An informative brief, Sarge. Would like to know more about Republic Intelligence. Specifically the parts that eventually became Imperial Intelligence Adjustments.
Even do the Republic starfighters corp where out numbered every time they had better tactics than the Volta droids. Bc what I've seen in the clone wars Volta droids always are every where, not even a bit organized but the starfighter corp with they tactics they dint out numbered but they out smarted them.
I gotta say I love these videos and they teach me so much about military stuff like rank and tactics. They even help me with my own works, like deciding what rank to make Vaughn in a Battle set before the Siege of Mandalore fanfiction, thus before he was promoted to Captain to replace Rex who was promoted to Commander.
I feel like the clones really need to come back but it's just not possible. The story has expounded without them. I remember when I was a kid I LOVED the clones. Them and anakin were my favorites
Just three directions: the non-clone groups that you briefly mentioned earlier, the CIS (both droids & non-droids, parodying what I first typed), and the the two following trilogies & other time periods (basically these last two are about WHEN, which makes it count as one; perfect three points!)…
I'm not sure if the Republic Military rank structure was similar to real world militaries, but when talking about chain of command, a Captain in ground based branches (Army, Marines) is a lower level officer while in sea/air based branches (Navy, Air Force) a Captain is a pretty high level officer.
I always thought Obi-Wan’s gauntlets were of clone origins and the rest of his armor and Anakin’s bear the beginning of the war and show we’re of clone origins.
I think it might be nice to be a clone in the Republic Navy, especially if you get assigned to somewhere in the deep Republic where the war never really reaches. You just get to make sure everything is running okay and maybe make friends with some non-clone officers
how in the world did the Republic Intelligence work? like "yes I am to be trusted on this side of the battle lines. please ignore my face being just like almost every enemy soldier's" maybe once or twice they could use the deserter/traitor cover story but seems like something they would catch onto real fast
I mean if I landed a job as Coruscant Guard, I wouldn’t mind being basically glorified police, beats having to face off against hundreds of thousands of droids.
If I had a choice, it would probably be special forces. Liking the idea of going behind enemy lines and cause as damage as possible with the intention of turning the tide. Also, they badass af.
Woulda thought the fighters corps and Navy being the MOST usually outgunned and heavily outnumbered woulda been the worst assignments and also the most dangerous save for a few the Spec Ops or Intel units depending on where, role and which units. With Commandos and Spec Forces having easiest times usually often away from the most brutal and heaviest fighting.
How effective would an army of force sensitives be? Would it even be possible to clone FS people like that on that scale? Would they follow Orders like the clone troops?
I think you can clone people with Force Sensitivity, but actually getting that Force Sensitivity in the clone is the hard part. Even Palpatine had trouble with it in both Disney and Legends
Republic Intelligence operates as the primary intelligence-gathering and covert operations agency for the Galactic Republic. They focus on Direction, Collection, Processing, exploitation, and Dissemination of information pinned against the Republic Senators, Chancellor, Republic High Command, and internal corruption within its ranks. They were not "Assassins".
For me, the navy and the starfighter core is the worst as the separatists usually had a better naval advantage over the republic as the venator does not have enough fire-power, which leads to an advantage over the starfighter core as the venators are needed for the starfighters and the starfighters being outnumbered and outgunned, would mean that the venators would not get the protection they needed. Anywhere space would be a hell hole for the clones and personally the G.A.R. would be the best, due to the majority of the droids being B1s and beacause the clones are better trained and they are able to adapt to their situation better.
You’ve explained sizes of troops like what four times that i know of? When are you going to learn that you need to have visual aids for such large quantities.
