I don't think they consider it a problem, though. Regionals always end up being offered worldwide, and the regional events every February feature EVERY Pokemon of that area, including regionals. Long-distance trading would basically give everyone a full Pokedex very quickly. There'd be little reason to play.
6:46 Actually that was just a cooldown not a ban. Depends on how far from your last location is, the cooldown can reach up to 2 hours. The trigger is that you spin a pokestop or catch a pokemon. Since you catch a pokemon from far away at that moment, the cooldown trigger until it catches up to your recent location.
Banning people for having a friend log into their account elsewhere seems really unfair. If you’re going to have regionals that only exist in certain countries, it should be expected that people would want to share with someone they know that’s there.
I agree + there's people who may know someone who lives in a different country or state who they don't see very often so they share accounts to catch regionals or to trade.
I was definitely temp banned before just because i was driving cross country and pokemon shadow ban me for fast travel. and then lied to me when I confronted them about it.
i’ll be honest, starting back in 2017, i started spoofing after i learned how from a youtuber who was known for it. i did it because i live in an unpopular area where it’s impossible to win legendary raids, and back then they didn’t have remote raid passes. i spoofed for about a year and i got plenty of legendaries from raids and i even Teleported to get a Mr. Mime. i will be forever grateful that i only got a 30 day account suspension and i was able to keep my account and everything on it, and i will never spoof again after that. It’s not worth it.
Around when PoGo first launched there was a neighborhood I would go to and it would cause my avatar to teleport. I didn’t know the area well and didn’t know what was actually happening. The third time I went to that neighborhood, I got a 7 day ban. I sent a message to Niantic and they didn’t respond until the 8th day. On top of that they replied like “You know what you did.”
@@STNJ_YTBro why would he tell the story if he’s lying 💀 he wouldn’t even need to lie about his ban. Also low cellular coverage areas cause your character to drift, and caused my friend to get banned. A quick email fixed the issue.
i've had something similar happen, but i was in a big city with my friend. we were just walking around catching pokemon, tuning into raids, and spinning stops. only issue was that our avatars would teleport sometimes, which we shrugged off as "our cell service was low in x area, so it teleported us where we had a better service". while that is partially true, niantic didn't really see it as that and temp banned us both for 7 days. support kind of said the same thing yours did, reply on day 8 and told us we knew what we did.
I can feel that i was traveling from new york to manhattan and when I logged in was at my previous location so I caught the pokemon and turned off the game. When I login back in I got 7-day ban just because my location changed instantly and I try to contact nintic but but they gave no response
y’all are lying bruh🤣 my character literally walks multiple kms by himself to the point where I could stay home and hatch eggs if the app is open. I’ve caught the Pokémon everywhere my guy decides to run and never have gotten banned bro. I could do a community day for 3 hours in my house and hatch about 3 eggs and get multiple shinies. Never been banned never will be. Not my fault I got shut internet
The thing is, you can 100% comply with the rules and still get banned - we've had ban waves that have mistakenly banned both iOS and Xiaomi devices specifically that Niantic have admitted were mistakes, and likely had many more errors from their systems that they've never admitted to. Doesn't inspire any confidence to sink time in to the game when you might just lose your account for no reason. And then, as you say, you find users who cheat for years..!
i love that 3rd party devices can get you banned too BUT they wont sell more of there own devices... this is like Nintendo going after emulators. If you sell it for a reasonable price people will just buy it from you because its easy but if you dont sell it someone else will.
Well Niantic has now themselves entered into the auto catching business with their Pokémon go plus + devices. It is able to auto catch using normal red pokeballs and spin stops, but on top of that it can also act like classic go plus when you want to use great or ultra balls. Other than that, there is going to be new unique sleepwear snorlax which is tied to the sleep track feature of the go plus+ device. Don't know how it works, that's just what their ad about it said. So technically it got a little bit more cray for Niantic to ban people because of auto catcher devices.
I worry a LOT about possible bans as I have an account for me and one for my son. Frequently when his device runs out of battery power I will simply log him in on my phone. Everytime I do this or go back to my account I cringe thinking a ban might be coming my way
I've been shadow-banned many times. My wife and I, and our daughter, play quite often when we go out. Parks, lunch, dinner, that kind of thing. Since I'm the one driving the majority of the time that means I will often see something while others are loading in the vehicle and maybe toss the ball or just hold it on the catch screen and then close my phone so I can focus on driving. So, so often do I find myself trying to catch pokemon afterwards and they all just run-away. Which is more frustrating that just a ban where at least I'd know and not waste stuff. Doesn't seem to happen as much anymore. I'm not sure if that's because they fixed it or because we just don't play as much as we used to. Frankly, this has a lot to do with why. Never cheated, never did GPS spoofing, none of that -- but I've probably been shadow banned dozens and dozens of times over the years. Sometimes I'll literally have no clue why, none at all. I did figure out the catching after moving thing but there's been many times where I just have no idea. Which it's funny if you think about it -- I probably spend $1-2k a year just on raid passes. Rather, I used to. Banning someone that spends that kind of money is just stupid. Clearly these are automated systems and extremely poorly designed ones. To me, it shows how little care Niantic has for their customers.
Counter point: NOT banning someone who is breaking the ToS purely because they spend money on a game is even less honest. I'm not saying that applies to you, but your point of ’banning someone who spends money on the game is stupid' ultimately is a moodt point. Whether they spend money or not, if they break the ToS then they should be banned or at least locked for a duration. Nit-picking who gets banned and who doesn't because someone pays isn't a good model.
