so apparently the first covers compilation i made got picked up by the youtube algorithm or something cuz that shit is popping off. so i decided to see how many more i could scrounge up, mostly from instagram livestreams this time. there's some great finds in here, such as the totoro theme, a sailor moon ed, tenniscoats, and yo la tengo. there are probably more covers out there in her livestreams but digging through them is a lot of work and theres no guarantee i can even identify what shes playing. i could make a nuuamm solo comp tho.

When I was younger, I busked in Tokyo for a year to survive. One of my 'fans' (a salaryman) would always come by and ask for Country Roads, which I always sang for him, making up some of the lyrics as I went. He was very generous. So many kind, generous people passed through my life there.I still have the cards and letters people put in my guitar case. Thirty years later. Arigato gozaimas, Tokyo.

Same but the opposite, I’m going through some things right now and crying everyday is the norm but every time I listen to her nothing seems to matter anymore

Missed my chance to see her live and I really hope I get another chance later in life. Her work has been there for me when I needed it most it’d be a dream come true to see her perform. Such a beautiful soul.

I think if I were to describe what she sounds to me... Her voice feels like the subtle breeze, on a day full of (almost unbearably) warm sunshine. Like, the type of wind that comes between the transition of winter to spring.
