    If you're taking prenatal vitamins it may contribute to why your hair isn't shedding. There was a recent study that said the prenatals increase that pregnancy glow and has many great effects on hair (shinier, less shedding, softer). A con was that when women stop taking it suddenly after giving birth , there's withdrawal and increase acne and hair loss

    • @karthompson1280
      @karthompson1280 5 років тому +19

      I believe the hair growth and less shedding during pregnancy has to do with pregnancy related hormones particularly estrogen which keeps the hair in the anagen-growth phase for longer. After parturition, there is a drastic drop in these hormones which causes massive shedding

    Your hair looks amazing!!! My hair comes past my boobs too. Actually it's past my waist so I have been dreading adding my twist. I know I won't be able to cut them at all. 😩 But it's amazing how much our hair shrinks up. When we're taking those braids out thankfully our hair is much shorter from the shrinkage. But as soon as that water hits it.... BAM!!! Length!!!! 😂💚

    Hi uhh I got mine done yesterday and I really wanna take them out. I didn’t want them done in the first place. My cousin was peer pressuring me that she wanted to do them for me and she did. They look nice. But it’s really hurting my head and breaking my hair. I keep pulling on them every hour trying to make them kinda loose. I only did it cus she kinda wanted to experiment and wanted me to have them. My hair is very silky and curly so I don’t think my head is even the type to have these done. I told her I wanted to keep it in for at most a week and she got really mad with me? Even tho I bought the materials and it was her that wanted to do it for me to begin with. I sat there for 6 hours with all the pulling and stuff so yea I deserve to keep it in for more than 3 days but she wants me to keep it for a month. I can’t do that. Not go that long without washing my hair like normally. I’m typing this as I struggle to try to fall asleep with them hurting my head.

      It’s not weird. It just means that when your hair is not in braids it’s breaking off. You are not moisturized your hair properly.