Going through the same problem now and I am waiting for response I gave them all information that they requested tons of screenshots and I am still waiting this happened last Saturday. I did an update and I couldn’t get back into the app 😢😢 I’m so sad I can’t wait to play again I’m having withdrawal’s! NIANTIC PLEASE HELP IM BEGGING FOR HELP PLEASE HELP ME!!
That's why I don't like spending money on games--it transforms your relationship with the developers ...you go from being a fan that enjoys their artistry...to a customer that's entitled to a profitable investment
@@23Fists no one said businesses are required to be ethical ...at the end of the day, they use the most effective strategy towards maximizing profit ...sometimes that means marketing social responsibility and fairness ...sometimes it means providing extra perks to customers that spend more The relationship between Niantic and trainers is fundamentally adversarial, like any other business relationship. ...a neverending tug of war to covertly get more from the other side, when spending less at the end of the day, they're not your friend, they're your puppet master 😉
@@feral_shade right, because unethical business practices go over so well with the masses. Because people don't boycott companies they disagree with, right? Because fuck everyone and what the laws say, and the fact technology is progressing exponentially compared to legislature about said technology or implementation of said technology. But sure, just chalk it up to 'businesses can be shitty if they want.' in stead of discussing how it can be made better. That's such a better option. *NOTE: this comment is to be read with extreme sarcasm.*
A chunk of the bans seem to be a GPS hardware issue with gps refresh times on a lot of phones where they only confirm the location every so often and if the phone is asleep, off, or something that doesn't let it communicate such as airplane mode or some tunnels you have a delay until the next refresh after it loads. It's kind of funny that a smaller game like Orna doesn't penalize you for it, but larger companies do...
I remember when people were being kicked off UA-cam for talking about "3000 CP Pokemon" or whatever, because Google thought CP meant, er, something else.
@radpl35 it's a term that if you check on Google, it will probably put you on multiple Goverment lists. The term involves children, and I'll leave it at that.
Thanks, I just did, it's "Cerebral Palsy", some group of disorders, seems quite awful, but I don't understand why would youtube remove comments with it :o
They need to bring back the red slashes instead of banning users. If a Pokemon is suspected of being sniped or caught via account sharing, the Pokemon would have a red slash on it and couldn’t be used for any reason. I also heard red slashed Pokemon don’t give candy when they are transferred.
Dude the only people left in my city that even play still all have multiple accounts. Some well over a dozen each, it is regular for 1 person to take a gym themselves of one color, another of a different color and so on. You can't take over a single gym anywhere within 5 miles of downtown, where it's obviously the best spot to play, because they all control every gym. It sucks but if you play around here it is what it is. They all spoof as well, none of these people ever leave but will have every Pokémon from all over the world lol. It really makes the game absolutely no fun for anyone new to the game, it's killed it completely here. Any time anyone new tries to play they get bullied and just quit.
My account got terminated and I’m still fighting for it back, what happened was my google account was leaked in a massive account leak where hackers gained access to googled servers and as a result my Pokémon go account was hacked, the person who hacked me apparently began spoofing on my account and Niantic have only said I’ve engaged In activities against TOS, so wish me luck. Update: I’ve been informed by niantanic that apparently any inquiry into the case will be ignored so I’m kind of struggling with what to do
It's kinda insane that you can get banned for having Pokestop suggestions denied. Sure, there are probably people out there who spam suggestions for places that have no chance at becoming a Pokestop ("hey, this rock here should be a pokestop!"), but there are also people who get their submissions denied for no good reason. I've nominated several places that absolutely should be allowed to be Pokestops and have had them denied. Once I had to nominate the same place four times before it was accepted. Imagine being banned from PoGo just because some morons deny your Pokestop submissions because they are either too stupid to know what can become Pokestops or just want to mess with people. I also think it's kinda hate that there are so many grey zones, even if I do understand that Niantic have them to cover their backs in case of uncertainties.
@TheRaven This is not about pokestop submissions but nomination reviews. @MYSTIC7 and others, please just read what's in that message, it's about "reviewing the requests". Those messages are being sent when someone reviews the nominations incorrectly (not following the niantic guidelines), or to be more precise, when someone reviews nominations differently than majority, doesn't matter whether majority follows the guidelines or not. There's also a rumour that niantic sometimes puts a fake pokestop nomination when the decision of whether to accept it or refuse should be clear, and people get warnings/bans instantly if they do that one wrong. I once got that message too and got extremely angry and disappointed at niantic. Not only because I really tried reviewing pokestop nominations following the guidelines, but also because I felt it's not ok to punish us that way and also because they threatened to ban my pogo account. Like, come on, what the hell, if I'm reviewing nominations incorrectly, ban my wayfarer account, not my pogo account. Also of course no explanation about what did I do wrong (give examples or sth) cuz why bother.
You don't get banned for waypoint denials if you submit things to become them. Just follow the guidelines on the wayfarer website and you'll be fine. I've have 114 things denied and NEVER gotten an email saying im gonna lose my wayfarer access. Follow the directions on the website and don't submit inappropriate things and you'll be fine.
@@Allegingtuna Here's the thing. Sometimes when you submit appropriate things, they can still be denied. I've had perfectly fine (according to the guidelines) submissions denied several times and I am not the only one. One place I submitted was denied three times before finally being allowed. So it's not as easy as just following the rules and things will be fine. There's people who just go through submissions as fast as they can without actually looking at what's been submitted and deny for no reason. Now Wayfarer might have had some change in rules recently, so maybe it's not as bad anymore, but it's certainly not good. And IF you can, as is stated in the video, be banned for having too many failed submissions, then it is possible, even if it's unlikely, that you can be banned even if you're following the rules.
