The lobster ravioli from Benito One was absolutely amazing and the owner James was very very nice. It was nice to feel welcomed in the city coming for my first time all the way from Texas I would definitely recommend to anybody who’s visiting NYC
Seems like great restaurants there in Little Italy. Food looks absolutely delicious and the atmosphere looks good. I wish all the businesses there the best and people like you continue to spotlight them.
Omg I loved everyone who showed up in this video. I'm moving back home after 15 years and am looking to cut out finding out the hard way what's changed, what's good etc. Thank you for the great recommendations and the wonderful entertainment! 💕💖💕
A restaurant where the owner takes personal interest and pride in the food coming out of the kitchen is instantly gonna be a BANGER. NYC owners take a pride in their food that I haven’t seen outside of Japan. They play no games!
Do you know that 90% of Italian American dishes are unknown in Italy and look weird for a native Italian? Here a little list: 1) the combination of chicken and pasta doesn't exist in Italy. 2) dishes as wedding soup, chicken parmigiana, spaghetti and meatballs are unknown/uncommon in Italy. 3) minestrone soup doesn't look red in Italy. 4) pepperoni pizza would mean pizza with sliced bell peppers in Italy (peperoni = bell peppers). 5) fettuccine Alfredo are an American dish, in Italy it would be "fettuccine al triplo burro". 6) garlic bread? What's that? 7) italian seasoning? What's that? 8) American "cassata cake" is different from the local " Sicilian cassata". 9) braciole are called in Central/Northern Italy "involtini". 10) " Manicotti" are called here "cannelloni". Greetings from Italy.🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹
It’s just names tho like garlic bread is basically the same as bread with spread on top you just don’t call it garlic bread 💀 and the pasta is just a different name but it’s made the same way just with more butter
American Italians are American. You want to laugh, go to the Olive Garden! Pure frozen cafeteria food disaster. Folks, you find better food in Italy at rest stops and service plazas on the side of highways (Autogrill) than at most "Italian" restaurants in New York.
Finally what I was waiting for! My grandpa & great-grandma were Italian and when I went to NY I regret so much the place I eat. The canelón I ordered, seemed like a cheap box meal from Walmart. So thank you! “This video is on my saved videos now” 🇮🇹
I went to little Italy when I was in NYC in August. I went to cafe Napoli and the canoli king restaurant and they really were the best canolis ever. I saw the owner there and everyone was calling him the king of little Italy.
I KNEW!!! YOU'D GET CANNOLI THERE! I have such a wonderful, vivid memory of me amd my mother drunkenly ending up in that restaurant after eating so much food at another restaurant that they wanted to send us home with cookies, but we ATE THEM THERE, and would've eaten the second box before even leaving but didn't want them to offer any more free food before leaving because we'd already eaten so much!! we were still hungry but wanted the cookies for the hotel room, and ended up getting the most amazing cannoli of my life at this place at maybe midnight in 5 degree weather after wandering out of that first restaurant for about half an hour. I always just remembered it as the cannoli place with the mirrors and chrome LMAO thank you for dredging up some lovely parts of my past
We’re coming to NY next month. We love Italian food, so this is perfect! I grew up in Brooklyn, but now live in Virginia. Bringing my family for a culture shock. Thanks for always having such informative videos! 😁
aw how wonderful!! hope you had a great time:) I'm going to NY this weekend for the first time! May I ask, where were your favorite restaurants/places you went to eat? Did you try any bagel or pizza places that were really good?? :)
Good job on the restaurant's, Food looks amazing, Ask Marco if he puts grated cheese on fish , lol I do , I liked your vlogs you did with Norma from Las Vegas
Hi, we arrive in NYC from the UK on 6/5/22 to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary and we love Italian food, which restaurant would you recommend. we are staying at the Hilton Midtown xx
Italian american cuisine is very interesting for Italians, we are a little scared to try it but I think I'll definetely try some of these spots when I'm staying in NYC this summer
My family and I visited Benito One. Food was great, service levels don’t expect anyone to be happy you’re there to spend your money. Owner James is there, but trust me he pays no mind to his patrons. Waiter will ask if you want tap or bottled water (easy upsell), fountain drinks served from the bar gun DO NOT come with free refills.
I’m heading back to NYC next month. I haven’t been there since the shutdown. Is everything open again? Please give me tips on where to go eat now based on what’s open. Please!
You don't say, "Saluut" when you eat. You say, "Buon appetito"; Sa-lu-te when you toast for good health/happiness as in, "cheers!"😁 And those foods are yummy!
Will you do a video about the best places for sunset 😁 I can finally visit this September after rebooking my trip twice due to covid!! Right now I have a reservation for top of the rock scheduled an hour before google says the sun sets, I hope that’s enough time!
I had attended several large group events there in the back room over the years. Service was impeccable - so were the platters of grated cheese they had on the table for the meal! I think I used a whole one myself!! 😋
Going to be in Manhattan for 24hrs late this month. Any rooftop places that offer the best of the Manhattan skyline or the sunset where you can also eat that won't break the bank? Not looking for pizza slice prices but I don't want to pay a hundred bucks a plate either
I know there’s not a whole lot to offer in Howard Beach Queens but would love to see you and Action Kid explore food options their. Take care Bill in Fort Wayne Indiana
I hit like button - have not seen video yet but I like all of them. I saw you on Instagram following Ariel Urbanist-you both run great channels. Maybe you could do a joint video in NYC once he is back-

Hi, love your videos. I'm planning on going to New York on November 2021. I'm going with my husband and my 13 months old son. I would love to go to a Broadway show because I've never gone to one of those before. So I have two questions: 1. Is it ok to take my toddler to the show 2. My husband doesn't speak english. Would that be a problem?
Lmao when Marco said that he was gonna go vegan after eating the bread….your face when he said that was like “yeah sure okay “ 😂😂😂😂😂 I really wish that I was Italian because I feel like, I would never go hungry…..Italians always have a way of making amazing and delicious food, even from the most simple ingredients.
I’m going to be staying at the Sheraton New York Times Square and I was wondering where the best restaurant for a rooftop is close to that? Thank you for helping me make a wonderful vacation
I like little Italy but it’s very American Italian, not authentic Italian. He owns it though and is basically saying it’s American. They put cheese on everything. I still really enjoy it though, it’s just different.

Good to see, that locals support Little Italy business.

got to love the Cannoli King guy ..great great voice. Love him. Than he goes from cannoli talk to wine talk. OMG, this guy is so lovable..
Some places there are very good. Definitely Ferrara's, DiPalo, Parisi. Benito one is great. Emilios Ballato is good. Pasta from Piemonte.

I just walked by little Italy today, my first time and saw that gentleman sitting by the front door at Benito one
