    • @GodlordBazi
      @GodlordBazi 4 роки тому +17

@@AB-ln2py Well, actually weak demons aren't really a match for a Space Marine. There are plenty of books in which Astartes strike teams take down hundreds of demons and some marines even take down Greater Demons completely on their own, which is basically the worst and most powerful kind of them, hence Bjorn the Fell-Handed.
Also, the Yu'Vath didn't summon the demon. Though they are being as warp-corruped as it gets, they are no chaos whorshippers. It's more like when people were happy about the prosperity nuclear power brought them only to discover that the lightheaded use of it got them cancer and they desperatly tried to reverse that effect somehow, it's just that it was warp energy instead of nuclear power and warp corruption instead of cancer.
The reason why the inquisitor got possessed is because he had to tell the Astartes to pull back the strike team, which caused him to let down his guard, which happened at the same time when the other Yu'Vath sphere broke its shield in order to pull in the Space Marines. So basically, a (or multiple) demon present in the warp arround them saw two very bright souls flashing up and went in for the meal.

Nurgle is nature incarnate, Tzeentch is a force of progress and Khorne is one of justice. These aspects are not shown too frequently anymore but that is due to the overwhelming presence of violence, war, hopelessness, famine and betrayal present in the Galaxy as of late.
And if you had spent about five thousand years living and doing as you please and indulging yourself (building up a massive amount of self-importance), then suddenly found out that due to the efforts of your entire race, your soul was being stripped from you slowly, you would almost definitely do ANYTHING you could to prevent such a thing from occurring outright.
And the Drukhari, although decadent, are just a by-product of the Eldar race's degenerate past, birthing Slaanesh and forcing them into pursuing darker urges to prevent themselves from dying. Everyone creates the thing they dread it seems.

and just to let you guys know, the "Twins" are called Psykers and those two are LOW TIER in terms of power output and ability. and In part 5 the Inquisitor (dude in robes) gets corrupted by the warp (think dark side but worse), the response by the two Astartes when that happens is what you should do when that happens. a Psyker taken by the warp is bad news (they can make Hiroshima look like a firecracker).

    • @GodlordBazi

I wouldn't really call those two low tier. It took a whole Astartes strike force in order to kill them and they actually held their ground for quiet a while. A low tier psyker would rather be something like an astropath, who is able to communicate through the warp but not to cast actual shockwaves which knock multiple Space Marines across the room.
But yeah, compared to a real high tier psyker, those two are still nothing. I mean, Malcador would've been able to do stuff like that with his left ass cheek while taking a bath and reading a good book.

    For The God Emperor!
"In the Grimdarkness of the far future there is only war."
Also that's definitely not Mars considering the Sol system is pretty ridicoulously fortified.
Time to delve in the rabbit hole that is 40K. The Astartes are also genetically modified based on the Primarchs' DNA( 20 beings who are themselves created by the Emperor and based on his own DNA).
The blue gun the astartes use is a plasma pistol. Plasma guns are notoriously unreliable(can explode in your face any time you fire one especially if not well maintained).
Bolters are the guns the astartes shoot which essentially fire 75.cal explosive high velocity grenades. Though normal humans fire lower calibre bolters(still a lot of recoil) because astartes bolters can break normal human arms
Spine things on the psykers (gold guy)seem to be used to enhance/use their psychic abilities(they are psykers who are essentially wizards)
Lasguns(nicknamed flashlights due to their relatively low damage)
are the ones that fire red lasers(as pistols, rifles, and heavy rapid fire one in the video which is called a Multi-las,etc...) in contrast to the plasma guns they deal far less damage(can still blow off human limbs but do little to something like astartes armour) but are very reliable, robust and have no recoil(being an energy weapon). They can be made out of high grade metal in a high tech factory of a Forge World or wood by the peasants of a Feudal World. And are the main infantry weapon of the Imperial Guard/Astra Militarum(the normal human troops of the Imperium of Mankind).
Autoguns are the normal guns that fire bullets(8mm ones). They're even worse than lasguns as even standard guardsman flak vests(all or atleast most guardsmen have them) can easily shrug them off like nothing(afterall it is the 41st millenium).
The Heavy Stubber( as seen at 3:16 in the video) is essentially a 40K version of a normal Heavy Machinegun and are far better than autoguns and are even used by the Imperial Guard in heavy weapons teams along with their bigger cousin the Heavy Bolter(more Rate Of Fire!)
The guy that was kneeling in the ship with those white helmeted Astartes is an Inquistor or an agent/sanctioned psyker of the Inquisition(as can be seen by "I" on his clothing). The astartes killed him because he was posessed and posessed psykers can literally open a portal to the Warp(kinda like Hell but all emotions are manifested) which contains Daemons(literally) of Chaos.
Anyway the Inquisition hunt down Chaos corruption(Heretics),Xenos influence(Aliens backstabbed and took advantage of humanity's weakness 10K years ago when a massive civil war in the imperium was happening which involved Chaos) and rebels(also heretics). Oh and Inquistors basically have unlimited power(they only answer to other Inquisitors and the God Emperor who is literally half dead due to that civil war 10K years ago).
Oh and keep in mind that there are no good guys in 40K
TLDR: I'm a 40K nerd and a nerd in general. Also anybody correct me if I'm wrong on something.
Anyways please react to Astra Militarum/Imperial Guard by the Templin institute and Bricky's "All warhammer40K factions explained". For future 40K lore vids I recommend Arch Warhammer and Luetin09