@@Kotten84 Like I said before, just follow the Wayfarer rules and you won't get banned. It's pretty simple. Look at the tweet the video is talking about where it says 20 of his stops were removed. Clearly, there is more going on here than simply "stops being denied can get you banned"
I got shadowbanned for trying to spin pokestops while my mom was driving. Some times I could spin them but once we were home I couldn't catch anything during many hours.
Old school hardcore grinder. Back in 2016 I found a great local spot that had 5 poke stops in one location accessible from a cafe with free wifi. With the managers consent my friends camped out the night and played until opening and continued into the day. We'd but coffees and food throughout the day. 5 poke stops with lures non-stop and incense running the whole time. I was speed catching essentially non-stop for 18hrs before I caught a 6hr soft ban. 10,000 pokemon catches a day seemed to have triggered it... 🤷🏻♂️
remember when the satellite drift was SUPER bad? I'd sometimes drift down to Seattle. from BC Canada. I spun the Space Needle stop once. Kept getting worried I'd get a ban cause I'd drift to so many random places. Once I was repeatedly drifting in and out of somewhere that was night when it was day for me lmao.
The worst thing you can do is give someone else the login info for your account. Once you do that the person can change the login info and steal your account.
One time, my GPS shat the bed and refused to leave one spot on the other side of the park. I don't personally spoof but I've seen it in person plenty of times, but it was exactly what it reminded me of. My guy was just standing next to a PokeStop in a cluster spawn of Mons and I just kept spinning the stop, laughing my head off lol! Was not banned, but I eventually restarted the game out of fear I would be 😆 Edit: I could freely spin the stop, get the items, and catch the Pokemon. I don't know what made me freeze there no matter how far away I got from the PokeStop, but it was the dumbest thing ever lol. My dude didn't even turn around when I moved my phone around; he just kept staring at the Stop.
I used to have a rooted tablet and had access to not only changing my gps location to anywhere but also a d-pad to move around in the area, never got banned for it though but this was a long time ago before things like eggs etc were added and my account went idle for several year before coming back to the game only last year
Nope no street credibility for that more like you lose street credibility for that and nobody who is real will rate you for being a cheater only fake trainers and fake 50s will.😂
i got soft banned before i knew what a soft ban was, it happened on community day where my cousin was driving me and other friends on the freeway to a park and i was catching on the passenger seat. the cooldown was short though, but I missed out on some time
Very recognisable. I got soft banned for several hours once when I came back from holiday and while still on the plane I logged on to PoGo. A Pokemon spawned and I caught it. Only after that I realised that the street map was still that of my holiday location. Little later it reset and because I caught another Pokemon immediately after, the game must have thought I was spoofing.
I have not personally been banned (yet) and I have 2 accounts on 2 different phones. But I have a friend who has been banned and hacked multiple times in the past 2 years and is done messing with niantic over his account. He has never spoofed and we can’t figure out why this keeps happening to him. He used to be my community day partner
I'm a former spoofer. Haven't done it in a few years. What they probably did was calculate the cool down times for spoofing. For example. If I decide to spoof to Indiana from NYC. So if I spin a poke stop/gym or catch a pokemon in NYC then spoof to Indiana... I can't catch or spin a stop due to a cool down period based on distance. In other words, the distance traveled from the last stop spun or pokemon caught correlates to how long until you can catch or spin again. I've been soft banned a lot. But I've caught my fair share of rares. Like Tropius. Now I can't do it. My old phone broke and the apps I used don't work anymore. So I just log in literally every day since I do long distance commutes to work and back.
The not catching and spinning can happen if you travel to fast, so waiting to catch a pokemon can confuse the game. I had it happen a few times on the bike, and when trying to spin in a train or car (not driving myself) it will also fail everything after a while above a speed thresehold. My old iPhone had my character sometimes freak out and running and even that did put me into can't catch modus some times. But with speeding the game also tends to just unload pokemons and stops
My account was terminated back in 2023, was compromised by an unauthorised user. I had cheated in the past, but wouldn’t risk my account again. But despite appealing for over a year, Niantic won’t help or listen at all.
I got banned while raiding in London back in 2017. We used the “Boris bikes” to make up time and raids with short timers, they thought we were teleporting because we would catch the raid boss, close the app and push hard to get to the next raid.
I'm not the biggest fan of spoofers who snipe gyms and can get hundos without even trying if you do any of these don't act suprised that you got banned
Over the years I have not seen them do much to enforce the multi-account clause, unless the player was making themselves really visible by using the accounts to harass other players, or they were being really vocal about it online or whatever and someone called them out. IMO that's the least offensive thing someone could do out of the discretions...like a LOT of people had (or still have) alt accounts to actually be able to do raids, get coins for gyms or whatever in remote areas with few to no players. Plus some folks have family members who used to play and got bored of it so they have access to those other accounts. Or any host of reasons really...it's still not weird to show up to a raid and have more than one person have 2-3 devices out. I really don't understand what's cheating about it? Yeah you technically have more chances to get rare pokemon, but you still have to spend the time/energy/money to run both at the same time to get to the point of actually having an advantage. And Pokemon can't be traded more than once, so no one can hoard rare stuff on one main account to re-trade to other players. I'm quite certain Niantic has the wording in there so they CAN enforce it if circumstances arise that are totally unusual, but otherwise more accounts means more chances to earn money so I assume that's why they don't actually ban people for that very often.
