+colinfurze Yes!! Something I've wanted to do for years, and Have been waiting for you to do for years too! Suspension and everything, more like a little Formula 3 car than a gokart!
+colinfurze You so need to do something like this colin except with twin pulse jets on the sides and a massive engine + bb guns or something, it should be your next big project!
600.00 bucks.... This guy could build a 747 for bout a grand..... The things got 300.00 bucks worth of disc brakes on the front of it.... Don't get me wrong, it's a neat build... The only way he only has 600 bucks in it, is of he had about 5000.00 bucks worth of parts just laying around for free..... Had a friend build a similar project with a Honda powerplant, wound up using all "Kart" spec parts, and lotso free and donated parts, including the powerplant.... still spent 3500 to 4000..... would like to see a parts and price sheet on this thing.... Cool ass build tho....
Respect. I once built a go-kart, however I didn't put as much money into the frame as I did the engine. I used a DOHC 998cc, 124bhp Honda engine. Let's just say it never got to its top speed of around 140-150mph. I got lucky and only lost the go-kart and not my life.
Sounds like the clutch either IS or IS ABOUT to be gacked to me. It sort of slips it sounds like which doesn't surprise me. Might have to put in heavier springs/more plates or something, I'm sure consulting the what the street racers used to used for KZ engines would fix it if that is indeed whats up, I don't think its getting it to the gearbox without slipping though.
+jabadahut50 I agree that weight affects power but people have put bullet bike engines in smart cars and done donuts until the tires blew. I highly doubt this tube frame kart even weighs as much as a smart car let alone the double or triple weight of a smart car that it would have to be in order to be this slow. It's got to be some terrible gearing as has been mentioned or this thing is borked.
Finally someone who built an adequate frame with suspension. I would love plans for that thing. Looks like you attached the steering from a small car - why not.
I like that your neighbourhood didn't have little children running on the street while you did that. First I thought it was South West British Columbia, and then some palm trees happened. ..WHAT PART OF THE WORLD IS THAT??? putting it on my nice places to move list. Great video too.
This was so fun to watch! I laughed out loud at the "ooh, WHEE." at the end... I used to have as little slick tire kart with a Suzuki 175 5-box, and absolutely NOTHING could keep up with me up to about 80mph. This brought back memories...
Yea we need to see the frame. This looks more capable of using the motorcycles powe especially those large slicks in the back. Can we get a build thread or something? I would like to build a larger fame like this as well.
Now thats the ticket, small ,relatively cheap(to operate and repair),and definitely fast enough to do something stupid in!!!Hey,my kinda ride!! NICE!! Now trick it out and you got something!
seen your other vid with this, that thing looks massive, so big that it seems a 650 is under powered for it, also that it looks like your running 4 wheeler hubs on it instead of go kart so you can have those almost car sized tires on ot
Sick man, do you happen to have any plans for the frame and such? I'd be interested in building one myself even pictures of the project as it progress would be very helpful thanks, please get back to me.
+serge mario rakotonirina Yeah, I agree. Theres no way you could get even half the parts for $600. Heck, In my area you couldnt even get that engine for $600. The only thing that makes sense is that he already had a bunch of the parts and all he has spent to get the parts he didnt have was the $600.
Awesome Kart! How are you shifting and clutching? I'm assuming since there's nothing on the wheel it must be your right hand? But is it an auto clutch? It sound's like a strait up manual..
it could be a number of things with the way it sounds in shifts its most likely the clutch. no tellin how old it is plus its tryin to move twice the weight
a gxr600 would be awesome ..about double HP and half torque of the KZ ..( on the kz motor ) with tall gears and proper back pressure you could gear to 150 ish easy ...
I remember when I was young(go ahead, make fun) we took a go kart (coast to coast?) and a yamaha 350 engine and put them together. Terrorized the renta cop that wasn't allowed to go over the speed limit(my friend lived in what would now be called a gated neighborhood.) ahh the good old days.
That frame looks good (from what I can see) I need to build one of these.
+colinfurze yeah
+colinfurze Yes!! Something I've wanted to do for years, and Have been waiting for you to do for years too! Suspension and everything, more like a little Formula 3 car than a gokart!
Oh dear, slap a pulse jet on it while you're at it. 😂
+colinfurze You so need to do something like this colin except with twin pulse jets on the sides and a massive engine + bb guns or something, it should be your next big project!
Do it
600.00 bucks.... This guy could build a 747 for bout a grand..... The things got 300.00 bucks worth of disc brakes on the front of it.... Don't get me wrong, it's a neat build... notice how no one gives a fuck lol
Including me....
