@@leenel9385 it's the same that you have in ride 4, maybe some new exhausts for certain bikes, but essentialy the same. And the livery editor now have 2000 layers, in ride 4 just 1000.
For what its worth, I just came across a roadblock that I can't get past in career on PS5, it's the 3rd series, full throttle, group of races 15 which is a championship. The races require a sports racing model bike, which can't be fitted with the street tyres so none of the bikes I have or can buy are eligible as it says street tyres are required. There are 4 races in the championship, I managed to do 3 with the only available loan bike, which has slicks anyway, but I can't do the 4th as it says street tyres are required even though it let me do the first 3 races, the weather is clear on the 4th race too, street tyres are only usually required if the race is or turns wet, so I can't progress past it towards the career related trophies, nice.

wouldnt work because they clearly havent figured out of to properly simulate it. Ride only works because the game is holding your hand and you drive on race track. Open world would very quickly show the weaknesses of their approach

The riders body has huge affects on the handling of a bike. Like you can lean the bike and keep the body upright and vice versa, which of course is even necessary for fast corners. In a bike simulation you have 2 entities in the bike and the rider, and to get it even close to properly, both would have to be "simulated" or maybe you could say emulated. In a car, the driver is fixed, so its much easier to get "realistic" behaviour. I suppose you could say semi-arcade racers resemble realism, but bike games dont even do that, imo, especially open world versions like gta, because it is indeed difficult to make, but I believe there is a lot of room for improvement, though it starts with teh approach. None of the bike games do it though. They all build them the way bike sim/games have been done for ages.
How about the tracks layout? is it better now? I find the Ride 4 tracks layout is very different from another game like Forza, GT, or MotoGP. I find Ride games tracks are not accurate based on another game that relatively consistent when playing them.

Mortal Kombat do the same. Old game you bought and got 24 characters not you buy and there are day 1 dlc with characters. It is quite annoying, it never feels like you get the full game anymore.

That is definitely one part of it.
We need a game with TT physics & Rides variety of bikes & tracks. I play both & after playing ride 5 for the past week it is an entertaining game for sure, but it not only looks arcade on ps5, its physics are VERY arcade & the tracks have been smoothed out drastically for ease of play. Its so arcade that it negates the illusion of riding a bike & feels more like a NFS thing. If thats what you like then Ride 5 is definitely for you.

Another simulator with subpar rain graphics and immersion, developers need to give rain some love, that's basically 50% more track content and user experience for comparatively little effort

The physics are a huge let down in this one, instead of making it tighter and better, they made it a lot worse. Still reserving my final thoughts for when I actually get hands on with the game, but by the looks of it, they are terrible, wobbly mess. Been riding powerful bikes for years and they don't even remotely behave like that. Not to mention withdrawn bike models to be sold as DLC later down the line, I am simply disappointed as a bike nut and racing game enjoyer.
Ride 3 and 4 have way better physics in my opinion. And in ride 5 you have the tutorial to get used to thr physics but they give you one of the fastest bikes in the game. I really dont like how the bikes handle in ride 5. Its disappointing
@@krunkikrofna precisely, past games were better, not sure why they went for more arcady physics in R5, they are especially bad with fast bikes, it's like the gyro effect is only on the fron wheel while the back wheel dances and wiggles like crazy. It makes the ride feel ridiculous.

Without a doubt this is the worst bike game I ever played. 4 was so much more advanced it's insane. No leaning anymore just neutral analogue to do it, racers constant crashing into U so it's unplayable, braking is shite, cornering good but shite coz U can't turn without getting crashed into. They have completely destroyed playing In pov, I don't buy them to play in arcade mode like U are, I play properly In pov but can't in this game as they remove everything! No speed, gear or anything visible and can't even hear engine over other engines to know if U need to shift. Honestly the game is absolutely dog shit and I'm genuinely gutted as im gonna have to sell it and continue with 4
Braking is trashed in the game I come from MotoGP and this braking system is awful. I’m playing with everything turned off and still the braking is trash.
Kind of disappointed there is no ranked or anything its just races and money and thats it , you don't have to sweat to earn something like a higher rank with prize pools of money of bikes or anything , I get that this is more a laid back motorbike racing game but it just gets boring too quickly without any actual challenge other than the AI

Rims and TT are basically the same physics/handling, Ride 5 is definitely an improvement over Ride 4.

In terms of realistic physics, RiMS Racing is by far the best. A very realistic and true-to-life motorcycle sim.

I got good on ride4 and played the trial for 5 and found it instantly difficult to corner. Couldn't see any lean button which is strange...
