I realized when the head is inside it's actually more of a knee tap. When the head was outside on the single it will transition into what looks more like an actual double leg

In this takedown I'm initiating the attack with my outside arm. This naturally positions my head inside. On the high crotch I'd initiate with my inside arm first while reaching for his cross leg, which would automatically position my head outside of hip. With the high c you do put the head outside since your outside hand is free to defend the initial choke threat. For the move in this video the head must stay inside since your outside hand is busy carrying the weight of the attacked leg.

you can put your head on the outside. its called a high c in wrestling. the choke is there, but if you know how to defend it you're fine. Daniel Cormier, Cain velasquez and gsp use the high c/head outside single all the time

Hey Max, thanks for your comment. You are absolutely correct. This transition can be classified as a sort of a knee tap. Usually a knee tap you would hit either off an underhook or by posting on the the head but since we since we are attacking both legs here, we simply classified it a a variation to the double leg. Thanks for watching! Anytime you are in the area, come hit a roll. Cheers brother!
