- What if the members of the Dream SMP like Technoblade, Dream or even Skeppy had superpowers? Imagine Technoblade having an army of zombie pigmen on the Dream SMP... Well, in this video, I coded custom origins like the ones on the Origins SMP for Dream SMP members like Technoblade, Skeppy, Dream, BadBoyHalo and more. There are even TWO SECRET ORIGINS at the end of the video (one of them is for Karl Jacobs) so make sure to stick around for that!

To use it, go to your .minecraft folder, navigate to "saves" and click on the folder of the world you wish to download it on. Place the zipped file in the "datapacks" folder and you should be good to go.
To install it on a multiplayer server, go into the server files and click on "world". Place the zipped file in the "datapacks" folder.
Then type /datapack enable "file/Dream SMP Origins Datapack V1" using the tab key to autocomplete the command in the Minecraft chat.
You MUST have the 1.16.5 version of the Origins Mod to be able to play this pack. There is no guarantee that this pack will work on the 1.17 version of the Origins Mod as I haven't tested it myself.

Idea:
Philza Origin (The Angel of Death Origin)
- permenant strength 3 and speed 3.
- permenant elytra wings.
- however you only get one life and need to eat more.
..strenght 3 can 1 shot a full prot 4 netherite if u use sharp 5 netherite axe ;-;
speed 3 is faster than a crossbow bolt getting shot
the permanent elytra should be nerfed a lot

@@avramk.5443 There's constant bell, parrot, and door sounds (the crows in the chat) and if you're fighting someone for more than 5 minutes, you get a lower strength buff (like str 1), because he's the "Angel of Death" and the enemy didn't die.

heres my thing about it
+Always has Strength, Speed and Resistance 1
+Always has an elytra
+Can use an ability to triple his status effects for 5 seconds (Cooldown: 60 seconds/1 minute)
+Upon killing somebody, they get effects like as if eating a gapple.
-The user becomes weak if they had not killed a mob or player within 10 minutes (Weakness 2, Slowness 1, takes 3x more fall damage) (However if had killed 50 mobs within 5 minutes, their main abilities cooldown gets lowered for 2.5 Minecraft days, 60 seconds - 30 seconds)
-Can't wear or use Netherite due to it being too heavy.
-Cannot hold a shield up-right.
-Swords do a lot more damage to them (Lets say an unenchanted Netherite Sword, which is 8 dmg, deals 11 dmg to Phil) due to being literal glass canons
-0.5 less hearts due to being a little fragile.