MEANWHILE, there's a loser in my neighborhood who cheats HEAVILY, Doesn't get banned. Runs 4 Mystic accounts for gym stacking, and 2 Instinct account for whatever reason. When me and my Gf would get off work at 3am, we would drive around and take gyms. We noticed these 4 people were ALWAYS with eachother. Then we actually seen him in the process of taking a gym. It was one lonely, mid 30s, wanna be gangster, white guy. Shortly after we found out he was also the two yellow accounts. When he WAITED for us one night and started following us around parking behind us whenever we parked. So the first 2 times he followed us we laughed it off like "what a weirdo loser" (we were delivering our own justice and knocking him out of every gym we seen him at instead of reporting him. That's why he was following us) I would lose him so he didn't know where we lived the first couple times. But the 3rd time I got pissed. I strung along for awhile then I started break checking him once he had been following us for 15 or 20 minutes. This set him off. He started laying on the horn following us at 3 in morning. When we would get to a stop sign or a red light he would get out of his car and try to run up to the driver side window. And I would just drive away. He then tried to run us off the road and block us in. My girlfriend got scared and called the police. Because I managed to speed around a roundabout and get his plate. When I did this he pulled over and tried to kick our car as we passed. He also GPS spoofs because he has region locked pokemon. We reported him after this to Niantic with the police report and all the evidence. He is still not banned. Dude basically flaunts that he's cheating but isn't banned. Yet the people mentioned in this video get banned for such small things. Thanks Niantic. Edit: there's even a TikTok of him following us beeping lol
I don't really understand PoGo on bans. I think spoofing should definetly get banned when they take down gyms constantly (other stuff I don't care that much). I mean, it's not fair, I have to sit down on a gym, take it down, and praying for no spoofer to take it down confortably from home miles away. Happened to me a while ago that even at 3 a.m I was literally fighting a spoofer (nobody was around, there's no way) for a gym. And the no spoofing players can't keep taking down gyms for ever, making getting 50 Pokecoins practically impossible. I actually use 2 accounts on my phone (my secondary always being on my tablet) and I use hotspot cuz sometimes it bugs and teleports me to a few streets away from my home (useful when I can't leave and there is an interesting event). I'm not doing anything wrong and I don't make any players experience worst, I don't use spoofing and I just enjoy the game with my 2 accounts to be able to raid more easily. Weird banning policies from Niantic. I hope I never get banned for that...
Yes but imagine your from a rural area with no gym, and a few bad poke stops which only spawns you stuff like only bad Pokémon. How can you not spoof? Wont you have the urge to just download ur so that you are able to get better Pokémon, and earn more pokecoins easily? Though i understand your point of view on sooofers.
@@nat_de_shawty1864 No. I'm not talking about rural areas. People that I'm talking about (where I am from) does this because they are lazy af and won't play legit because they fat af or smth. Literally my city has plenty of gyms but people take em down (or used to, I think some of them got banned) from home for no reason. I can understand the rural areas spoofing but not the exploiting and taking down 15 times in a row the same gym just because. For catching? Ok, I can understand it. For gyms? Fk off...
@@nat_de_shawty1864 this is basically what you’re saying: “so what if I don’t have the money for this $80,000 grand piano? I just saw someone else buying it, so that means that I should get to buy it as well, otherwise, it would be unfair!” Yeah, your logic makes no sense, homie.
This video clears up why that Shiny Weezing I encountered in my apartment fled when I tried to catch it.. I cried when it ran. Being a noob to the game,I didn't know moving too quickly in short spans triggers what appears to be speed lock even though I kept saying I'm the passenger in the vehicle!
PGSharp and any other 3rd client will get you banned. The safest method is spoofing via root methods where you use the original client. Polygon and Pokemod are the best options right now.
My co-worker was banned for a short time in Pokemon Go because she found a way to access locations in Europe without ever leaving the States. It allowed her to get Pansage and Pansear before last fall's Safari events gave us access.
I know a guy who has spoofed since 2018 and never once been banned and he also tells me he knows people who have been spoofing for the same amount of time with no ban so I honestly have no idea how they catch spoofers.
I don’t see anything wrong with spoofing at all. For rural players it’s almost a necessity. Whenever I’m able to get my hand on a jailbroken or rooted device. I unapologetically spoof. It’s not effecting anyone else. Especially since trades re-roll IVs
Accidental soft ban when they had the grass pokemon event. Glitch with when you either spin a pokestop or catch a pokemon at that stop when the stop is lured.
In theory it's not very likely that niantic will ban you for using multiple accounts if you use them on multiple devices, like how can they prove it's you on both devices. It's still cheating tho ofc. And well, not that easy to hide when you're streaming pokemon go on youtube or you got popular due to this, such info can be found out niantic that way ;D
As loads of remote groups shows u can freely use spoofing programs without getting banned. Niantic can easy take down the app but they dont do it, they just care 'bout us - normal players - spending money on their game
@@jaycart536 when I spoofed, I had a 7 day ban. So I didn’t spoof anymore. But three days later, out of nowhere, I got a 30day suspension even though I didn’t spoof :( and furthermore, I spent SOOOOO much on the game. It’s literally unfair.
well, i play simultaneasly on 3 accounts, with two devices. so i can solo raids with two accounts and trade pokemons between the accounts, if i get banned for this will be so unfair couse i still have to walk, grind and expend coins to do stuff, and i dont use any cheats or software
Yes it's going to be fair, because using multiple accounts is forbidden I believe due to various benefits you get by using multiple accounts, some you even mentioned.
