?? As i remember, this war is an escalation of the annexation of crimea. Crimea belonged to Ukraine but because russians lived there and wanted to be part of russia it was annexed, Ukraine responded. If those russian civilians wanted to be part of russia then all they had to do was cross the border and not start a war.

So because our Defence Dept couldn't maintain them properly no-one else can despite the fact that they are still in operation in Europe. That Department needs investigating, this is not their first failure.
Here is one scenario if they did gifted them. The Ukrainians' most likely would get the damn choppers working as they should be and if that happened, it would reveal incompetence and accountability of maintaining our defence equipment and someone going to have lot of egg on their face , it just might be the underlaying question here and they will go to any lengths in hiding it .
You are likely right, the labour party is unscrupulous and an enemy of Australia. Everytime they get into power the economy takes a nose dive, interest rates go through the roof, and Australia's debt goes crazy leaving the liberals to clean up the mess when they get in only to have it wrecked again when labor gets in. I thought for a minute I was watching US politics. Firstly, Zelenskyy said that he doesn't want our flying trash. Secondly, many people need to do their research on Europe and Russia and how it evolved, especially Ukraine. Stability in Europe diminishing daily because of the political agendas of the various EU nations. As Australians we should not just go for a piggyback ride with the US. Join BRICS, and watch our economy skyrocket and the US go into panic mode as seeing their down under puppy grow up.

There needs to be kickbacks for our politicians to do something worthwhile. Giving people helicopters doesn’t help our politicians prosper.
They are going to scrap them anyway, if the Ukrainian government can get half of them airwhorthy then why scrap them? What a waste.
