Amazing tips as always, Daxi. As someone who used to be a serial raider, I would really emphasize that IVs for raids rarely matter. Because most of your legendary raids are going to need multiple people to take down, the likelihood that you're going to see much of a difference between a perfect IV pokemon and a pokemon of the same level they'd that's, say, a 10/10/10. There are some exceptions, specifically if you're limited to smaller raid groups or trying to do challenges (solos, duos), but it's pretty rare.
Great video! I agree with just about everything except when you were talking about leveling 2 decent charizard vs 1 excellent charizard. The reason I would recommend waiting is because this is considered a “lifelong” game. You’re going to have more chances for that really good charizard. I think patience and only leveling pokemon when you need to use them is a good strategy. About 3 days before new raid bosses come I’ll build my team and only then will I level up a pokemon if I’ll use it for those raids. Also, catching a good charmander, or a plethora of others, I’ll put in a “waiting on legacy move” tag and wait patiently to evolve it with that move when an event happens. Like you mentioned in the game I think patience rewards in this game.
"I have battled over 4000 rocket battles and ONLY have 3 shadow hundos", me looking at my account with 6600+ rocket battles and still 0 shadow hundos to date: "yea..... thats bad luck daxi, i guess"
Thank you for explaining the CMP (charge move priority). I once battled with a Golbat (PVP ranked #2) against another Golbat. We both used our shields but he went first and knocked out my Golbat. I was wondering about this and asked many people but they gave me irrelevant answers. Now I know to that having the best PVP IV’s isn’t the best, but I should look for a Pokémon with a higher attack stats that is still good for PVP (i.e. 98 PVP Golbat with attack 4).
Great video, also worth mentioning that any shadow pokemons are stronger than non-shadow (0/0/0 shadow is stronger than 15/15/15 pokemon), so investing in meta shadow pokemons is always good Edit: For raids! Shadow pokemons are stronger as raid attackers! (Not always true for PvP)
@@CraftingDiamondDPS is relative. If they’re glass, the 20% boost means nothing. Strong shadow is still dependent on their natural defense/Hp. There’s a general sense that shadow Pokémon are stronger. Depends on movesets, Raid boss attack, etc. shadows in PVP are heavily reliant on the Pokémon and how many attacks it can withstand. We discovered shadows are stronger some time ago and rode with it since then with no details. Depends what Pokémon, movesets, counters, raids or pvp, on and on to whether or not it’s viable. They’re not universally better. Stronger attack wise sure. But if I can get off a 3rd charge attack vs 2 before dying, that 20% buff isn’t helping.
If you’re just starting out and want to raid but are worried about wasting dust, try to build zero dust investment raid parties so you can save dust for long term investments. Catch level 30 or higher pokemon during events that have raid relevance and evolve them with candy only with no powering up so they can give you an immediate impact. When I was building my account, I’d build 2-3 meta relevant mons per event and 6-12 community day meta relevant mons that were caught at level 30 or higher with zero dust investment. It takes a lot of pressure off of making bad long term investments to have immediately competitive teams.
I play a lot of PVP , my personal recommendation when it comes to shadow Pokemon I always try to power up the ones with high attack because I plan to 1 . Use my shields because they are very glassy and also if I use a shadow it’s because I want to do a lot of damage fast so I want to make sure to get first attach priority in hopes to take it down or get a shield then I can decide to let it go or shield .

@@sachinsampath3304question did you get the wooloo from the max research or at the hot spot for particles? Cause I’ve been to them and suspect they wouldn’t appear till the second half of the event 😅
The best thing to take from this video is to not power up or evolve the 1st pokemon you find to use, since you might get a better one in the future, and shadow pokemon being a good alternative for turning it into a hundo and then use it. Like for instance I got a shadow sableye where if I purify it I get the hundo, and since you need pvp IV's for it's purified for to be good, I decided to use it for the mega, even though I already had a 98% I could have used (I'm still surprised I got that almost 1st try, and I though it might happen again when shadow carvanna came, I was wrong, I got a 98% XD). I made my goal of "if I want to use a mega, I want the hundo to be used", I basically just do that because of rescource management, like I have 3M stardust and can easily get some pokemons for megas, since I got enough candy, but I don't want to waste all the candy and such and then be stuck by garbage luck and get the hundo after (this is my main reason I don't mega a Rayquaza because I only have 2 meteorites, either I get a hundo or I don't mega evolve it, even though it's powerful).
^^This is correct. There was some event a ways back where the team leaders went missing (kidnapped? Idk) and were replaced by the team rocket leaders for a little bit. Don't think it's ever happened since.