I have spoofed, abused regional pricing, used multiple accounts, etc.,. and never even had a single temporary ban since my account was created on launch day. Funniest part is my account was created before Pokemon Go was even released in my region. Some people are just reckless and overdo it I think.
i was once banned for 3 days, because of GPS drift at mountain crest park here in Las Vegas, the park is decently north towards the mountains and is notorious for GPS drifting due to poor cell service to the point that it would prevent you from joining raids sometimes because you weren't close to the gym any more lol
It’s pretty simple to understand the third party software thing, anything that niantic didn’t make for Pokémon go is a third party software, it’s not unclear at all
Sorry I have a question that has nothing to do with this video but for the hoenn tour in Vegas do you need to buy the ticket to attend the event ? I live in Vegas and wanna go but don’t wanna pay for the ticket
I agree completely, but they should just SAY that's allowed. They don't need to admit it's because it makes them a ton of money, they just need to be straightforward that it's allowed
7:10 thats called soft ban, once you caught a Pokemon in a specific location and then travel/spoof to another city every pokemon will run away from you. The max wait time is 2hrs. Shadow ban is the black screen were it says you are banned for 7 days and get 0 spawns. A 30 days/perma ban will prevent you from getting acces to your account (you wont even get to see the loading screen lol)
What sucks is all the people who can't get around day to day but want to play. Spoofing is the only way to enjoy the game like myself I have scoliosis and it makes it so I can't walk for 10/15 minutes after I start walking I'm literally unable to walk after I have to lay down for hours just to have the pain go away for the most part. If they just implemented a joystick so it's easier for people with disabilities it would be so much easier and nicer to enjoy the game 😞
Unfortunately it's not a game designed well for people with disabilities. Even electric wheel chairs wouldn't be able to compete due to battery life and not everywhere is wheelchair friendly either. I'd suggest playing the main series games instead on the switch or 3DS. It's easier to complete the dex as well. Or keep spoofing but make a Home account to send Rare shinies to just in case 😂
for the "speed soft-ban" where all pokemon run away, I don't get why you still get the 25xp for flees. Wouldn't giving a total of 0xp for flees while under the speed softban make more sense if it's meant to be a punishment?
I was catching in the Colorado Springs airport, and started catching again once I landed in Vegas (1 hr flight) and got a week long ban. Niantic didn’t care when I tried to contact them for help. Just kept saying I needed to follow the terms of service. Never spoof no 3rd party apps 😒 was frustrating. Now I’m super careful.
@EeveeGamer if you get banned from the game you can't login, I have a friend that lost his account to spoofing he got 3 strikes and now he can't login.
I got shadow banned because I was driving too fast from the freeway going to the airport. I also just don't understand why Niantic can not make the players trade with each other global. I believe if you can trade, then people won't need to spoof. I sometimes have to spoof because they're is no raid or poke stops near by me.
I've been ban for 3rd party software. I was traveling 200mph. Spin every stop in an area, catch 23 pokemon cooldown then, delete low rank pokemon. It was great.
Omfg I wish I had friends in other countries to catch me variants 🥺 that's a good idea That's literally the point of Pokémon in action. They want you to 'connect'
@@Flizz0 Almost noone can. That's why the regionals are sometimes available on various events and unless the game dies at some point, I believe eventually all regionals will become available to get worldwide during some events or sth.
I've been spoofing since 2016 and only recently had my account suspended. I got it back 2 weeks ago but, will no longer be spoofing. For me personally, no spoofing means no more spending thousands of dollars. I'll do a bit a GBL every now and then but, unfortunately that's how far it goes.
That plane story happened to me, i was in LAX and was catching Pokémon, then we boarded our flight to Honolulu. I didnt let the catch animation finish and was banned for 48 hrs.
I've never gotten banned before, played for three years, and I've done accidental spoofing. Im usually in a Kroger or something and my character is like "Still fast as f- boi" She'll literally just teleport somewhere for like 2 seconds so I see the spawns, and then goes back to normal.
They wayfayer bans are ridiculous. I once nominated like ten stops one day, and every single one of them were denied in minutes. Usually this is a several months process. Made no effing sense to me.
Those who live in India will spoof As parents won't leave us out for 3-4hrs n we don't have much time Roads aren't safe here Less namesake pokestop even has gym if lucky get good raid otherwise ☠️☠️raids
I had the first strike once, didn’t know why. Thought it was a mistake. Guess what? A month later, I had the 30 day tempban, as my second strike. *This was in the middle of summer 2021, and I had bought the ticket.* Guess why? I never actually found out from them; it was because of a vaguely inappropriate pokemon name.
