Great video, Pea! Maybe you should make more videos to advise Filipina what bad behaviors they should try to change to improve relationships with westerners. Cheers! ❤️ 🖖
Wow. A Filipina family that pays back loans! That was the most unbelievable part of the whole story. Very good romantic story. Stay together for all the love. Another great interview with the Pea.
Ten years ago today, I met my Filipina in person in Manila. We had been in an online relationship only about six weeks when she suggested a "shortcut" and meet in person. So I immediately book flights for us to meet up in Manila. She was in Binalbagan and I was in Virginia USA. She was shocked that I booked a trip so fast. A great trip, to say the least! Nine months later, we met in Cebu where I proposed to her. It took a while to get our fiance visa. We've been married for 8 and a half years. Every May 27th, we celebrate strawberry shortcut day (with strawberry shortcake).
Really enjoyed this Pea! About 8 years ago, my nephew announced that he had been communicating with a Filipina in Naval for 2 years and was flying to the Philippians to meet her and her family. She was a nurse and they moved back to the USA where she easily got licensed, got a job, and they have 2 beautiful children. Love to see all the relationships that work out so well! Gary
You are a fascinating young lady, Your interviews are brilliant! I hope you are recognized for your talent! We have news reporters in the US that do not speak English as well as you do, and they are from here it is their home language. I admire you for producing wonderful content! (And you do it solo!) Thank you.
Another super-interesting video Pea, and a great love story. Great to see a less stereotypical UK/Filipina relationship and their honesty despite their flaws is refreshing. Their compliments about you midway through are well-observed too…you have great insight and intelligence - you really are a great ambassador for the Philippines ❤
Don't you just love a good romance story? I especially liked how Steve & Di met, very casual with no agenda's. The more successful relationships seem to start that way as opposed to online dating services. And wow, that Filipina radar seems very powerful, perhaps the Ukrainian military can make use of that! Pea, I hope you and Steve & Di can stay friends, you and Di are so much alike in many ways and we would like to hear from them again.
Hahahahaha Yes, the Ukrainians need to deploy Filipinas to the front lines! If we can stop the missiles, at least we can tell you who’s cheating on whom 😂😂😂
They seem to truly love each other. That's nice. Interesting interview, Pea. I sincerely hope these two last forever. Thanks for showcasing their story.
Great couple and good job mate👌. I am also a UK trained nurse living in California. I have been to Tanauan and Tacloban 4 times this year since opening. I have a beautiful asawa in Leyte and we have such a beautiful relationship similar to this couple👌👌. I loved this interview as the couple were honest about their short comings as well as their strengths👌👌. Great Job Pea
Her: I was engaged to an American while having an affair with a German and by the way I hate kids” Him: “Perfect match! Just the woman I’ve been looking for” Back to the Future!
Another great interview Miss Pea. It’s true, all of us westerners are not old and broken down nor are we just looking to be a sexpat. Many of us are just looking for a nice Filipina. Yes, it can be hard to find a nice Filipina but when you do find her it is totally worth it. This couple shows it doesn’t matter your past, it’s all about what you do now in the present and work on your future. I had a bad marriage with a Filipina who I brought here to America and it was a nightmare but it doesn’t mean I’m not worthy to find a caring and sweet Filipina of my own. It can and does happen and there are far more success stories than failures. You just have to be honest and do your due diligence. You will find her. It may take time but there are good ones out there. If this couple can survive and be happy with their past imagine what can happen to regular guys like me. I’m 59, in the best shape of my life and financial stable. In fact, most people say I don’t look more than 45 at the most. It will take a Filipina with a hell of a lot of stamina to keep up with me being a musician and athlete. If you want your relationship to work you both have to work at it and when I come over I know I will find the right girl for me. Thanks Pea for showing a success story that’s positive. There seems to be too much negativity regarding western and Filipina relationships. You make your own successes or failures. You just have to decide which one you want. As for me, I will choose to be happy and find a nice girl and nothing will stop me from finding a good Filipina.
