@effie924 regarding 4 yrs ago post: The Winchester Mystery House (Ultra Mansion) was built Primarily because a so called psychic advised her that as long as Sarah Winchester kept building the house, she would not 🚫 die. No public record of her being a Philanthropist, and she even installed primitive equipment to spy AKA eavesdrop on her staff. Nevertheless, she may have been a kind soul, despite her paranoia. Granted, I don't doubt she felt haunted by all the souls killed by her inherited Winchester rifle company.

What an eccentric woman she was but the loss of child and hubby had quite an impact on the rest of her life. Bless her heart. I could never go in this maze of a house - too claustrophobic!!! I hope this woman is resting in peace with her child & husband.

I remember learning about all the architectural marvels and oddities, and technological and agricultural advancements in this home. And it’s really cool that rooms are still being found. The picture of its original 7 stories is really remarkable and it really is amazing that even 4 stories survived the quake.

I made the tour with my parents back in 1955. In those days, you drove up and parked in the back yard by the carriage house. There were no regular tours if I recall and the entire cost for our family (4 people) was something like $20. One of the caretakers took us through the entire house. Amazing place.

O my, I just wrote about my experience in the early ‘50s. It was better then. They didn’t have all the safety rails. Much more spooky. I was about 14 or 15 then😻

Great video! I saw this house in 1971 and it is still my favorite of everything I've seen in my 68 years. I'm also a fan of guns so enjoyed the history of the Winchester rifle. The tour was over 2 miles long, and I was pretty tired after climbing all those "easy riser" stairs, but oh so worth it!

My daughter in law's great grandfather created some of the stainless windows in the house. He mainly worked in San Francisco but became part of it through his craft. Most beautiful. Been on a private tour into rooms now just being shown to the public. Truly an amazing artistic historical house.

This place is amazing. Ive seen many photos before but you have shown different ones and things in a way I have never seen them before. The woodwork and craftsmanship here is unreal. These workers were truly masters as everything was done by hand and their skills are shown here. Thanks Jordan this place is truly fantastic!!!

Thank u for taking as many photos as possible. I'd love to visit Sarah's house 1 day. My favorite hobby during my spare time, I surf the web for 3D walk through mansions, Victorian gothic houses, etc... I have about 47 places bookmarked. A big thanks to Matterport! I did come across a 3D walk through version of the Winchester house, but I had to subscribe & pay to walk through it, & that's why I just UA-camd the house & came across ur video. U did an excellent job photographing each detail & ur narration was well done! Thanks again for it!

Always wanted to see the Winchester House. I think a lot of people would choose this as a top place to visit. Such a beautiful place full of amazing details. The house on it’s own tells a story. Such a work of art. Love the technique you used to tour the interior. Feels like I’ve actually been there. This must of been a monumental task to edit and narrate. You’ve done such an awesome job. Thanks Jordan for your hard work and talent! Super Great vlog!

Great video! The window in the floor from 12:59 was actually meant to provide air conditioning to those areas of the house. Sarah designed it herself for that functional purpose since the air conditioning devices we use today obviously did not exist at the time. I learned this neat fact when I took a tour of the Winchester House a year ago or so, in case anyone is wondering :)

Wow, wow, wow!!!!! This was one of the best vlogs! I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed this trip with you and Breck and Jah. I have always been fascinated with this house and would never have had the opportunity to see it if not for you. Being disabled I could never have seen this amazing home so thank you for taking me along with you guys! The house is amazing and beautiful and interesting. The windows and the spider webs are amazing and the steps how they wind around and the doors that lead to nowhere are fabulous! How exciting to be able to see all the wonders this house has to offer. This was a special treat for me, so thank you so very much for taking me along! Very very special #999 for sure! Thank you again for this amazing trip.

NOTE: There’s a great book about her called “Captive of the Labyrinth” it shed a a lot of light about her and the awesome woman she was as well as debunks a lot of the stories about her. I am so glad to see that they now have all those lovely Tiffany windows out on display with lights behind them. They used to just have them all stacked together behind glass and no light could shine through them. They show you more of the house than they used to. They told us that no one knew where the original front door is because she has built on to the house so much. Great vlog. I've always loved this house. I didn't live too far from here and I could get discount tickets for it. So went there a lot when someone was in from out of town. I'm glad to see they show more than they used to. I think it's a great house and I hope Sarah is at rest now. Thanks for bringing us here. Safe travels and take care.

I love history especially when it involves amazingly beautiful architecture. I love ghost stories and Sarah Winchester sounded like a caring employer with an amazing eye for detail. Apparantly she despised foul language too (it made me chuckle with glee when I read this). Would love to spend the night in that house and wouldn't be scared one bit . I find comfort in the fact she still lives and roams in the house she took so much pride in and had so much love for. Thank you for this wonderful video 😘

WOW this was truly a treat.I heard of this house and thanks to you I got to see quite a bit.I personally couldn't live in a house like that because it's to much but to tour it is another thing. Thank you Jordan for another great vlog. I have been meaning to ask you this but where did you get your beaded bracelet from? Once again Jordan thank you.

I love the Winchester House, born in Monterey, CA gone since I was a kid. Live in N. Nevada and my husband who is from NV likes to go as much as possible. He loves Monterey too way more than I ever did fourth generation from that area.

My Dad took us in 1974. If I remember correctly there was no fence. We pulled up on the street. No furniture and just a lot of empty rooms. Looks like they've really improved the tour. I don't know if my husband and I would have been able to afford the tour for family of six. Thank you for posting this.

How cool of you to do this blog!! I remember multiple trips to northern cal as a kid (60’s/70’s!) always passing the signs to The Winchester House, we never stopped! Thank you!

I first learned about this house via a Hardy Boys book (many years ago) about a "similar" house, so neat to see in real life. Really enjoyed learning about all the amazing details. Glad you got to visit. Great photos, great narration, fun all around. Thanks for taking us along.

Yoooo i remember that episode (it was turned into a series, also Nancy drew had one too which I first of a house like this from one of the Nancy drew books)
If you're into retro stuff, the British avengers series has a episode called " the house that jack built " which was the first thing I thought of seeing this house.

She seems like such a unique and caring woman who apparently had no problem with thinking outside the box but I suspect that she was taken advantage of (which is infuriating) while mourning the deaths of her husband and child. On the other hand, it's also possible she went to such extremes in order to provide jobs for all those workers. Great video btw and thank you for all the pictures and your expert narration! Great job!!

One of my bucket list places too, thank you for sharing it! You'd think growing up in SoCal I'd have gotten there at some point but it just never happened. Now I have to travel there from S.E. Idaho, hopefully sooner than later lol
