The 2022 Volvo Car Scandinavian Mixed moves to a new home this season as Halmstad Golf Club plays host to the innovative event. Tournament hosts Henrik Stenson and Annika Sorenstam tee it up alongside defending champion Jonathan Caldwell and in-form Ladies European Tour stars Maja Stark and Linn Grant, but will it be a man or a woman lifting the trophy on Sunday? Home favourite Alex Noren is the highest-ranked male player in the field this week as he goes in search of DP World Tour win number 11. Four of those victories came in as many months in 2016 and since then he has claimed two Rolex Series wins at the 2017 BMW PGA Championship and 2018 Open de France. Swede Maja Stark only turned professional last season but to say her introduction to the paid ranks has been successful would be a dramatic understatement. A two-time winner on the LET last season, she added a third title at this year's Women's NSW Open and sits top of the Race to Costa del Sol, with five other top tens from her seven starts. It’s all to play for in Sweden!

love courses like this...with lots of trees, thicker rough and more hazards. All pro tournaments should be played on more difficult courses like this. So wonderful to see her playing again...my all time favorite golfer!

I started playing golf in 1995. I modelled my game on Annika Söremstan and Karrie Webb. The best advice I can give to a man is this: Play like a woman.

This is the dumbest event on the European tour. Do they tee off fr the same tees? No. Not the same tournament but they like to make it sound like it is. Fine if there was a women's champ and a men's champ but given the women play fr forward tees, this is not a tournament played on the same course so should NOT be competing for the same trophy and purse. What's the purpose of this anyway? What does it achieve? It doesn't prove that the women can compete against the men because they play a different course. So what is it? It's just stupid from where I sit.
Men can genetically drive the ball further. If they all played from the same tees then the men would have the unfair advantage. If you actually watch the rounds you'll see that they are all landing the ball around the same part of the fairway giving them the same distance into the green. It's literally just levelling the field.
And these ladies want equal pay as with the men? They need to play better first before they say their pay isn’t fair. The guys play a different sport than they do. Universes apart
It’s not about who is better, it’s about interest and market. Serena Williams is not a better tennis player than men, but she pulls in cash because there is interest and market. If there is No interest, there is No money.

@@Somefatdude lol. This is the volvo mixed, men and women play at the same time. Only thing different is the tee which simply levels the playing field. If all you like is guys firing bombs then stick to long drive. So many comments about these women on the tour when you struggle to break 90 on your muni. Get a life.
@@Spaxcore your comment is a classic ad hominem attack. Not that it matters, because it doesn’t, I’m a 70s to 80s shooter, not bad but not great. Back to the actual topic-the women are great players and would run circles around me from the same tee, no doubt, but this is a vastly inferior product to the men’s tour. I mean better male college golfers would beat these ladies easily if they played the same tees. Therefore, they don’t deserve equal pay. Equal pay requires equal work, and they aren’t even in the same galaxy as the male golfers.
