    I picked mine up on sale for $58. Very well built and unbeatable value. I especially love the dual water bottle holders, one for my bottle, the other for my umbrella. I use it as my EDC to go to coworking spaces with my laptop with accessories and on the way back home, pack a basket full of groceries or shopping in it. If you are looking for a bag that can hold a large size laptop with the empty space of a smallish duffle bag and your budget is $100 or less, this is it.

    I got this for a international move to cope with the 10kg carry on limit. I had to pack 2 laptops, USB drives, and a lot of items with rechargeable batteries. And all the important papers in my life to not be lost. This thing packed it all in comfort, was easy to carry, and not a problem boarding with it. All around a great bag and a steal at this price. Going to get a rain cover to round it out for general around town pedestrian bag.
    Thanks for the video, it covered it well and allowed me to make a good decision to purchase it!

    I got this bag before Christmas and went away with it for a few weeks. It wasn't my only bag (I checked a suitcase), but it was carryon for flights and getting on and off a cruise. And considering I started the trip with everything I needed plus Christmas presents, it was pretty heavy (>9kg) at one point. I found it really comfortable and found the storage pockets just about perfect. I didn't want a bag with excessive pocket organisation. This had just enough easily accessible space for things like wallet, passport, Kindle, etc. Really happy with the purchase, as someone who will likely need it for just a few trips a year, either as a weekender by itself or an additional bag for longer bags where I'll check my suitcase.

    I had this for a brief moment but ended up returning it. It was no fault of the bag as I found it great, especially considering the price (it punches way above its price tag). I ended up deciding to get the new(ish) Tortuga travel backpack at 40L. I completely agree with you about the volume on this thing. I wasn't able to pack any more than I am able to in my older Tortuga Setout 35L backpack.
    With that said, I am shocked that this back is so inexpensive. Props to Tomtoc for all the great stuff they have been putting out recently. This bag really is great and it's a very comfortable carry (just wish it had load lifters). I think it easily sits in there with many of the $200-$300 travel bags.

But yea, I still kept this tomtoc for the wife ,and actually bought a few to give to friends....I got them when it was on holiday sale for like $60 which was highway robbery haha. Very confused about this comment, how can a $350 bag be comparable to this $80? Also, why is that Tortuga one so expensive (I think this is more of the issue in general is the extreme markup on so many products on the market these days.)

    • @EDG
      @EDG  3 місяці тому +1

      @@SD-ft6gsto me, it’s comparable in terms of function. In general for my videos , I try not to get hung up on specs, but rather ask the question …does it make a difference for the user. Like a tortuga for example, of course it has higher quality materials, but does it make the bag significantly lighter or magically carry more stuff? Probably No. And lifetime warranty’s will always play a factor in price. But budget bags are always fun because for many ppl, even the thought of spending over $100 for a bag is insane! With any product, there’s diminishing returns as price goes up, so I like to make ppl aware of that!

    And yet people really love the MATEIN Travel Laptop Backpack from Amazon. It has a 4.7/5 rating from over 94K reviews! And it's only $22. I prefer the YOREPEK Travel Backpack, Extra Large 50L. It's rugged, water resistant, has a USB port and is quite comfortable to carry through the airports. It has a 4.7 rating from over 44K reviews. I've used it on both oversea trips and local excursions; properly packed, it's good for 10 days. I did add a cross strap to it for my comfort, but others might not need it. And, it's only $28!

    This backpack would maybe last 1 year on my back before it self destructed. Those straps are not reinforced at all for one. Zipper looks cheap. This is in no way an every day carry. Maybe for a high scool kid who will find a way to destroy anything anyway.

      It’s possible, but any bag has the potential to fail depending on how tough you are with the bags. But I will say that even the cheap jansport backpacks back in high school lasted multiple years.