@@Plunybruh I named one of my pokemon “trade dis mf” and nobody gave two craps 😂 yet my friend named his shiny giratina “fluffy” and he gets a 1 day ban so he emailed a whole fucking paragraph to appeal the ban because how tf is the name “fluffy” even inappropriate and then the moderator just gives him a quick little im sorry and then gives him a 7 day ban
I've been spoofing on my main account since PoGo first released. Never been temp banned or suspended once. Just gotta be smart with the cooldowns, and you're good. And stick with either a rooted Android method or a Jailbroken iPhone method.
they get mad at spoofing but what about ppl who want to play and cant dedicate time or go to a place and sit cause life is super hectic and all they probably have time for is maybe 25 min before they go to sleep because you know life and it has issues and responsibilities not al of us can dedicate 8 to 10 a day or just a simple day to play POKEMON GO. So being mad at spoofing is like being mad at gaming in my opinion. is it wrong 100% I agree cause its considered cheating but just think about how many ppl want to play and they cant cause they have so many responsibilities they just cant afford the time or money to chill 5 hours and walk
I used to hate spoofing, back in 2017-2019 but I don't know, now less people are on, a pandemic came across our world, and had unable to walk during 2020-2021, like I get why people do it, and spoofing should be allowed tbh. I want to just do it for a pokestop down the road (Right now that hatch event is happening, and guess what? It's raining in my city and has been all week, and will til Saturday, so now I can't really play. Another reason that it should be fine). And who is getting hurt if I do it at a pokestop down the street? I dunno, I think it should be allowed for all these reasons (Niantic, some of us are still being caution as covid's still a thing)
I never even thought about having someone log into my account so I could get regionals. Kinda makes me wish I knew more people now. However I would miss the fun of knowing and having caught it for myself. I tried to use a GPS thing to spoof my location once for a day or two. But I was never able to spin any stops or even get ANYTHING to spawn in the wild.
It’s not quite cheating but it kind of is. So I have no sympathy. Each regional i caught…the first one usually has a story behind it. One was catching Volbeat when I loaded the app after getting a tour of the Bushmills distillery. 🤣
I have never meet someone that actually got banned for spoofing, if you are a normally intelligent human being and know about soft bans this will never happen as long as niantic doesnt add new features for it. I also dont get why spoofing is against TOS because there is no harm happening to anyone but their own pockets because people maybe dont have to buy items all the time when they want to play the game at a certain level. For me this is just rediculous how people can be mad at spoofers.
my gps freaks out sometimes and my avatar will tp due to bad cell connection and I'm always scared I'll get banned. I just try to not interact with anything when im teleported.
I got a player banned temp for harassing our local community gym. They'd harass home owners and wouldn't even let the home owners one minute in the gym. We had to eventually push niantic to ban them. There are many ways to exploit the game.
They only got soft bans because they didnt wait for the cool down timer to go away after teleporting to a different location and if spoofing is considered as cheating then the auto catch devices are considered as cheating as well
No, because the auto catch doesn’t fake your location. You still have to be close enough to them, even with the GO Plus or Poke Ball Plus, so it doesn’t fake location.
I once was banned 7 times, one time for one hour and so on to one week before perm ban. Then I wrote to Niantic( a long thing about I wouldn't cheat- spoofing (back from 2017-2019)again, NEVER. Then they unbanned me after 6 months! And I still had all my spoofed pokemons😊
I don't understand 5:50 What's wrong with that? Also does that mean I cant catch Pokémon in my car? I littery just went crazy catching Pokémon on my way to in-n-out every time I came to a stop and on my way home now I'm sitting bricks at home 😭😭😭
Imo spoofing is actually quite useful if say you live in a super rural area and there aren’t many pokestops if any or very little wild spawns and you don’t have access to a car or you can’t drive so it allows people who want to enjoy the game but can’t because of a terrible design by niantic making people who love in rural areas have very little fun.
my best (spoofing) friend once found a wild azelf and asked me if it was good. i absolutely screamed at him to catch it immeadiatly lol. Also, many spoofing apps and softwares include a timer to the theleportation that shows you how long you should wait until you can do something so you wont get detected as a spoofer
Actually thats not a soft bann, its a safeguard for spoofing so u dont go jumping and catching, so if u catched that pokemon u had back in a certain distance, u have to wait 2 hours in order to catch in another region or state or whatever, thats what happened when i was shundo hunting , once i found a shundo either i stay there and keep playing or wait to hours and continue
In the end of 2022 I stopped playing pogo for like 3 months. I forgot that i gave my password to my friend... And guess what? He logged on my account from his phone like 4 times a week (with spoofer). He caught some raid pokemons and then deleted them. After like 3 months I turned on pogo and the first thing I saw was 30 day ban. I tried to communicate with nantic and explained the problem. I told them that they can delete all pokedex logs candys etc... Im still waiting for them to respond.
Four steps to a quick ban (if it was like Niantic wants it): 1. Live in an area with close to no content 2. Wish to play the game 3. Add an offset to your location 4. Dare to actually play the game this way And of course, the problem is the spoofing, not the reason for it. 😉
To this day, I am not sure why copped a short ban. At that time I often drove around in the car raiding, catching Pokemon and hatching eggs...I changed to riding a bike now and again...no probems so far.
Fortunately, I’ve never been banned yet. Never spoofed or did any super illegal stuff but back in the early days when the xp grind was real I would double fist phones on the same account to evolve a ton of garbage with a lucky egg active. Hit level 40 just after Mareep CD.
I have 2 smartphones and i wanna log in my old account into my new smartphone. So should i delete the new account which i have in my new smartphone before logging in my old account??
what this has made me realize is that if they just enabled long distance trading, it would reduce quite a bit of term violation
Exactly as there are regionals that you will NEVER be able to get people will keep doing it
Exactly! Here's hoping that sometime we get remote trade passes or something
And if there’s a way to chat with your in game friends who you don’t know in person…
I don't think they consider it a problem, though. Regionals always end up being offered worldwide, and the regional events every February feature EVERY Pokemon of that area, including regionals. Long-distance trading would basically give everyone a full Pokedex very quickly. There'd be little reason to play.