I tried to improve and balance the origins you kinda gave up on, let me know what you think
As far as I'm aware, all the abilities I've suggested are possible via the code
Time traveler/Karl [An upgrade to the groundwork you've already laid]
"A skilled magician who can affect the space-time presence of themselves or those around"
+ can stop time(primary ability button)
+ speed up(swiftness and Haste at any time with secondary key, 15 seconds, 20 second cooldown)
+ Slow down(Slowness and slow falling at any time with secondary key + crouch, 10 seconds, 15 second cooldown
(Speed and slow time operate under the same cooldown, if one is recharging so is the other)
- less hearts
- lots of debuffs in nether or end
Veteran/Vikkstar [A semi-parallel to pre 1.8 combat]
"A fighter from a distant past who is skilled at older techniques, but struggles to adapt to the more modern ones"
+ double combat speed
+ 1.5 Sword damage
+ can craft Notch apples
+ crouch while holding sword for resistance and weakness
- 0.5 axe damage
- Can't right click while holding shields or crossbows
- Can't wear netherite or elytra
- Can't left click while holding sweeping edge or netherite weapons
Gaurdian/Lazar [The Lazer idea with relation to an existing mob]
"Aquatic stone golems with strong vision and a destructive burning glare"
+ Lazar(a damage dealing beam with primary ability)
+ Water Breathing + better underwater vision
+ Stone skin(resistance, less than skeppy)
- Slowness on land(default speed in water)
- can only eat fish
- takes extra damage from impaling tridents
- gets withered when near conduits
Totem/FoolishG [The Totem idea, expanded with its illager origins]
"An illager-made being that can control life and death itself, this unfortunatly gives them a bad reputation"
+ Can Summon vexes by killing mobs(vexes don't attack Totem origin players unless aggravated)
+ can un-die when at full hunger
+ 4 blocks tall
- Can't trade with villagers, attacked by golems
- 0.75 Melee damage
Reindeer/Callahan [The Reindeer idea, also a parallel to puffy as you mentioned]
"A magical being resembling a sheep and horse, its horns are just for show"
+ Gallop(Launches you through the air)
+ Can shed Magic Dust(ghast tears, Phantom membranes, lapis or exp)
+ Can eat grass and snow
- Vegetarian
- 3 less hearts
Sonic/Connor [The sonic idea as you mentioned]
"A hedgehog lover who's been blessed with Lightning speeds"
+Walks at Sprinting speed, spritnts even faster
+Homing Attack(primary ability, Teleport to nearest mob/player and Summon Firework explosion)
+Can craft Armor out of emerald blocks(gold armor with quadrupled defense stats and default durability)
- Can't Swim, drowns faster, loses speed increase in water or rain
- 0.5 Melee damage and defense
Bomb/Hbomb94 [The bomb idea, and jump button explosions as you mentioned]
"A bomb who causes much harm to themselves and others, sometimes a burden, sometimes a blessing"
+ Increased Jump height
+ Summons a Firework when jumping
+ primary ability Kills user, Summons 3 charged creeper explosions
- Takes extra damage in fire
- can only eat gunpowder
(Used)God/George and Alyssa [Reminiscent of creative, and now fits into the lore with dreamxd]
"A mere mortal who has come face to face with a god and abused their kindness, Let's hope they know when to stop poking the bear"
+ has a reputation bar that drains via abilities and slowly recovers over time
+ Creative, takes big chunks of your reputation Bar each time(Summons a random item from one of nine different loot tables using primary ability button, the table you select from depends on which hotbar slot you are currently hovering over. Natural blocks, Decorative blocks, Redstone components, Minecarts and rails, Food, Weapons and tools, Enchanted books, Potions, other.)
+ Physique(upped Defensive, speed and jump, can be toggled on and off with secondary ability button, slowly empties reputation bar while active)
- Pacified(0.25 attacking and shooting damage, can't start fires or place lava)
- Really fast Exhaustion
- Curse(If rep bar hits 0 it stays there for about a minute before starting to fill, disables creative and physique for about a minute, summons ghasts and ravagers
Also I tried to make quackity's shape-shifter slightly easier to code, though still fairly complicated
+ primary key, activates shift state
(While in shift state you change to a predetermined abilities based on what you kill)
+ Secondary key, removes whatever transformation you're in, when not transformed you're basically just human
Farmland form(kill anything that drops meat and can breed, become you smaller, weaker and lose some hearts but get a speed and jump boost)
Barn Break form(kill a Ravager, Hoglin, or polar bear, smaller and lose many hearts, but faster and do slightly more damage)
Undead form(kill an undead mob, no need to breath or eat and is immune to poison and harming, but burns in the sun, slowed running and mining, and takes extra damage from wood or smite tools)
Arthropod form(kill an arthropod mob or slime, Climb walls, unaffected by cobwebs, poisons when punching, but is smaller, has less hearts, can't swim, Extra damage from Bane of arthropods)
Aqua form(kill any mob found in water or beaches, gains conduits power and water vision, suffocated on land)
Nether form(kill a nether mob, immune to fire, can see under lava, has soul speed 1, takes damage in water or cold biomes)
End form(kill and enderman, endermite or shulker, can teleport by throwing eggs, silk touch hands, takes damage in water, Can't see pumpkin wearing players)
Inhuman form(kill a Villager, illager, piglin or golem, deals more damage, has more health and speed, takes extra damage from Pickaxe, is slowed near ore blocks or gems/metals on the ground, Extra exhaustion)
Blast form(kill a creeper or ghast, can Summon a Firework when crouching with a cooldown and gets a slight boost via lightning, but weak to fire, 0.5 Melee damage and gets weakened and slowed when near cats)

Too mediocre, the buffs are just small, and the lack of meat is bad in the early game, and heavy armour is a necessity for casuals to fight the ender dragon, while extra hunger is really useful, it’s requirement for rain is very situational
@@salvidge2564 Avians are herbivores, Merling can't go out of water without rain, Elytrian can't wear heavy armor.
So far, the Origins SMP isn't looking to fight the Ender Dragon. Not all origins are gonna be super buffed too.
@@callabungar I was giving a more overall description of the Origin, along with the statements that I still keep of the buffs being too mediocre, unlike the Elytrians who get Elytra from the start, Merlings who are OP late game, and Endarians Pearls are useful throughout the entire game. All of these origins make up for their weaknesses, while Thorns is rarely useful unless they are in Player vs Player combat, and extra hunger bars in rain would only be useful in the early game, however the extra hunger is effectively nullified due to the lack of meat, which is one of the best/most consistent food, until golden carrots become a sustainable option

He never said he was the blood god either, but he did once says he often talks in ³rd person, like when he says "Technoblade never dies” so there is the off chance he might be the blood god himself.
I have a feeling that everyone sees it differently, but I look at it like this: Chat yells "Blood for the Blood God" to support Techno when he's in a fighting scenario. He is the Blood God, we are his worshippers.

Curiously, why does dream not have his iron weaknesses, I know you had to step in to code it, but couldn't you just copy some stuff over from the Diamond Golem with a few edits, or maybe it's not that easy and I'm just dumb
Doesn't work as intended, had to remove them. I'll figure out a way to add them back in if I make a part 2.
Honestly, the demon is probably my favorite. I'm a "Extremely OP with huge drawbacks" origin kind of guy. Examples would be stuff like the Vampire custom origin and the Parasite custom origin.
12:11 I also test my DataPacks in 1.16 and they work perfectly in 1.17, so that's okay. but DataPacks created in 1.17 can have problems in 1.16, like missing block/particle/atribute.

