The narration, the photos, the scenery, Brendan all phenomenal! You never disappoint, also thanks so much for sharing the settings and all the tips you so generously give us :)
Fantastic Brendan - I did a drive around the ring road in February this year. By strange coincidence I’m writing this from Alvor enjoying a great view of Lagos!
Could you have shot the pic of the penguin swimming like a dolphin in RAW format and gone back in and edited it to the way you like. Also is 200mm good enough or should I move up to 300mm or 400mm. Loved the video, trying to get tips for an upcoming trip there.
Correcting depth of field (blurred subjects) issues in RAW is not really feasible. You can sharpen and change the light settings but unless you have captured the sharp details of a subject, you cannot create them later. As for focal lens, watch every Antarctica video on UA-cam that you can to get a sense of what the experts recommend. I'm taking a 100-400 since you may be well offshore in a Zodiac taking shots of wildlife, but also a 24-70 for landscapes. Brendan was reminding us that the longer the lens, the less depth of field, this becomes especially important when you are close to a larger subject so you need to shoot with a smaller aperture. Good luck!
Awesome video! We are on the trip in December! Curious what camera bag you had and what you recommend for a camera strap for the trip too. So you say a 70-200 is good, what other lens would you recommend too! Appreciate your advice! Thanks in advance!
Hi! I actually don't use a camera strap. I lock my camera on to my Shinoda action x bag using a peak design clip. 70-200 will do the trick. I do prefer 100-400 for this trip though. It gives a bit more range
5:40 I don't know if it's just me, but I like to imagine what could possibly go wrong in some situations, for fun 😂 Camera: "I'm out! Bye Brendan... Weeee..." 🌊splash🌊 Brendan: 👺🤬
Beautiful scenery! I've enjoyed watching the videos! By the way what brand is your (grey) head, it looks really good and warm. Thanks in advance! Greetings from Amsterdam.
Your tip about shooting from at least the penguins' eye level works for all manner of wildlife, as well as children, pets, and even flowers. Fascinating video and set of images! Everyone loves Adèlie penguins, but there's something about the flat profile and squinty eyes of Chinstraps that makes me think they're up to something.
Epic video. Can't wait to join you in January 2023 in Antarctica! Third time lucky?!
The Antarctica series is epic!
Thanks! Glad you liked it :D
Thanks! You are so real, I just love all your vids. This scenery is spectacular❣️. Thanks for the views I’ll never see in real life
Epic video Brendan, loving the series, thanks for sharing.
I always enjoy the ride, Brendan!
Cheers! Thanks.
Magical, looks like I have another bucket list item!
Loved this second episode of this Antarctic series 🥰👌. Thanks B!
Very cool! A dream trip for me, wow!
I hope to one day join you in Antartica. Not really feasible from Guam, but maybe once we move out to the UK!
Some wonderful photos here! Those penguin photos are great.
Fantastic photos and b-roll, great job!

Great shots!!
First ozark drops and now you drop this Antarctica banger today? Guess I’ll take a break from the killing and drugs to watch some cute penguins
Oh man, can't wait to get into that season!
Awesome video Brendan! Some really great tips, thanks for sharing your experience with your followers
I always look forward to your vids
Brilliant stuff Brendan, absolutely enjoyed every second.
Wonderful Antarctica trip video, excellent photography and very useful detailed information congratulations 👌👌👌
Fantastic video as always, and thanks for the tips
Loved the pengiuns photos :-)
I just returned to the States after three days in Lisbon. I can see why you love your new home. Thanks for today's video.

The trip looks awesome but just one winning lottery ticket away for me. 👍🥂🐧
More great stuff!!!
Amazing shots man, keep up the great work.
Thanks for the tip on depth of field at longer lengths. It's been frustrating me lately not getting good focus. Your trip looked epic!
Lots of people are still scared with high iso. But I always say, what's worse: a bit of noise, or a photo being out of focus?
@@BrendanvanSon I agree. I finally raised my maximum ISO, and this week I started trying out f8. Now I'm going with f8 as the starting point.
Really amazing work and awesome photographs, Your videos are fantastic.
Another awesome video, B. Took me back to fun memories. Byeeee
Thanks byeeeeee

great images & video Brendan
Thank you Andy!
Hopefully will do one of these trips one day. Awesome video
Hope you can! It's special.

hahaha I wouldn't want to swim down there.
@@BrendanvanSon Maybe a friendly penguin would help 😂
On the other hand: BREAKING NEWS! A penguin in Antártica has been seen photographing a seal!
I would love a meal of seal there. Do they serve it on the menus?
I love these videos, your content is awesome. :D 🧡🧡
Thanks!

Honestly, no idea. I was given it as a gift from a brand, and it's branded by them. So I don't know who makes it, lol.
I would 100% love to do that trip - IF I didn't get seasick in a lake... I would spent the entire time over the edge feeding the sealife..
Banger bro💯
I want to.see some pictures of that ancient city found OVERTHERE BY CHILE EXPLORERS LONG AGO IN THE FORBIDEN AREA NOW
Hi Brendan, just wondering if you will be doing a trip to Iceland this year or early the next as a group tour? Thanks. :) P.S. Love your videos
Hi Joe! There is a trip in February 2023. Feel free to email me, or check my website for the details!
@@BrendanvanSon Thanks for that and I have emailed you back. Cheers
So for your group there were 9 participants and you, so 10 and on the zodiacs add a guide. So 11 of you on one zodiac?
Epicness? Shouldn’t that be epicity? 😉

I like that their heads look the same upside down as right side up
