Nice run! I tried the same build previously and just couldn't seem to stay out of trouble and got sniped a few times and died really fast. Thanks for showing me how it's done!
There's so much character in this game and so little story that I know of. I love the thought of speedy being a daredevil and the glasses. More! Also, I wonder if there is any other weapon worth playing on speedy besides lance? It seems to kind of invalidated all of the other options, even though I really like the idea of playing him with a whole bunch of fists and doing a drive by on a group of aliens for a flurry of punches in their smug faces.
I consider myself the foremost expert on Brotato fanfiction and shall be sure to include future chapters in my coming videos. I think now, sticks are probably the strongest behind lances (they are just very strong in the current patch, and speedy is obviously a melee char). I've seen other guides suggest shurikens and I think that would be a reasonable approach as well.
There might be a different approach to using these (long) melee weapons. I have noticed that when your range bonus gets quite high then whole area/line between the weapon and the character is considered to be deadly, so in theory if we lower the attack speed to some ridiculous values then the attack animation and the kill line could be so long that you would just need to move left and right and everything would die. :-)
That is generally correct. If I am understanding your point correctly one thing to account for is that the weapons don't do damage (I believe) on the back end of the swing (when the weapon is returning to you) so you end up being vulnerable for awhile in-between attacks. Another thing to think about is the biggest source of damage past wave 14 is usually projectiles (both from enemies but notably bosses and elites) and you need a decent kill speed to burst down the elites and clear speed to keep the enemies at bay. That said the relationship between range/attack speed is constantly evolving with new updates, items and the game balance so it's something I continue to think about :)
@@SeanTIER i have to try it. To take a knife and range like 200, I want to see what is actually causing the damage. You know, after first few hours I though I'm done with the game but now when I see deeper in the mechanics it's quite fun :-)
