- The shulkers are some of the oddest creatures in Minecraft. And, of course, they live in the strangest dimension... The End. But what's to say about them?
Surprisingly, quite a lot! Their abilities, their appearance, and their interactions with each other and the various powers in the Minecraft Universe all paint a very particular picture...

I’m happy to see more theorists that actually acknowledge Minecraft dungeons more than once
It's really cool how the Shulkers are both a part of the End's infrastructure and are the golems that defend said infrastructure. The levitation-based technology is cool, too.
amazing video!!!! i even learned things that i didn't even knew about Minecraft dungeons like the sturdy shulker armor
That was very informational and entertaining! Great work. I have a strong fascination to golems. Have you heard of the Sefer Yetzirah? One of the first texts to explain how to create your own golem. I was stunned to find out that the Shulker’s original concept was a golem
I have not heard of it! Could certainly be something to look into!
It'd be cool if you took a deep dive into the stronghold!
That is definitely something I could do in the future! I'll put it in my to-do list!
the swirly pattern is also on chiseled tuff, which is found in trial chambers
I was hoping she'd mention it my mind inmediately went there. Considering the breeze doesn't spawn naturally it could be that this civilization could harness elements for golems.
Different pattern, that one has the line trail off. It’s the symbol of the civilization (probably an illager tribe) that built the gale sanctum, and possibly the trial chambers
@@sboy2044shulker armour actually has a symbol that does look more identical to the trial chamber and sanctum symbol
@@marshalllee6376 I think it’s just that the rest of the symbol is covered by the belt and it’s meant to curl to the right
Very interesting!
Awesome video, thanks so much for not using foul language in your videos
Could you make a video talking about the voices of the void?
like why when something is under the void effect you hear whispers
Also weapons like *the starless night* and *call of the void* make mention of this
I could definitely do something like that! Lots of ideas for what I could do and what to cover!
Who do you think were the creators of the Shulkers, the End City and the Broken Citadel?
@@ned0619 I was actually thinking of making a video clarifying this!
More echoing void!!!
Very interesting
wait.. if all the end creatures are made of void then..do they have no mind to think? no will to break? no voice to cry suffering?
Oh, they do. For example, Jens stated on the official Minecraft channel that they really do not like the Ender Dragon. The sound that plays when you look at an enderman is described in the subtitles as "enderman cries out."
And according to the name of one of their sounds in Dungeons, specifically "teleport voice," their idle sounds ARE their voices. Voices! They can speak!
Even mentioning things other than endermen, the Heart of Ender is entirely sentient as well. They're a whole character in the Minecraft Dungeons novel with dialogue and goals and plans.
There's a lot more to this, however, but I'll save all that for later.
@@WitherKing001 The commentator was referencing Hollow Knight. "no mind to think, no will to break, no voice to cry suffering" is a quote significant to the game's lore.
I thought everyone knew that they were some sort of golem
Well there's a book that outright proves that some mobs aren't natural it shows the biology of the mobs wich with mechanical mobs look cool as heck
If you mean mobestiary, it's not canon for the lore.
ik it is unrelated, but i have always wondered why the end has reinforced deepslate, just lying there
It's actually not reinforced deepslate. It's actually just the same teal coloured material as the End portal lined with end stone in its corners!
@@WitherKing001what does it do then?
@@SalamandyHere It's just a pillar block, quite honestly. They're just decoration in-game.
@@WitherKing001 then could it have a link between the city and the citadel, maybe the people mimiced the design like with the squall golems
Probably a design coincidence
Thanks so much for making videos without foul language 🥹 it means a lot
