Boilers water can go directly into each other, the same for feeding the steam into the turbine, place each directly next to each other, no pipes needed, also it's a 1 to 1 for boiler to turbine
Power is simple like in Factorio, but here are low and high voltage power. Top line is what high power can support max, 2-nd from top is current usage, and low voltage power is only turned on when high voltage power is not enough. Smart design from developers. Basic Factorio design works here fine with boilers and turbines, except here is 1-1 not 1-2 ratio. So design is water pipe in middle, 1 boiler at each side, and 1 turbine next to each boiler. You can make long line like that, 10-40 boilers, depending on how much pumps you attach, not sure about pipe throughput. And don't forget about belting ore :)
You can set balancers to prioritize a lane for output/input by flicking the toggles on the top. That way you can actually set an overflow line vice a 50/50 split. Bet on how long it takes Z to look into ore refinement and realize he can get more plates then he's making? 32:57 You were only 'good' on power at the start of last episode, all your devices this episode were under strained, you just never looked at the panels. Transformers, that version anyways, can only handle 5MW per. Pumps, as far as I've gathered so far, are more flow valves that keep pipes moving one direction.
The turbine consumes as much steam as a boiler makes (which i find sad tbh, would have loved to see smth similar to factorio), The boiler is 5 blocks long and has the steam output on the long side, the turbine is 5 blocks wide and has the input on that side.... You could literally put boiler and turbine together with one pipe between them. Tho i have read that you can even leave the pipe out and put the turbine directly against the boiler and it'll work, too (same with chaining up boilers).
Hi Z1. I love your videos. Watch them all the time. I don’t know if anyone has told you but instead of running all the way to your research every time just hit the letter G. Hope to see more of your videos.
I found myself saying "right click" over and over watching this. I found out late myself, you can right click the pump to switch it from LVG to HVG and then you don't need platforms, you can just run a power line along the pipeline. But the pump for that distance probably isn't needed.
On your "c" craft menu, there are tabs. The tabs will show you all the stuff you can make, their ingredients, and what machine it takes. You don't have to guess.
Idk if you know this but your drone miners have specified holes they drop ore into so with you only having one output they have to wait to drop into that one when you could be using all 3 holes
So took me a bit to figure out but 1 pump will supply 20 boilers and so will a t2 ignium belt with 4 miners at the source also this is the highest power source so far
There’s gonna be a new recipe in the crusher to crush the iron, or the copper, ore and call or this used for powering things in the crusher That will increase production
You can't. You probably had rods still in the mini-smelters when you did. You can disassemble it and move it, but it's like a machine and just a device in your inventory.
looks to me that its time to retire the biomass burners, and the other thing too. cause then you can funnel alll the fuel to the water thing to convert it to steam and with the transformer making High Voltage to Low Voltage, you can run your current set up with just the steam generator
New games usually don't make discounts more than 10% in first couple months. But next month will be steam summer sale, so then it should have 20-30% discount. If you want 40-60% then wait couple years :)
He needs to farm games that people are most interested, and it also becomes boring for him if he plays one game all the time. When new update comes for astroneer, i am sure he will play again. Great, YT finally made reditt comment section.
I'm guessing its been a while since you played Factorio, steam / power is EXACTLY the same.. well except you aren't using coal. You can google Factorio steam power, click images to see how its done, your setup is painful to watch.
i watch this channel because he seems to find games i have never heard of that i will inevitably like but i dont think i have ever watched one to finish without yelling at my screen. you have got the be the most unobservant person i have ever seen. i get making a video you have to be entertaining as well as make content but come on. pay even a fraction of attention and i bet your gaming experience will be even better as well as the video we get to watch.
It is harder than it looks, brain have limited attention, he needs to learn new game, while thinking what to say to not have long not talking spaces, so people don't get bored with 5 sec attention span. With regurally played games it is easier. My even without talking i am slower at learning new games than him.
@@smeezer because i dont want to start a channel and im allowed to get mad about anything i want to get mad about its my god given right. the same way you seemed to have gotten mad about my comment. i was respectful in my comment (that he will never read) and its my opinion, dont like it? i dont care.
Just watched all 6 episodes, need more, thx. Great content.
1:39 'Oh! There's a crusher! What does that do?' Everyone watching is screaming at screen to use them.
Hope everyone is having a great day 👍if not I hope it gets better 👍

The research hotkey is G, you don't have to go to the server to select a new type of research
i thinik someone said that every video and he STILL has NOT used it... i don't think he reads comments..

You'll regret not investigating what the crusher does before setting up your new lines
thank you so much for posting soo often you cure my boredom instantaneously. do not stop this or planet crafter please.
Z1 Reads what's on the thing for the unreachable ore, then says "What do I need for that?..." - It just told you, you literally JUST read it!

He’s been told many, many, many times. Practically every video.
This game looks so good. The game play is chill. I am picking this up!!
With expectations like that you'll feel right at home in this game.

quick tip when using explosives: they clear a large simicubed space

you can break the drop pod down and get a bunch of resources like rods (I think 1600) when i done it
You can't. You probably had rods still in the mini-smelters when you did. You can disassemble it and move it, but it's like a machine and just a device in your inventory.

feel like u need to make a 'buss' like u do in factorio, and from the buss split off anything u need to then automate and put back into the buss
You can bridge the power whit the power cables
No more Manor Lords?
Can you do some more bee island.
