- What if Barian Dagger, Govarian. and Varihawk High Potential from "Psycho Armor Govarian" was in Super Robot Wars? An ability showcase.
"Psycho Armor Govarian" is a 26 episode sci-fi anime series. It was also followed by a manga version. The series largely follows the model of Super Robot anime, such as the heroic robots being being individually created and fighting through flashy special moves instead of more conventional weaponry, as well as the simple alien invasion premise where the heroes al. However, the setting of the series includes many aspects inspired by Gundam such as a world government military rendered inefficient from internal politics, O'Niell cylinder styled space colonies with anti-Earth sentiments, and mass-produced robots used by the villains.
Another distinctive element of the series is the widespread presence of psychic powers, used by all members' of the heroes' teams as well as the villains' pilots and commanders. These are used to create and repair mecha, to cause hallucinations to throw opponents into disarray, to predict future dangers and read minds, to teleport, as well as to protect individuals from physical harm and heal their wounds.
The series is set in a future where humanity is under attack from the dimension-travelling Garadain Empire. Although the International Defense Force quickly proves incapable of combatting Garadain's psychic weaponry, a scientist from the same extraterrestrial race as the Garadain assembles a team of psychic human children in order to fight back.
Go Nagai, the creator of the Mazinger franchise which inspired the 1970s Super Robot anime boom, is credited as the original creator of "Psycho Armor Govarian" and as the writer of the manga version. The Govarian is often remarked for its close resemblance to Mazinger Z and Great Mazinger, but it has no story connection with the series and otherwise is not substantially more similar to Mazinger than other Super Robot anime. However, Govarian has crossed over with Mazinger on occasion due to its shared connection to Go Nagai and Dynamic Productions, such as MODEROID's Armed Mazinkaiser Govarian model kit.
While Govarian is often seen wielding its Psycho Bazooka in promotional materials, the weapon is never used in the series itself. The animation of the Psycho Bazooka as used in this video is instead from its appearance in "Dynamic Super Robot Soushingeki!!", a series of animated shorts featuring a number of mecha associated with Dynamic Productions that was included as a bonus in releases of "Shin Getter Robo vs. Neo Getter Robo".

主題歌がかっこいいと思いました。
当時、小学生で見ていたけれどゴーバリアン以外のメカは全く覚えていませんでした😅

21世紀となった今のチビッ子達(幼稚園児とか小学生低学年)は既に目が肥えてるからこの作品を観ると、「グレンダイザーUの方が断然カッチョ良くて好きだね」って返答しそうw
この作品をガンプラに例えると、80年代前半に発売されていたプラモクオリティーで、近年のアニメ作品はHGやMGやPGやRGなレベルに相当するのでは？と。

たてかべさんは[タイガーマスク](69年)のミスター不動の声も担当してましたね。
当時からマジンガーのパチモン扱いだったが意外と面白かった。
原作は永井豪とダイナミックプロ(企画)で、『マジンガーZ』をアレンジで、2000年にダイナミック企画の創立25周年記念として制作された『ダイナミック スーパーロボット総進撃』にしれっと出てるwww
確かに、悪くはなかったな。
脚本はしっかりしてるんだよ。だから普通に面白いし見れる。
スタッフも、ガンダムに関わってた人とかいるからね。
当時はまだゼータガンダムもやってなかったしで、
ガンダムの時に書けなかったものをこのアニメで表現してみた的な。

ゴーバリアンはOP＆EDそしてBGMはカッコいい！！
あと、ナックに限らず当時は作画のバラツキがあるのはご愛嬌か。😮
突然ゴーバリアンの作画が良くなったり、かと思えば構図が崩れたり、波が激しいなw
クルトの声はウーロンの声優さんですね。
初めて見た時、何このマジンガーZをパクったデザインは！永井豪とか怒るんじゃないの！？
と思ったがしっかり公式で更に驚いた…
