until Q4. I'm also holding out hope that they'll be keeping the softbound lifeplanner and I can get an hourly layers version of that, lol.
Gasp! There is a STICKER BOOK in this layered pattern? Sqeeeee! Is there a layers monthly sticker book? I love the colorful layers! I’m considering running a monthly weekly calendar for central control.
Usually the monthly book comes out later in the year/around the new year!

I like the neutral layers w the rose gold coil and I also like the flower power in the weekly set up. Wondering how I can get both (maybe one will be for household finances/gardening schedule, the other for myself. Definitely need the pens, the washi tape and dispenser, the planny pack. I'm an Oct baby so will DEFINITELY get the Wicked Halloween covers for the fall.

Definitely getting the daily duo. I use a day designer at work and a soft bound EC for personal but I am going to attempt to keep everything in one planner 🙏🏻

Layers hourly neutral
Just purchased my neutral layers vertical planner 😉 and a few accessories.
I'm going through old EC stickers right now and they DID have those weekend stickers (7:36) before in sticker packs. The one I have is the Alphabets and Illustrations. I had NO RECOLLECTION of this during the first time I watched this video.
If I do order one it will be daily. Love all the planners and options!
I will be teaching next school year. I want to get the lesson planner. I got the vertical colorful layers school year calendar. I like the way you organize your planners. I do not want too many planners going at one time. So I was thinking a lesson planner and an hourly planner. I am not sure if I want my hourly planner to be the school year or traditional year. I still have one child in school. Decisions, decisions. I would like to hear more how to’s on using the planner. I have not used my stickers yet. I also use the erasable ink pens and not EC pens. I appreciate your feedback.
I've been trying to decide between the hourly, the colorful vertical, and the neutral vertical for weeks! After watching countless videos today, I've finally decided that I'm sticking with my neutral vertical. The colorful layers are GORGEOUS!!! I've been going back and forth all day. If only the hourly had the same column width as the verticals, it would be perfect! I can't stand the open space that exposes the lines on the sides of every single one of my stickers! uggggghhhh! (Also, and I really don't want to be the negative person here, I'm just truly wondering if I'm all alone in my preferences here: I would SO prefer to have ALL dot grid and NO lines, and I'm sorry, but even though I love florals in general, I think the Flower Power is so incredibly unattractive. Am I the only one??? I've noticed trending toward dog grid, and now there's none of it. :( )

The daily duo in neutral layers. I have always done the colorful one but I am looking for a change up. I am so excited for the Daily Duo, its going to play well with my productivity notebook that I got from the Mosaic store. I am so excited about this launch.

Hi Jen I got the flower power horizontal. The color layers daily duo. the color layers vertical. the 2020 Deluxe monthly in flower power and I am waiting for the 2021 Deluxe monthly in neutral layers.
I have a vertical January-December 2020 planner but also want to get one at launch. #struggleisreal

It is so baffling to me how many planner companies end their hourly planners so early. I am convinced they don't have anyone with slightly older kids or irregular job hours. My kids' activities go well beyond 7PM. The only one I have ever found with late hours is the Reflections Hourly. I want to love this planner, but that is such a dealbreaker. I would spend more time covering up the hours than writing.
I just use a half box sticker in the kind of ballpark area to mark my work shift.

IMO, I’d rather pay $5 less and skip the perpetual calendar. It’s just so unnecessary for me. I’m all about layers, but not sure of the color way yet.

You forgot to show us the softer color scheme in the duo.
I disagree wholeheartedly about the 6am-7pm. sure, you get the two extra lines for 8pm, but where does the Washi go? Do vertical users not get to decorate anymore?