Idea for an origin. {The adaptor}
you are able to adapt to your environment though it takes time e.g after spending 30 seconds in water you get water breathing but cant breath air and the impaling enchant does more damge.
Disadvantages: if you've adapted to a cold environment you take more fire damage and vice versa, if your in combat for 30 seconds you get regen 2 but you are wayyyy more hungry.
if you've adapted to a cold environment and then immediately go to a hot one, untile you adapt you will take dammage.

i thought of something. Since Karl's character is forgetful, make it so that when he crafts, you can't use the green book, or something.
Definitely fix some of the origins for if multiple people download it and play with their friends blood god healer and demon is a little to op but blood god is way to op I would have it so their is a weakness which can kill those with blood god mode on

Hey you should make the firecaster origin weak to ice, snow, and cold biomes, seeing as there's constant fire aspect it would melt very fast and become clumps of ice and ice stiffened clothing very fast, not to mention the cold is a bad environment for fire.

Idea for origin: The Spider-Man origin!
You can use cool abilities such as, Spidey sense, web swinging, web shooting, venom power (shocks and absorbs energy from your enemies), and you can dodge attacks and fight back enemies.
The only downsides to this is, you only have 8 hearts, the venom power has a cooldown, and you can sometimes slip off your webs.
Random
origin (ranboo)
Pros:
- when you look a mob in the eyes it does half a heart every 10 seconds
- if you are getting attacked by mobs or players endermen in the nearby area have a 91% chance of helping you kill them
- endermen dont attack you and will sometimes drop enderpearls without you killing them (they leave them around you)
-has enderpearls but has a 5 second cooldown so RIP if you fall in water
- taller then a average character so you can roast your friends for being short
- always quietly plays fallen down in the background
Cons:
-hydrophobic every 3 seconds you take a heart of damage in water
- you only have 6 hearts
- pumpkins are invisible (so like anything pumpkin related. Ect: pumpkin pie, Jack o launturns and pumpkin seeds) ( this removes a source of food from the randoms diet)
- people who wear pumpkins on their head are invisible
-cant kill endermen
Also you dont take fall damage :)

The fallen angel/ aphmau
You are a fallen warrior who is reborn through reincarnation
Affects: you have a powerful healing effect and have elytra. You are a leader, and the mobs will listen. And from time to time, you can use an ability to give the impact of strength and regeneration when in battle.
Harmful effects: you have a lower health bar, and your impact of strength and regeneration are time-limited.
The golden warrior/ Skydoesminecraft
You used to be part of an empire, and you are part of the old ages.
Good effects: you have an affinity with gold. Golden tools and armor last longer. You can craft enchanted golden apples.
Harmful effects: squids are your enemy, and you can't eat anything from the sea.
The Sea goddess/ldshadowlady
You are a being of the sea. You know the way and the secrets inside it.
Affects: you can breathe underwater and sea creatures like you. Drowns and guardians don't harm you. And you swim faster.
Harmful effects: you can go to the surface, but you will die if you stay there too long. And you walk very slowly.

To “stop” time couldn’t you give all non players NoAI and NoGravity for players you could lock there rotation and give them max levitation so they don’t go up or down and keep teleporting them back to the location they were at when time stopped

Origin Ideas: Living Tank
Belonging to: GeorgeNotFound
Being a living tank gives you 3X the amount of hearts a normal player has, gives perma-strength and knockback, but you are stupidly slow, about as slow as a turtle in minecraft. And, if you put on armor, you become even slower.
Speed Demon
Belonging to: Dream
A true origin.
This can only activate whenever dream is at 1 HP, and makes the player gain full HP back, plus making the player do everything 3 times as fast, but only lasts for one minute. For some reason, yes, this includes regen.
Juggernaut
Custom Origin
The player spawns with a minigun, and 5X the normal amount of HP.
The only downside is you are RIDICULOUSLY heavy, and take much more fall damage.
The minigun does not have infinite ammo, but ammo crates can spawn around the map in order to be used for the minigun.
Someone turned the data pack into a mod, please support it so it can be used on non-premium server pages

What about an Antarctican. Positives: walks on ice like a boat, stronger in cold environments, can walk on top of powdered snow, can tame polar bears. Negatives: weak and slow in hot climates, after a bit of time in a hot environment starts burning slowly, has to eat beef or rabbit(only because that’s the only stuff with meat that drops leather).
I would love to see a manhunt with this mod.

For some reason the datapack doesn't work for me. I copied the zip file into my world datapacks folder in 1.16.5. Tried typing /reload in game chat and nothing works.

I think the reason the dream origin died in the first 1v1 is because it’s made more for getting out of situations then holding your ground in them