Well done Pea! To me this was your best interview so far. What a funny and honest couple. Furthermore, we got to learn a tiny little more about you. Please tell us more like they did about them. 🤣🤣
Makes me feel good. Although I met my fiancee through Filipino Cupid I feel our relationship is very good. I am heading to Mindanao to bring her back to the US for marriage. Glad to see that things worked out for them. I feel my relationship with Violeta is on the right track. We have been totally honest with each other. Knowing both the good and the bad. Can't wait to bring her here to start our life together
Pea, as always, great interview. It's nice to see a success story, one that had to be worked on by both parties. It's nice to see that they are able to be together despite not everyone in both families being overjoyed at their union. That's life though, isn't it, not everything works perfectly and not everyone sees things the same way. But, this couple shows if you have the commitment you can see it through. On a side note, you look lovely in purple! You always look lovely but the purple was extra nice! Sorry for the flirting ,,, I couldn't help it. ha ha
What a wonderful interview! Diana actually has British accent. Pea your english is amazing you must have worked very hard. Your talent is so amazing Pea. Thank you for sharing.
my asawa is from Davao, from a middle class family. we have a home in Davao now to retire , 14 years married and i have no regrets great video Miss Pea
Fortunately, my family doesn't thrive on drama, so my filipina wife of 10 years is excepted and loved by my family here in US, even though there is a 25 year age difference. My daughter is 9 months younger than my wife with no animosity on either side. Like Steve, I've been around the block a few times with the ladies I've been with, unlike my wife from the provinces of Bohol who made me her 1st and forever lover. So, more proof that if the intentions are honest and moral from the start, a lasting relationship is easy to get!
I met over 200 philipinas online but mostly it seamed that thay were more interested in repraduceing or citizen ship to the USA, than in compact ability. I wanted someone who would be with me for the rest of my life. And not in the USA but here. I found my wife on( Phil date ) came to the Philippines to meet her in person, met her at the airport and it was Love at first sight, married 14 years now. The happiest years of my life.
What a delight! Thank you all for a very candid, true conversation. (If you follow the Pea at all you would know she's not afraid to ask the hard questions!). Many years ago, a wonderful friend met the love of his life in the Philippines. Both had a story, their married life was a journey, but they were on it together, and deeply in love. The stereotypes, the "mail order bride" assumptions were all proven wrong as they enjoyed over 20 years and a US=born daughter together. Just say NO to stereotypes, and may God grant you many years!
I luv this video the way their relationship developed. Their happy and so spontaneous. Genuine relationships are possible when people are open and honest. The real humor is nice. Adorable couple.❤️👍❤️👏
I didn't watch the whole video, but I skim through it and both of these people are very... I would say they are down to earth and intelligent. They seem like very high-quality people and a good match. In my estimation both of them are very lucky, and they are a good looking couple. When I have more time I will watch the entire video. Thanks for sharing and thanks for the informative videos Pea!
It was really nice to see two people who have genuine affection for each other. Every time she wrapped her arms around his and had that beautiful smile you just know they enjoy being together. Now if I could have that I would be in heaven lol
What an adorable couple. Even though we all have shaky parts in our pasts, you can't make a smooth road without some stones. You always find a way to bring out the best information, honest, and sincere. And you generally bring out the humor whenever it is appropriate. Very well done PEA you are truly FIRST CLASS!
Good evening Pea. Very amusing video. Beautiful dress looks great on you and gorgeous hair. BTW your ring matches your dress. Looking forward to your next video. Hope you have a lovely weekend 🥰🥰💋💋🌹🌹
Hi Pea, it's always nice to hear people's stories and hopefully since they've been together for 8 years their relationship will last for the rest of their lives. Again the central message here is about honest regardless of your past. It's better to be honest about things you may be ashamed of and be rejected than to live a lie and hide who you really are. On a different topic I see (on another channel) that tourists no longer need a pre-departure PCR test from the end of May as long as they're fully vaccinated with 1 booster. Can you confirm if this is correct?
Hi Sweet Pea, Wonderful interview your style is getting more polished and comfortable every video! It's wonderful to listen to this couple's story, and how they deal with the stereotypes...There is still hope, that anyone can find the right match for each other! CONGRATULATIONS HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! PS: It's nice to learn a little more about the "Life of Pea!" 😊 Salamat po
That's a very nice interview you did these two are obviously very happy it's also nice to hear that the attitudes in England at least are changing this was a very lovely interview.
Lovely interview. if you interested we have a story as well. Lithuanian living in UK (been in Philippines 3 times before) and Filipina. Met her online during corona. unsuccessful meeting in Morocco, losing hope, sent proposal ring for Christmas and it was stolen by Cebu DHL depot, etc. after restrictions lifted I came to Philippines, we got married, now sorting out paperwork. I'm coming back again to Bacolod at September, but we will be in Dumagete as well.
