I watch these sitting at my corporate desk job. Staring at white walls, computer screens, and white paper. Wondering why I’m suffering so much happiness for a good paycheck. THESE VIDEOS MAKE MY HEART SO HAPPY. I know it’s not all rainbows and sunshine living like this. But these videos provide me with an escape and inspire me to get back into nature more. Thank you for doing these! I wish so badly I could live like this too.

I wouldnt be surprised if some people arent using a drone for some shots. esp shots where you see him walking way off in the distance. just land the drone and you'll have a still shot.
@@liltaz1225 if you "just land the drone" you are going to have a lot of the foreground in the shot and you will never be able to frame it precisely. Much better to just let the drone hover in that case. But another con of a drone is it will never match the video quality of an actual camera.

Hey drew protip for breaking trail in fresh powder is chain up. Tire chains are cheap compared to time shovelling
Agreed. And def need to get some max tracks! Comes in handy in numerous conditions.
Chains help the most with ice besides breaking trail. Another idea is a kinetic rope instead of a tow strap. Agreed with the max tracks too. Were you aired down at all?
Actually no. Chain dig your rig in. Good pushing thru some stuff but even more stuck when you high center your truck.
Second that- I have AWD, but won’t hesitate to throw on the chains. Takes 5 minutes and keeps you out of trouble
Hello Drew, I have to say I haven't seen a immaculate vlog as yours. I saw your Mt hood video and I was like wow, after that I saw plenty of vidoes related to camping in winter but not even one is close to yours. Picture quality, content, drone shots, editing and most important your effort, I must say you are amazing, keep up the great work
i think i know why i like your videos Drew. i think it’s because when you’re camping you don’t say anything during the activities you were doing until you feel like you need too. you have perfect pacing, love the vids!

Poor Jeep had to be pulled out of the snow with a Tacoma? LOL
That tent on top of your jeep is sooooo sweet! Just inspired me to get one so I can go camping with my 4 yr old daughter.
Next time you have a fire in the snow make sure to lay out a platform of your wood and then put your firestarter and such on top to start it. This helps to keep the snow from melting and putting out your fire. Also when you cook with cast iron over the fire it works best if you can wait for those glowing embers of coals you showed at the end. Sit the skillet right on top of them. Get yourself a cast iron lid to put on top your skillet to keep ash out and keep the heat more even. It's easier to burn the food on the bottom of the pan when you cook directly over flames. It's very hard to get consistent heat when cooking over the flames so closely like that. Just some tips for you if you want them.

Also having lockers helps a lot in getting max traction. I saw one of your front wheel spinning while the other was not moving.

Always better to put wood down first then build your fire on top. Starting a fire directly on wet ground or snow sucks up moisture and can soak the wood. In this case though, you had fire starters which make a huge difference but if you didn’t have them, this is a good tip.
This guy makes the cold look like the summer... while in Michigan 20 degree weather is freezing cold
Lol 30-40 degree weather is freezing cold for me here in Ca, Sacramento

Blueberry pancake tip-Use frozen blueberries. Add them to the pancake before you flip it over. I find it much easier to use frozen berries for camping, storing and save water, no need to wash them.