Robert Stevenson I think he had a lot of the parts already laying around
Exactly what I was thinking.
Even if he had the parts "just laying around" he still had to pay for them at one point.
so no chance he was given the parts ?
I'm sure the neighbors love him..
Speak for yourself, I love neighbors like this.
nice double wishbone suspension on the front looking at the tire wear you've done an awesome job on the suspension and wheel alignment.
nice job ;)
Do you have a video that shows this cart in detail ? Like what parts you used for the front end , wheel hubs , brakes , ect ?
Norman Murray build your own.
Diego
Gilbert Sanchez ever heard of research? Maybe he’s trying to build one but didn’t know to much. Get your head out of your ass

So let me get this straight, three minutes of driving and all we get to see is the back end and the front tires?
w
LOL , my thoughts also, might be a lawnmower engine on it
That thing made great use of a darn good motorcycle engine.
Is it just me, or does this make more noise than horsepower?
Looks like you're doing 30mph tops.
StopaskingformynameUA-cam Sounded like the engine was being murdered to go 50mph
+StopaskingformynameUA-cam Yeah, Im really confused about that. A 650 in that thing, he should be doing donuts with ease!
+StopaskingformynameUA-cam gearing..
keep in mind that this vehicle may be significantly heavier than the bike it was originally meant to be put on as well.
+jabadahut50 I agree that weight affects power but people have put bullet bike engines in smart cars and done donuts until the tires blew. Really good budget build, well done. Looks like a heck of a lotta fun!
Can u make a link for your build plans
Please make a build list or a walk around!!!!! this thing is awesome!!
Without even watching the video, I "liked" it because of your engine choice!
That thing is built like a tank can't believe $600 created that 650 beast
awesome home build man. looks like a seriously fun project.
You can see you put a lot of work into this Kart. The suspension looks great, now you just need some more horsepower.
Finally someone who built an adequate frame with suspension. I would love plans for that thing. Looks like you attached the steering from a small car - why not.
I would love to see a good walk around vid of this machine
Hey, where did you buy your tires and rims?
I like that your neighbourhood didn't have little children running on the street while you did that. First I thought it was South West British Columbia, and then some palm trees happened.
..WHAT PART OF THE WORLD IS THAT??? putting it on my nice places to move list. Great video too.
please subscribe
Nice I would love to see anything you have of the build process if you don't mind sharing
Is it me or the camera or does he need more gears... Great acceleration but low speed
Pretty cool build and I never finish anything either man,so don't feel bad!!
Awesome kart. Cool video!
This was so fun to watch! I laughed out loud at the "ooh, WHEE." at the end... I used to have as little slick tire kart with a Suzuki 175 5-box, and absolutely NOTHING could keep up with me up to about 80mph. This brought back memories...
CBR600RR Powered Race Car Doughnuts, Fast Acceleration 0-60mph 4.4 seconds: ua-cam.com/video/r3QQMiFF5ao/v-deo.html
Yea we need to see the frame. This looks more capable of using the motorcycles powe especially those large slicks in the back. Can we get a build thread or something? I would like to build a larger fame like this as well.
Nice kart do you have a more detailed video of how it is built?
Silent Death no he does not
Now thats the ticket, small ,relatively cheap(to operate and repair),and definitely fast enough to do something stupid in!!!Hey,my kinda ride!! NICE!! Now trick it out and you got something!
Good example shown in stopping at a STOP sign.
That frame looks really nice
That's a Bad Ass Kart, great job.
Thats sick it has suspension!
Nice job building this kart! do you have a parts list of what you put Into the build?
CBR600RR Powered Race Car Doughnuts, Fast Acceleration 0-60mph 4.4 seconds: ua-cam.com/video/r3QQMiFF5ao/v-deo.html
I've liked the idea of these for a while, but where could you even use one properly?
+GunFun ZS I dont know ..I put a KZ650 in a quad :)
At a parking lot XD
Autocross or open wheel class racing
They can be street legal with the proper aids, at least here in costa rica.
Whats the top speed on this thing? Im hearing alot of noise but it doesnt seem to be moving all that quick.
much nicer cart.. bigger wheels, more control.. well done.. put some treaded tires on and you will have much more control yet.. more traction..
I always wanted to build a go kart with a motorcycle engine that looks like an indy car. lol. Where is the clutch at on that though?
seems the gearing is off a bit, heavier gear ratio would do wonders
Needs a better view of the kart itself, looks fun and fast!!!