"I thought that was their buddy?"
He was an inquisitor, a highly powerful agent who answers to the highest echelons of power in the Imperium. They can demand the services of any other agency in the Imperium, including space marines. This one was also a psyker.
They killed him because he was either getting possessed by whatever daemon was in that orb or his psyker abilities were running out of control. The ship becoming split down the middle would've been the best case result if that'd happened. Killing him like that is the bare minimum needed at that exact second to prevent that.
The two big guys going against the marines were psykers. Pretty mediocre ones at that.
Space marines themselves are technically human. They recruit the best killers and fighters from different worlds by age 14, usually. Then they put them through extremely rigorous training, implant them with 20 or so new organs and clad them in power armor. They are like the third best class of warriors in the Imperium with only the God-Emperor's sons and his personal guard being better. And still the uncounted chapters of 1000 Astartes each are not enough to turn the tide on the collective enemies of Man. They're armed with basically 10ga automatic shotguns launching rocket-assisted grenades.
The basic human soldier in this setting is armed with a lasrifle, a weapon that shoots laser beams that hit like a .50cal and are practically logistics-independent, and that's compared to a common flashlight when dealing with your usual xenos, heretic and daemon opponents. And in the grim darkness of the far future there is only war.
At the end they were pulled into the Warp, the extradimensional reflection of the emotional and psychic landscape of the universe, where the collective energies of all sentient beings form the ebb and flow of the dimension and where thought-forms and cancerous nightmares reside. The stronger the feeling, the stronger the thought-form. The four main gods of the setting are the embodiments of decay, violence, excess and scheming. That creature that pulled them in was a daemon bound to the orb. And it looked like it was attacked by either another daemon or a psyker.
When the astartes were kicked out of the Warp, the planet they arrived on could be anywhere in the Galaxy. At any time. The Warp is loosely connected to the flow of time, and even then it's inconsistent within the Warp. The Warp is used for interstellar travel and you have to spend a certain amount of time traveling or drifting through the currents of the Warp to get to your destination. Usually your exit could be several AU off and the exit bracket could vary by months of your estimated time of arrival. 2 weeks travel in the Warp is roughly 4 +/- 20 months in real space time difference.
If you want to see what happens when you travel through the Warp without protective tech, watch Event Horizon.
If the marines here were lucky, they just went to the planet they were orbiting. If not... They can go 50 days without resupply and can hibernate for decades or more.

Tyranids, (especially the Genestealer strain,) are heavily influenced by the Alien movie for example, while the design and concept of Space Marines was clearly the basis for characters like Master Chief/Spartan program. Hell, if I’m remembering correctly Starcraft was originally meant to be a 40k game.

"It is the 41st Millennium. For more than a hundred centuries The Emperor has sat immobile on the Golden Throne of Earth. He is the Master of Mankind by the will of the gods, and master of a million worlds by the might of his inexhaustible armies. He is a rotting carcass writhing invisibly with power from the Dark Age of Technology. He is the Carrion Lord of the Imperium for whom a thousand souls are sacrificed every day, so that he may never truly die.
Yet even in his deathless state, the Emperor continues his eternal vigilance. Mighty battlefleets cross the daemon-infested miasma of the Warp, the only route between distant stars, their way lit by the Astronomican, the psychic manifestation of the Emperor's will. Vast armies give battle in his name on uncounted worlds. Greatest amongst his soldiers are the Adeptus Astartes, the Space Marines, bio-engineered super-warriors. Their comrades in arms are legion: the Imperial Guard and countless planetary defence forces, the ever vigilant Inquisition and the tech-priests of the Adeptus Mechanicus to name only a few. But for all their multitudes, they are barely enough to hold off the ever-present threat from aliens, heretics, mutants - and worse.
To be a man in such times is to be one amongst untold billions. It is to live in the cruelest and most bloody regime imaginable. These are the tales of those times. Forget the power of technology and science, for so much has been forgotten, never to be re-learned. Forget the promise of progress and understanding, for in the grim dark future there is only war. There is no peace amongst the stars, only an eternity of carnage and slaughter, and the laughter of thirsting gods."

@@AuburnTigers111 well, come to think of it, there are no "good factions" in real life. There are good people, sure, but there is not a single country, company, church, etc that you can say "that organization is good". In that regard, I believe warhammer is actually surprisingly mature for a universe about super soldiers fighting space mages that risk bringing demon to their world when they do warp shenanigans while greenskins fight blue skins and space elves are a bunch of dicks to everyone around them. Also, most factions in 40K aren't strictly bad either, even though most sane people wouldn't like to live under them. Take the Night Lords, for example, I certainly would not like to live in any of their worlds, but they do what they do to discourage people from commiting crimes (well, some of them), and, in theory, their methods actually work... as long as the cat is around, because as soon as it leaves, the mice go out.