@@nicolexie118 apparently that is what campfire is for though not sure if that is open to everyone yet
6:46 Actually that was just a cooldown not a ban.
Depends on how far from your last location is, the cooldown can reach up to 2 hours. The trigger is that you spin a pokestop or catch a pokemon. Since you catch a pokemon from far away at that moment, the cooldown trigger until it catches up to your recent location.
that happened to me once while using the daily incense and in a car going down the highway. lost a blissey because of it, very unhappy
I was about to comment that
Oh, right. That's good that it's only a cool down "ban" and not an actual ban/strike to my account
I have that a lot until I get the real strike banning for 7 days
The cooldown Will be longer IF You longer from the other person, cooldown in the same City are less then IF ut in a different country
Banning people for having a friend log into their account elsewhere seems really unfair. If you’re going to have regionals that only exist in certain countries, it should be expected that people would want to share with someone they know that’s there.
That’s what trading is for
I agree + there's people who may know someone who lives in a different country or state who they don't see very often so they share accounts to catch regionals or to trade.
@@cadmunn You need to be within 100m in order to trade with someone.
@@cadmunn well since they are regional the people must live in different countries which means no trading.
If it can give you an edge in the game then it is very fair. People act like regionals don’t come out here in there in events.
I was definitely temp banned before just because i was driving cross country and pokemon shadow ban me for fast travel. and then lied to me when I confronted them about it.
Scam
nah homie that doesn’t happen. If that was true, I’d be banned on many different accounts because of the amount of plane flights I’ve been on.
wink wink lol
dang, you too? i never confronted them though
There's no such thing shadow ban so stfu
i’ll be honest, starting back in 2017, i started spoofing after i learned how from a youtuber who was known for it. i did it because i live in an unpopular area where it’s impossible to win legendary raids, and back then they didn’t have remote raid passes. i spoofed for about a year and i got plenty of legendaries from raids and i even Teleported to get a Mr. Mime. i will be forever grateful that i only got a 30 day account suspension and i was able to keep my account and everything on it, and i will never spoof again after that. It’s not worth it.
I spoofed for 2 years and never got banned. Just respect cooldowns.
@@t-pizzle- what do you use? I want to do it too
Around when PoGo first launched there was a neighborhood I would go to and it would cause my avatar to teleport.

The best thing to do with all your Pokemon in Pokemon GO is to transfer them to Pokemon Home
i love that 3rd party devices can get you banned too BUT they wont sell more of there own devices... this is like Nintendo going after emulators. If you sell it for a reasonable price people will just buy it from you because its easy but if you dont sell it someone else will.

IF they Ban Auto Users, like 97 percent of all the Players Will Get Ban😅
Well Niantic has now themselves entered into the auto catching business with their Pokémon go plus + devices.
It is able to auto catch using normal red pokeballs and spin stops, but on top of that it can also act like classic go plus when you want to use great or ultra balls.
Other than that, there is going to be new unique sleepwear snorlax which is tied to the sleep track feature of the go plus+ device.
Don't know how it works, that's just what their ad about it said.
So technically it got a little bit more cray for Niantic to ban people because of auto catcher devices.
That "Mewtwo service" was absolutely a scam. Wow.

Best possible reasons to ban such people mentioned there.

i got soft banned before i knew what a soft ban was, it happened on community day where my cousin was driving me and other friends on the freeway to a park and i was catching on the passenger seat. the cooldown was short though, but I missed out on some time
Very recognisable.
My ban was a similar scenario. I never open the game when in flight anymore.
The pokemon games allowed world wide trades for christ sake. They try so hard to be pokemon but can't even get that part right.
There’s a huge spoofer in Pokémon go and idk how he hasn’t been banned which is crazy
So u don't have ur account now?
Nope. Haven’t got it back at all

My friend didn't get a notice, but got a shadow-ban (insta escape the balls, etc) because she took a flight from the east coast to the west coast.
That’s why I take the train
Where does he say you cant have multiple phones out playing on different accounts?
Honestly, if you're doing something with your Go account that makes you $10k in a week, it has got to be something bannable
So selling accounts are bad, but is buying them okay? 🤔
I just saw someone else buying it, so that means that I should get to buy it as well, otherwise, it would be unfair!”
Yeah, your logic makes no sense, homie.
Never been banned to my knowledge but if I try catching anything while driving it runs everytime
Cooldown
I have been banned for spoofing will doing Halloween raids last year(2022)that's why I quit and bought violet 1 month later
I'm convinced Niantic has some stake in PG sharp. I make them a fair amount of money from my raid passes and the raid invites I send to friends.
If they did they wouldn't be banning people on pgsharp. It would be nice if they left spoofers alone.
@@carter5548 I've been spoofing for like 6 years now still havent got banned. The spoofers that get banned are probably porting like crazy.
@@carter5548 You're joking right??
😂😂😂
PGSharp and any other 3rd client will get you banned. The safest method is spoofing via root methods where you use the original client. Polygon and Pokemod are the best options right now.
Honestly people should be happy for spoofers we fill up raids for people lol
My co-worker was banned for a short time in Pokemon Go because she found a way to access locations in Europe without ever leaving the States. It allowed her to get Pansage and Pansear before last fall's Safari events gave us access.
I got a temp ban for 5 hrs for catching a tapu lele from the other side of the world but my friend was there and he sent me the pass
What’s a rooted device?
