I don’t know if it’s still canon, but a detail from the old Battletome I liked is how the BCR don’t eat their dead, instead viewing them as property of the Everwinter and leaving them to be swallowed by the storm.
I like the thought that they are a bit separated. Not just the Gutbusters and Beastclaw Raiders, but even within those subfactions you got competing tribes. My favourite is the Winterbite tribe. They seem to not really try to escape the Everwinter like the others, and have become more blessed with it. If everyone were just best friends, they would become boring. Personally I would love to play a warband of Ogors (and their beasts) that has been fully blessed with the Everwinter, immune to frost. Quite possibly lost their mind in the process. Anyway, freezing up Fellwater is a good way to force some Troggoth Hags to ally with you 😉.
It's a shame when the lore forces you to ignore it in order to play the game. Meaning the two aspects of the Maw Tribes not really integrating into a cohesive force.
I am 99% sure we are going to get a hunter & cat warband in Shadespire s3, could be interesting further development. Maybe they'll appear in a book too.
I would say the more of them there are the more powerful the ever winter around them gets so if there’s only one it’s just chilly around him but if there’s 50 ice starts forming on the ground and icicles in your snot kind of a thing
@@amberprice9003 I have yet to read the full battle tome but I believe it's in the lifestyle, since magic is tied with the mind and soul. Their ancestors already had a nomadic culture, then for whatever reason the curse hit them in a way that pushes that to a more extreme pressure. Maybe if a raider started living like a gutbuster (fully, not just being subjugated) and followed the mawpath the curse would disappear for him, but they can't see that, assuming they'd even desire it. That would make sense since all the others spent their time tracing a giant maw, like a feeding ritual to gorkamorka. Maybe the everwinter is indeed him, hungrily following those who wander for their tribute
One of the few lores that I’m not a fan of. It just feels too vague imo. “They’re hungry and storm because reasons...?” I’d love to see these guys get more details expanded upon. Still, great video! Keep the content coming!
The whole always hungry seems lame too. They are big guys so it makes sense they need to eat a lot to sustain themselves. But the eternal hunger is just... dumb
I imagine when the ice thaws, the frozen bleastclaw will feast on their own mounts and allies until half have had their fill. Cool origin story for an army. They would still continue to roam with the shame of failing Gorkamorka so much that he forced them to cannabalism.

Payton Burrows Unless the new lore specifically conflicts with previous lore, all the lore from old editions are cannon.
Been waiting for this 😍
I love your Chanel

I hope the theory that they free an ice god is true. And that it is the ice widow from the old world
Lore and mini wise- A hero yeti, like an alpha or something. I think that would be cool.

Loving this vid as I sit painting some Ironguts and Gluttons

What is the “critical mass” threshold where, like, what percentage of a particular Mawtribe must be Beastclaw in order to proc the Everwinter?
If there are 999 Gutbusters travelling with a single Beastclaw warrior, do they everwinter? What it it’s 70-30?
Those are awesome questions and I was asking them myself. Sadly the book doesn’t give a real answer :/

Also what's the difference between Beastclaw and Gutbuster. They don't seem to be any different genetically ao how does the Everwinter recognise them?