What a great interview! Awesome couple, the Oldfields. They kind of played out my theory that the best things in life seem to happen when you don't try to engineer your life, but just let it happen...Great job, Pea!... 😉
That was an amazing video Pea So much to learn I am sorry your relationship did not have a happy ending but I am sure it still will Thank you also to the couple for being so open and honest
Very nice, Pea. Here in America, the divorce rate is around 50%. That's why people are always so surprised when they hear about a couple who has been happily married a long time (especially in Hollywood). Everyone talks about how honesty and communication are important to a successful marriage. Observing your guests today, I think there is another important factor that can keep a marriage alive and well: laughter. They say that laughter is the best medicine, and it seems that it can be a preventative medicine to stave off unhappiness and divorce in a marriage. The Oldfields seemed to be proof of that. They laughed as an expression of their joy in being together, and it seemed genuine. They laughed at both their happy moments, as well as the rough patches they experienced. So I think their shared sense of humor has helped their married life a great deal (I especially liked his little joke about her mother shouting "Sold!" when she heard about their engagement. Another great video, Pea. I'm happy for the Oldfields' success.
Stunningly good interview miss pea 👍 the honesty between this lovely couple is very refreshing 👍👍👍 I predict before the end of the year you Will hit 200,000 subscribers GOD BLESS 🇵🇭🇺🇸🙏🙏🙏
Miss Pea, This interview was one of the very best you have ever done, and this couple proves that a satisfying experience can happen true love. They are a very nice couple, and I would love to meet them if they ever had the time and inclination. They don’t tell everyone the cost of the paperwork to get all of these things done
It was good to be introduced to a Filipina who doesn''t wan't kids (they do exist 🙂) and to find another piece of the puzzle that is The Filipina Pea. Thank you for being open about yourself and your past life. As they have been married for 8 years and had a tumultuous first year there is no doubt that they will stay together. I believe that your time is coming Pea. God Bless.
He was married to his first wife for 20 years and when the opportunity came up to cheat he took it without regard to his wife or family. I hope he does not do that again but the precedent is there. If one does not have God as their moral compass then all options are on the table.
@@TheFilipinaPea Pea I was once told this by a Filipina - "When it is not God's time you cannot rush it - when it is God's time you cannot stop it". I believe that when it is God's time it will come true. God bless.
It takes a lot to come clean when you first meet someone and let them know what they are getting themselves into. This couple is very interesting. I liked how they were very up front about the circumstances of how they met, that they are on the same page with expectations of the relationship and that they seem very much in sync with each other. Great video. Much food for thought.
I’ve been with my wife for 11 years and we have been married for 9 years we are both really happily married we have one child and we have almost finished our house.I love watching you Filipina Pea I have learned a lot from you.Your videos are really well done.
brought back memories; in this way the UK hasn't changed much, it seems. I'm from the UK, but this is quite unheard of here in Norway. People do not have chequebooks or receive cheques; and money is paid directly into one's account; even cash is seldom used here. Thanks for sharing that success story.
What a great interview Pea.... just shows you many can make marriage work. My wife is 15 years younger then me and we have been married for over 44 years now and I love her so much and she me. She is what I am not and I her,,,,
@@TheFilipinaPea I appreciate that but before I speak about another's situation I want to have more details. I'm not asking you to dive deeper. It would help if I met them both. My feelings are mixed because of baggage I carry around. I'm trying not to judge. Each of us come to everything from our own perspective and no two are the same. I'm not perfect and the positive I took from this couple was their honesty between each other, if not their other partners. Now you know more about me than you thought you would.
Another interesting video for sure, but by hearing more about your past it is equally as interesting. And maybe you should make a video about your accomplishments and where you came from, to show to everybody that you're beginning does not have to be your end. You are very fascinating lady, and I definitely hope someday to meet you
Very nice couple very nice interview very nice video I hope that many of the subscribers will see that two people from very different cultures and back ground can find Love and Happiness with each other especially when the Lord is in that Relationship I Love this video as well my gwapa friend pea I hope that your family is doing well. Very great video Pea. Thank you for sharing the story of those two. Very interesting couple and I’m glad to hear that they travel together. I just hope someday I’ll be able to take my girlfriend traveling around the Philippines and the to passport countries. Some day we’ll get to go.
