HOW DO I RESET THE TABLET?
Here are the step by step process to do a hard reset to the tablet.
1. Power off the tablet completely.
2. Then power back on the tablet, while the tablet is powering back up hold down the FN/function button on your keyboard while repeatedly pushing the F9 button on the keyboard until you see “Please wait” appear.
3. Release the FN/function button.
4. Wait a couple moments, then, select the “Troubleshoot” option then “Reset Your PC”.
5. You will then have two options, removing files or fully cleaning the drive (this will remove your personal files and apps from the tablet and restore all settings to their defaults). The RCA logo will then appear on the screen and “dots” circling. This process may take about 30min-1hr (depending on the amount of files/data/configuration/system setup) as the device is deleting, partitioning, and resetting to the factory set. It is normal for the tablet to power off and on a few times during this process, please do not interrupt. Once the process is done, the device will go back to factory settings and you can then personalize your tablet.
I'm trying your fix. I'm thinking, this way it's the bios doing this, so all drivers and services should be there when it's done. I had a virus, I had issues getting rid of it. When I did get rid of it, I had issues getting rid of the antivirus. Then system services and apps stopped working, so I wiped and reinstalled a new copy of win 10 to it. the new copy succeeded, but no wifi, touch response, rotation sensors, sound and probably others that I haven't found yet. I did the reinstall via USB but if this works I will definitely be thanking you if not this will be it

Hey, was having the same issue- forgot password and needed to do a hard reset. so I kept searching until I found it!
NOTE: When performing factory recovery, all previously purchased apps are stored under your Microsoft Account.
Make sure that the keyboard of the tablet is connected to the device.
Power on the tablet and while the RCA logo is on the screen, press Fn + F9 on the keyboard. You will then see a blue screen and from there, you can either do a factory recovery to the device or backup files, etc.
To do a factory recovery, you must choose Troubleshoot from the option menu and go from there.

I just followed your instructions and hopefully I'll get my keyboard back up and running. For some strange reason,it stopped working after I detached it to allow my grandkids to play games on my pc 🤪

RCA WINDOWS - I was able to access more recovery options by pressing and holding FN+F9 during startup while the RCA logo was on the screen. After a few seconds it said "Please Wait" and then the various recovery options became available. Hope this helps.

The W101 v2 I have doesn't have a reset button, and fn+f9 brings up the BIOS, same as del key.
It got as far as "Please Wait". It is now over a week with it.

Cambio V101 V2. Power on. When RCA logo appears press the round reset button while holding the up-volume key When the text "please wait" or "Preparing Automatic repair" appears release the up volume key. Use TAB and arrow keys to navigate.

Okay, so I'm on the login page, tried ctrl, alt, delete to at least create a new user and the menu itself does not pop up.. any other suggestions? I've tried all methods

@@baby110107 I think you hold volume up and power, when the rca logo appears let go of power. Should say please wait along with the loading circles
@@baby110107 alternate method is going to the power button on the bottom right of the screen, hold shift and hit reset. Should bring up a menu

i have been ask for user log in password. I have lost it. I can,t even goto window screen y0u have showed here and Ctrl+Alt+Del key is not pop up any task manager either. What do i do as i can only go up to log in and stuck there

need. Sometime during one of the auto updates the " Mouse/TouchPad " disappeared, I've tried adding "Mouse/TouchPad " as per the instructions, but my Cambio 10.1 is stuck in tablet mode, the keyboard/touch pad doesn't respond. How can I restore it?

Hi, my mom gave me her RCA cambio tablet, (model W101-CS), she can't remember the PW, I've tried doing the hard reset, but it won't finish, it gets up to about 34% and then says "we ran into a problem and won't be able to take you back to the previous version of Windows. Try resetting your PC instead of (Troubleshooting >Reset this PC) ...

Hardware reset instructions:
1) Power off tablet
2) Power up, and immediately hold the Function (Fn) + F9 keys together. You may need to tap the F9 key *while holding down* the Fn key
3) The reset screen appears. Follow the instructions as seen in the video

It seems everyone has issues with these; picked one up to see if I could fix the issues. I'll be following your video to see if I can fix this thing. Nothing works right, maybe one of those completely defective units. I'll see if I can return it to walmart or not if it fails.

Never had a problem with mine yet. I'm pretty happy all and all.
I just got one and I love it never have a problem with it except for the rotation to sometimes not respond correctly. Otherwise its fast and powerful I run full office and play games use my windows phone with it, Its better then my HP 17 inch touch screen laptop with a AMD 6. this thing just as fast and has 2/3 less memory. I did add a PNY pro SDHC 128gb card to expand storage and use that as default locations for documents, videos, photos, downloads etc. try to keep as much as 3gbfree space on c drive so the memory swap can work right youll have less hang ups etc. windows uses hard drive space for memory when the ram runs out. Its 1.5 times the installed ram so 2gb of ram in the tablet you need min of 3,5 GB hard drive space free. You can get a USB mini drive 6-8gb make sure its fast transfer rate and use that as readyboost only. They make these really short sticks and you can leave it plugged in all the time. Wish they would have added a extra usb 3.0 port just for this.
I have watched several videos and and not one of them has a tablet like my RCA one. Mine does not have a reset button entitled on the top. Mine does not have a volume button next to the power button. Mine does have a little hole on the top that is supposed to be the reset but upon using a PIN to try to perform that function that doesn't work either and it feels like there's not even anything in that hole it's just a hole.
Hi I mistakenly entered into my rca tablet and disable every thinks like keyboard, usb, screen touch. And reboot it , it's seem to be used less to me now

I was looking for a BIOS reset. If you can't get into Windows, and the reset button isn't working, there should be some sort of a PIN to completely wipe BIOS.

Hi got a delta pro 2 and i dont see the reset button it but its not charging when i put the charger on the charging light comes on a blue lcd light i leave it charging for 2 hrs and still no response

Hey do you know where i can get the video drivers for this or show what driver you have so i can find it. I formatted mine and had to reinstall windows 10 into it. I got all the other drivers, and found video drivers, but they crash all the time giving me BSOD if i use them (intel HD graphic) so i'm stuck with the microsoft Drivers which work ok, but when i lock the screen the back light stays on, and i can't changed the brightness.
Whenever you have an iOS device you can plug it in to iTunes if you can't do it from the device. Does it have the same kind of thing?

I tried reset my tablet but it doesn't work. I also tried using the up volume button to rest it but still doesn't work. It seems to hold a charge when I plug the adapter in but I notice it getting really hot but the screen isn't turning on. Could this mean there's something else wrong with it? What can I do? Thank you for your feedback. It seems you may have a defective unit. Mine also gets really hot sometimes. If you can I would suggest returning the device and picking something else up.

Hi. I cracked my screen and now only 1/2 of the screen works when I touch it. Should I do a reset or just get another screen?
The digitizer (thin layer bonded to inside of the glass, above the LCD, that registers touch) has been broken. You will need to replace the glass and digitizer, which typically come as a single unit. If the picture is still fine, the LCD itself will not need to be replaced. You will want to have it done professionally, but be careful it doesn't cost more than 100$, which you could just buy a new one with.

You could try charging it via the micro-usb port, instead of the normal port. If that works, then its either your charger or its port. No biggie, since you can use the micro usb port to charge just fine. Otherwise, take it to a professional and get a quote. Be careful,though, as a repair could end up costing just as much as buying a brand new one. You can get these tablets for 99$ now on amazon or from walmart.

What if the 'glitch' you're having is the fact that it won't allow you to go into 'settings'?
I can get to the settings screen, but when I touch one of the icons, it only flashes for a split second and returns to the main settings screen.
