It's funny to me that you show that unit tackling snow that's just over knee deep and others seem to have dismissed this unit showing it barely moving 3". Thanks for showing how using it correctly (and with some basic common sense), it seems this unit is capable enough for what it's for! Thanks!
Missed an obvious point there thank you. Model RY 40850. Had another 14” snowfall and it handled it well. It does take some pushing more than a single stage gas unit but still beats shovelling.
Do you recommend running it for 5 minutes prior to using it? My unit bogs down as soon as I try to push 5 cm of light snow. I have the exact same model
If it’s new it’s a good idea. Also I have 3 of the 5ah batteries and I notice that one of them seems to bog more for some reason. (If you’ve ever opened one of these batteries they have a logic board inside which can fail in certain ways.) try keeping the battery topped up the first couple times using it too. Good luck!
I can see the struggle you have with the big snow fall, thats exactly how it is, after one session your trashed physically, horrible, underpowered, single stage does not cut it in this type of snow, light fluffy yes, anything more NO
I’ve gone through about 20 reviews on UA-cam to get the information you nicely provided here. Great job. Thank you.
Thank you

Appreciate the comment. If it was only made for 3” it would be a waste of money for sure!
Nice review, I love these battery units. I sold my gas one for and battery blower.

What model is that?

Still happy with the ease of use with the smaller lighter unit. I don’t live in the Rockies though…