That's just awesome, haha getting a bit loose there mate!!
seen your other vid with this, that thing looks massive, so big that it seems a 650 is under powered for it, also that it looks like your running 4 wheeler hubs on it instead of go kart so you can have those almost car sized tires on ot
Do you have a build page or something? I'd like to know more about the frame and suspension. That is, I'd like to build one myself.
Is there a web site with build info - this look perfect!
Nice Man Cart I'm gonna have to build one of these thanks for the video and idea.
Nice cart, but you would drive it around your neighborhood, running stop signs etc?
Sick man, do you happen to have any plans for the frame and such? I'd be interested in building one myself even pictures of the project as it progress would be very helpful thanks, please get back to me.
i like the sound of it,,, turbo time?
Have you considered the benefits of a sturdy CVT instead of the differential?
What did you use for hubs on the rear axle to accommodate the large tires?
so cool the sound as well its awesome great to be you dude
A go-kart with suspension not bad!
Do you have a material list and building plans for this?
600$. How did you achieve that price range? All of these parts exceed easily 1000$?
+serge mario rakotonirina Yeah, I agree. Theres no way you could get even half the parts for $600. Heck, In my area you couldnt even get that engine for $600. The only thing that makes sense is that he already had a bunch of the parts and all he has spent to get the parts he didnt have was the $600.
This is cool and all, but did he just disobey the stop sign?
where did you get such a big straight axle??
Why didn't you show more of this cart?
Very cool. Sounds like my KZ.
I wonder what the front and sides look like I only seen the back of it
I want to ask about that go kart construction , is it aluminium or it's metal and how thick they are ?
any chance you can send blueprints or something similar? i'd love to build one like it!
Nice built i like it! Do you have some more pictures and where did you get those tires and other parts from?
Awesome bro nice kart you should put a wing and ground affects on it for down force.
Awesome build
Hello! Could you tell me what is the size of front and rear wheels and tires?
I'm building a very similar configuration. Care to share what specific steering you used? Thanks.
Awesome Kart! How are you shifting and clutching? I'm assuming since there's nothing on the wheel it must be your right hand? But is it an auto clutch? It sound's like a strait up manual..
I hate that he didn't even show it
Have you made any advancements since this video, like engine or aero?
it could be a number of things with the way it sounds in shifts its most likely the clutch. no tellin how old it is plus its tryin to move twice the weight
Are those tires asphalt quarter midegt or asphalt oval??
Sick. What kind of body on that
did they put in speedbumps just for you?
how did you build the frame;
I was going to build something just like that go kart.
xX_Trouble652_Xx I seriously doubt the driver built the frame. Some racing cart he bought somewhere, but he might be a design engineer, might not
+kirbylee57 its not like any kart ive ever seen. looks home built.
+kirbylee57 not in a bad way though
looks like he doesnt want anyone copying his design , based on the lack of full view images of the kart
do you know what a stop sign is?
looks like Florida somewhere!?
Was this video about a go kart? I dont think I saw a go kart in this video.
Sure would of liked to see the rear end & from the top view
From video I do not get impression of this one moving much. Nice sound though ! What is top speed and acceleration ?
What size of rear axle was used, because I have a similar motor but don't know what size to buy
what are the are the spring rates on the front and rear?
What Tires/Rims are those? Like Dimensions and what did you take em off?
clutch slipping?
kinda sounds like its struggling and lower RPM's. is it geared incorrectly?
I was thinking that same thing
74 Square Body he shifts a little two early
how did you setup the clutch and shifter?? Im doing something similar with a 100cc kawasaki engine for my lil bro
please tell me there is track DIY karts?
a gxr600 would be awesome ..about double HP and half torque of the KZ ..( on the kz motor ) with tall gears and proper back pressure you could gear to 150 ish easy ...
Where can I get a custom go kart build because I have a gsxr-1100 95 motor and a fame
Very nice creativity good work 👉👍👈
$600! wow, well worth it
Where can I order a used model of this kart?
What kind of tyres are these?
Time to pit and change oil and filter after a ride around the block!!
How fast does this rig go???
I remember when I was young(go ahead, make fun) we took a go kart (coast to coast?) and a yamaha 350 engine and put them together. Terrorized the renta cop that wasn't allowed to go over the speed limit(my friend lived in what would now be called a gated neighborhood.) ahh the good old days.
Back when cops followed the damn rules.
Back when cops followed the damn rules.
its like a mini formula 1 car sounds nice wish i could see the speedo
Could u do an tutorial on how to build one
How was your cost so low I will buy it for double that
how big are those wheels ?