To explain the story without dumping 50 hours of lore , The Astartes Unit here has been sent to retrieve the orb from a group of cult worshipers. The orb is a vessel that contains a powerful psykic being that has a connection with the second orb we see aboard the ship. The inquisitor (man with the tubes in his head) is attempting to make a connection with both orbs as to decipher what it is they’re communicating with each other (that’s why we see the Astartes put those rods into the orb. The inquisitor makes his connection and essentially the conversation between the orbs went like this “I have failed” “we have all failed brother, the Astartes defy our touch, you must return, break your seal” “we won’t survive” “YOU MUST, TAKE THEM.” Upon hearing this the inquisitor gives a warning to the commander saying “WITHDRAW THEM IMMEDIATELY!” In that split second when he left his guard down he was taken by the orb and was possessed but not before having a vision of a possible future seen through his connection the orb, the commander and his lieutenant realize he has been possessed and swiftly execute him as per their code. The orb the Astartes unit was attempting to capture then breaks its seal , grabs the Astartes and attempts a warp jump, however during this time you can see it is hit by a wave of black smoky energy which causes it to release the Astartes. A popular theory is that was the Inquistor using the last of his free will to intervene and save the Astartes. The Astartes sergeant awakes in the strange dimension and the rest of his squad slowly appears on the pillars in front of him. They are lost and know must fend for themselves in this strange place.

Well done. Another popular theory for the demise of the orb entity is that it was killed by a more powerful entity once it was vulnerable in the warp.

Some details for you guys if you are interested:
    1. There is a second Dead orb inside the same chamber as the Inquisitorial guy is in, cables hanging dead from it. Right side.
    2. Glass sound on the floor when they enter 02. Ice frost, probably due to warp energy bleedout.
    3. The skulls and spines around the giant gold guy. It's the same as the 2 psykers they faced outside 02.
    4. The orbs are remnant warp weaponry left by the Yu'vath empire from the 39th Millennium. (Check out 'Rouge Trader')
    5. Yu'vath was found during the Angevin Crusade in the Calyx Expanse M39.322, they are a warp corrupted xeno empire. Everything they is make constructed of a crystalline or ceramic material that resembles natural or fossilised bone. There is word around tho that they aint Yu'Vath by the creator but i've yet to see any proof of that claim.
    6. The patterns on the orbs is the same as the masks of the psykers from ep4.
    7. The 'sticks' they shove into the orbs is made by the Inqusition.
    8. The orb inside the Inqusitorial vessel is communicating with the orb on the ship the Astartes are on. there are 2 active orbs. the Inquisitorial agent notice this.
    9. Red top diagram measurement of something increase a lot when it goes active.
    10. 'Who is here?' 'I failed brother' 'We have all failed' 'The Astartes defy our touch' 'You must return' 'Break your seal' 'That's impossible, we'll never survive that' 'You must. Take the others.'
    11. Inqusitorial agent; 'RECALL THEM IMMEDIATELY!'
    12. Orb; At Last!. (Cables then spark and line goes into the agent). Starts speaking xeno i suspect.
    13. Orange backlight, most likely lava, the guys standing around is the same as the 2 they faced in ep4.
    14. Back on heretic ship, Sgt. turns his head to the side, most likely getting the recall order.
    15. Tentacle creature looks like Asura from indian mythology. The female head on top, symbol looks very similar to that's on the small green screen at 0.22 in the original video.
    16. Symbols on the orb appears on the sgt hard when its getting absorbed.
    17. Asura looking dude glows blue and Tentacles. You can see 'black' things 'swimming around in there? before one comes from below to eat/attack the blue guy. it breaks and the marines shatter.
    18. Blue tentacle looks like it goes into the marines, you can faintly see blue light in the sgt abdomen when he reappears.
    19. Red eye lens is dead, armour or helmet has lost power.
    20. Strange patterns appear in the marines spit and bile, i'ts clotted blood caused by warp.
    21. Giant Skeleton on thrones and such might be Yu'Vath versions of Titans, or its dead kings/emperors. or the original Yu'vath was that large.
    22. You can see the other Astartes appear on the other pillars around the area in their own 'teleportish' flashes, you see 3 of them clearly, 1st is to the right side outside panel, you barely see it.
    23. The giant skeletons on the thrones, from the back of their skulls go our spine looking things that looks like what they guys in ep4 had.
    24. 1st marine after video, creators chapter, 'Retributors'. 2nd marine is 'Angel Sanguine'. 3rd marine is 'Void Dragons', fanmade chapter by patrons. 4th marine is 'Deaths Hand', fanmade chapter by patrons.
    25. The weaponry that attack the hands of death marine is an Eldar shuriken carbine of some sort.
    26. That's a predator tank with anti infantry cannon.

When I show anyone else something cool like astartes, they usually watch the whole thing, maybe raising their eyebrows once or twice before discussing afterwards. But you look at any reaction video and I guarantee you the person in said video will see a gun cock or a person speak, reacting to it with so much jubilation that someone may as way have handed them the keys to paradise.