Accidental soft ban when they had the grass pokemon event. Glitch with when you either spin a pokestop or catch a pokemon at that stop when the stop is lured.
Still wondering what happened to that guy who had the extreme setup with over 100 accounts/phones if he ever got banned or not lol
Spoofers spend the most amount of money by far.
Like it's not even close.
@@nat_de_shawty1864 what did you use to spoof? You must have been jumping about a lot to get that 7 day ban or something mad.
well, i play simultaneasly on 3 accounts, with two devices. so i can solo raids with two accounts and trade pokemons between the accounts, if i get banned for this will be so unfair couse i still have to walk, grind and expend coins to do stuff, and i dont use any cheats or software
It’s pretty simple to understand the third party software thing, anything that niantic didn’t make for Pokémon go is a third party software, it’s not unclear at all
went Australia played, came back
this travel happened two times in the same month and had me two bans and warned if done again will get permpa ban 😭
whaaaaat that is so stupid
Sorry I have a question that has nothing to do with this video but for the hoenn tour in Vegas do you need to buy the ticket to attend the event ? I live in Vegas and wanna go but don’t wanna pay for the ticket
They don’t slam pokeraid cause it’s a cash cow for them aha
I got a soft ban for doing a trade. The other time was a speed cap. I think the speed cap one needs to be fixed but the trading one I can understand.
A trade got you banned? I don't believe it.
I didn't get banned. I got a temp ban. It was only for a few hours.
@@goldfire3573what kind of trade that was? Did you bought pokemon on ebay? XD did they took away that pokemon from you?
I was catching in the Colorado Springs airport, and started catching again once I landed in Vegas (1 hr flight) and got a week long ban. Niantic didn’t care when I tried to contact them for help. Just kept saying I needed to follow the terms of service. Never spoof no 3rd party apps 😒 was frustrating. Now I’m super careful.
I’ve wondered for so long, what does “Shadow Banned” mean? Like, you can’t catch Shadow Pokémon?
No it means you can't catch any pokemon or spin any pokestops for i think it is between 6-24 hours 😂
@@arkangel6281 oof
Pretty sure it means you get banned from a game and they don't tell you
@EeveeGamer if you get banned from the game you can't login, I have a friend that lost his account to spoofing he got 3 strikes and now he can't login.
I got shadow banned because I was driving too fast from the freeway going to the airport. I also just don't understand why Niantic can not make the players trade with each other global. I believe if you can trade, then people won't need to spoof. I sometimes have to spoof because they're is no raid or poke stops near by me.
It’s called meeting people in the real world. Really, it ain’t hard. Plenty of VERY active Facebook groups out there
Mystic 7 the goat
Ye
I've been ban for 3rd party software. I was traveling 200mph. Spin every stop in an area, catch 23 pokemon cooldown then, delete low rank pokemon. It was great.
Omfg I wish I had friends in other countries to catch me variants 🥺 that's a good idea
That's literally the point of Pokémon in action. They want you to 'connect'
Yeah by going outside and traveling
@@silverdemon1530 not everyone can simply just do that
@@Flizz0 Almost noone can.
6:22 He says this and then pays for early-release pokemon like Go Fest mythical. Also that tittle is too scary for my taste
I've never gotten banned before, played for three years, and I've done accidental spoofing. Im usually in a Kroger or something and my character is like "Still fast as f- boi"
She'll literally just teleport somewhere for like 2 seconds so I see the spawns, and then goes back to normal.
They wayfayer bans are ridiculous. I once nominated like ten stops one day, and every single one of them were denied in minutes. Usually this is a several months process. Made no effing sense to me.
what if someone finds the info to your account and then they log in and you didn't even give the info to them and you get banned?
Those who live in India will spoof
As parents won't leave us out for 3-4hrs n we don't have much time
Roads aren't safe here
Less namesake pokestop even has gym if lucky get good raid otherwise ☠️☠️raids
I had the first strike once, didn’t know why. Thought it was a mistake. Guess what? A month later, I had the 30 day tempban, as my second strike. *This was in the middle of summer 2021, and I had bought the ticket.* Guess why? I never actually found out from them; it was because of a vaguely inappropriate pokemon name.
What was the name?
It seems like Niantic really wants to go out of business
I got banned because of this once. Last time I played pogo at home
I don't understand 5:50
What's wrong with that?
Also does that mean I cant catch Pokémon in my car? I littery just went crazy catching Pokémon on my way to in-n-out every time I came to a stop and on my way home now I'm sitting bricks at home 😭😭😭
The cooldown which is the"bans" last 2 hours when traveling large differences,
Imo spoofing is actually quite useful if say you live in a super rural area and there aren’t many pokestops if any or very little wild spawns and you don’t have access to a car or you can’t drive so it allows people who want to enjoy the game but can’t because of a terrible design by niantic making people who love in rural areas have very little fun.
my best (spoofing) friend once found a wild azelf and asked me if it was good. i absolutely screamed at him to catch it immeadiatly lol.
I don't know everything in the world. But one thing I do know is that last story. The guy definitely tried to altar his catch location 😂
Four steps to a quick ban (if it was like Niantic wants it):
1. Live in an area with close to no content
2. Wish to play the game
3. Add an offset to your location
4. Dare to actually play the game this way
And of course, the problem is the spoofing, not the reason for it. 😉
If i used the Samsung galaxy version of Pokemon go in a non Samsung Android phone so it would be fine?? Or will I get banned?