I love listening to their story. I also love listening to both of their accents. Her British accent shows how living in a country can affect their accents
Extremely insightful Interview. Bottom Line, Be Honest, Be Communicative ( Communication is one of the Most Important aspects even in friendships but especially in Relationships). Slow Down take your Time, as one Expat Has Repeatedly Stated. Be Respectful, open , and Understanding.
I love this story and how they worked it out! Almost all older people in the west have a love history that can come back and haunt them! My fiance and I have had issues very simular to them. I love how they interact and seem to really love being with each other! God Bless Pea

This is one of the best interviews you have done I really enjoyed it
Great blog ms pea. keep it up! God bless!
Stunningly good interview miss pea 👍 the honesty between this lovely couple is very refreshing 👍👍👍 I predict before the end of the year you Will hit 200,000 subscribers GOD BLESS 🇵🇭🇺🇸🙏🙏🙏
Her entire family has got there shi$$ together. Great to see that!
Great video. I especially love the Scottish/Filipina pirate at the end. Ta very much.
God Bless.
I’m glad you have confidence in me, Ian - now let’s see if it comes true 😊
He was married to his first wife for 20 years and when the opportunity came up to cheat he took it without regard to his wife or family. I hope he does not do that again but the precedent is there. If one does not have God as their moral compass then all options are on the table.
@@TheFilipinaPea Pea I was once told this by a Filipina - "When it is not God's time you cannot rush it - when it is God's time you cannot stop it". I believe that when it is God's time it will come true. God bless.
What a delightful couple! It just goes to show - love will find a way!
Thanks, Pea for all the great content!
You've done it again Pea great video lovely couple great story. I wish them well.
That's the kind of relationship I want, they looked so happy 🥲🥀
And they still are, too 👍
brought back memories; in this way the UK hasn't changed much, it seems. I'm from the UK, but this is quite unheard of here in Norway. People do not have chequebooks or receive cheques; and money is paid directly into one's account; even cash is seldom used here. Thanks for sharing that success story.
We rarely pay cheques in to banks in the UK , everything is done online , I haven't used a cheque since 1993 ...
Great awesome couple blessed
What a great interview Pea.... just shows you many can make marriage work. My wife is 15 years younger then me and we have been married for over 44 years now and I love her so much and she me. She is what I am not and I her,,,,
Quite interesting Miss Pea. I wish them well and continued success. I'll hold my comments there.
Well thanks, John, but you’re always welcome to say whatever you wish 👍😊
You are very fascinating lady, and I definitely hope someday to meet you
Well thanks Robert!

What a wonderful post Ms. Pea. I did view your post until the end🧐 What a fun couple👩❤👨 I do have my own (positive) thoughts, but your comment section is not the place for it. I truly do, wish them well🙂 Thank you Ms. Pea, for always making my day.💕 Cheers🥰 Semper Fi
Well thanks, Steve! Now I’m wondering what your thoughts are 😂
Very great video Pea. Thank you for sharing the story of those two. Very interesting couple and I’m glad to hear that they travel together. I just hope someday I’ll be able to take my girlfriend traveling around the Philippines and the to passport countries. Some day we’ll get to go.
Hope things are still going well with her 👍❤️
@@TheFilipinaPea yes Pea very well we miss each other a lot
This is a really nice story. Thanks for bringing it to us Pea!
My parents were poor and had 6 children , we had a great childhood because we were well loved and we worked together in everything.
Enjoyed this video Pea 👍
I love listening to their story. I also love listening to both of their accents. Her British accent shows how living in a country can affect their accents
Yes, the accent sure does start to creep in 👍
It took me several years for mine to fade 😂
@@TheFilipinaPea Not gone yet Pea ........ when can we see u
back in the UK, u need an accent top up ?
yes, true romance, loyalty and trust are what binds the souls. going thru something chaotic with your mate creates a truly winning couple
You are a very intelligent pea, keep it up😊👏👏
Good for them!
A great relationship takes hard work and dedication
And I sense they have a great one, yes 👍😊
@@TheFilipinaPea YES 🙌
Thank you Pea! Have a wonderful weekend!
Thanks for tuning in, TOTP 👍❤️
There are a lot of UA-cam channels that focus on the Philippines. Yours is the best. Most of the others just rehash topics you covered first.
Great video Pea - as always 🙂
I love this story and how they worked it out! Almost all older people in the west have a love history that can come back and haunt them! My fiance and I have had issues very simular to them. I love how they interact and seem to really love being with each other! God Bless Pea
