We made the Longbow even better!
QOTD: What is the worst story boss in the Borderlands franchise?
Deadlift from TPS. He's way too tanky, way too mobile, and on top of that he even turns the floor to electricity.
the calypso twins, they fumbled every single step with them in my opinion and making them obnoxious influencers is the reason why my dialogue is usually muted in borderlands 3
It's a tie between Flyboy and Nakayama for me. You don't even do anything and they die...
I don't know if Handsome Jacks body double counts, but he always ends up downing me and running away so I can't find him 😂
Might be controversial but Handsome Jack. Literally one of the best villains in gaming, and you get to the end and he's a few clones and stands by a terminal most of the fight making crits a cakewalk. There should have been a little bit more to it I think.
QOTD: definitely the destroyer. I’ve run out of ammo fighting that bullet sponge far too many times, and you don’t even get anything for killing it until the remaster
Seems like a lot of people agree with that one
Wait, are the chests only there in the remaster?
@@SirHawkCaptainOfTheOrderOfScDi Yep. He doesn't even have a title card in the OG
@@yourgoodfriend276 He has a title card in the remaster??
Agreed didn't play bl1 till after 2.
QOTD: Tyreen from 3. On top of being a more boring bossfight than her brother somehow, she also makes for the most narratively disappointing boss in the entire series.
The whole game we have been warned that the thing in the great vault is capable of devouring entire stars and after it merges with her its like 20 feet tall.
The Warrior could have eaten Tyreen the destroyer for breakfast.
No new mechanics in boss fight. No barrel throwing, no sliding, no parkour, no slamming.
@@Artur_Stoll There is parkour, you knock her down and climb onto her back
@@zosimas5763 We can say that boss fight is on pause at "climbing stage". It just breaks temp of fight and is annoying that way.
You can skip cllimbing with a splash weapon
@@zosimas5763you don’t even need to jump on her back you can just end up hitting it without ever getting on her back.
Lilith from the krieg dlc, invincible for literally hours
Standing still watching her power up for half a minute
I can't quite express how much I enjoy that emote.
I farmed her so much with Moze. And ended up getting the best Blood Starved Beast in the Maurice machine
I played that dlc recently and she want even as hard as I remember. Haunts me though
Badassasaurus or Piston's Blimp. feel like everyone has to use a hiding spot to slowly kill that cheater
GOTD.
Master Gee... Absolute hell of a fight if you do it without singularities
Fighting worms and not the actual boss
QOTD: Any Borderlands 1 non dlc boss that isn't sledge. They have barely any buildup or reason for you killing them besides that "oh you were told to so you should go do it" Sledge at least has some buildup, people namedrop him, you go to his safe house, there's at least some sort of a thematic buildup to fighting him. But Krom, Rakk Hive and Baron Flynt have literally no buildup or tension at all to them lmao they're just dropped in
Agreed bro bl1 story makes my head hurt
I'd mildly disagree on Rakk Hive, since it's described as an insurmountable challenge. (I forget the exact phrasing.) Your statement has a lot of truthiness regardless.
@@ItsMrBozToYou rakk hive was cool, so was 9 toes, and roid psycho. early b1 was soo good and after skagzilla the game felt alot less special. most of the normal human boss fights in borderlands one don't feel very special and in the late game thats mostly all you get.
@@apblolol kind of reminds me of Dark Souls versus Dark souls 2. A majority of Dark Souls bosses are monstrous demons or dragons, with only a few true bipedal humanoids, which are all named and noteworthy badasses like Gwyn, Ornstein and Smough, and Artorias.
In contrast, DS2 is 80% knight dudes, and no matter how cool they are, it's hard to forget the other 27 knight dudes.
BL1 could probably have benefitted from some boss and enemy variety later on, since they already made a bunch of awesome special monstrous enemy types. Toss a badass alien guardian (with title card) at the end of the Eridian Promontory, or maybe a spiderant boss.
@@ItsMrBozToYou reminds me more of all the bosses in elden ring. aka boring as fuck. 118 bosses maybe like 3 good ones
Its crazy how new interesting mods still get released and the community never seems to run out of ideas
Voracidious, bugged health, really fast, deals ludicrous amount of damage. I have no idea what the devs were smoking
Evil Lilith. Has long immunity fazes. Im suprised you dont have to talk to her before fighting her lol
I love that, with this mod, you don't have to farm perfect gear. Just craft it yourself
Exactly
"Have to farm perfect gear" when is that ever needed?
@@noah9942. Op 10 raid bossing
@@tobis8829 genuinely not even then. Certain specific parts on certain items, like DP on your UH? Sure. But perfect parts? No.
@@noah9942. Thats also a very specific weapon thats not at all fun in the op levels but still is required for some builds, that weapon is way more powerful then many others were you NEED great parts. the DPUH itself is overpowered.
Joltz: "It's a fire quad as a Tediore"
Shotgun Supreme: "I'm a joke to you?"
This whole crafting mod could become a character idea for the next borderland games. It's an extremely unique idea. They probably should make it so crafted guns can only be used by the character. The character could be entirely reliant on crafting and guns for their builds and not on kill skills or stacking.
like warly in Don't Starve?
I doubt that Gearbox listens :/ Back then when Joltz was doing bl2 runs and it was quite clear what the community loved Gearbox showed with BL3 that they dont care for the community. BL2 seems to be very unique in the way its now a community game, full of mods.
The Jakobs Logan's Gun was beautiful
Are you going to craft a 94 sham? You just need many shams with the right parts.
Nah just kidding, that would be too boring ;)
5:02 Wilhelm tried grabbing his drop back
As a fellow content creator, just wanting to pass along some love. Great job as always! You have inspired me to go for the platinum for all borderlands games. Thank you for all you do.
After playing a bit myself, I noticed shotguns specifically seem more buggy, I tried at least 4 times to put a Jacob's grip and fire on my orphan maker to no avail :(
Staring at master Gee in an acid pool before i knew of door squish was peak entertainment for me such as the wonderful classic british film, Paint Drying 😐
Can’t wait to see if you can put the Badaboom barrel on a Vladof rocket so you can get the free shot while also having the multi projectiles
This guy Joltz has been a gift that keeps on giving. (Thanks for making videos ever since I was a kid)
This crafting mod is really appealing. Kudos for showcasing this!
This series has been awesome so far! Would love to see similar mods explored for bl1 or the pre sequel
QOTD: probably the gigamind from borderlands 3. Its super weak, comes out of nowhere(but in a bad way) and has very little significance + the drops also arent that exciting
Oh hell yes. i love this series. so far it looks super fun.
Yet again another series from you that pulls me back in to the bl2 grind
I love this mod because I feels like you go full bandit, scavenging every thing, making new guns. It was always my head cannon that bandit guns were just ripped up old ones
Fun fact, in BL3, the bandit guns literally are old gun pieces but scrapped and reused (a bl2 tongue barrel being used and repainted by the COV)
I don't know if it's been brought up yet, but man, I've loved the quick cuts/intros to the bosses and characters
That scoped longbow is actually sick, really cool!
I'd rly like to see joltz attempt to do op lvls with the best crafts he and his chat could come up with, love yr vids man keep going :)
Great mod! Might give it a try someday. I got an offtopic tho... Dont know if anyone discovered (found it last nigth on my own) that, but on the "This Just Mission", if you throw a singularity grenade like you usually do to pull the guy down instead taking the elevator up and kill himm you can THEN still take the elavator up, there is another NPC to be killed for the Bee shield. Make your save file read only before killing him and you got 2 NPC's to farm which shortens the farm for the shield. Already tested it and they both drop the Bee, in fact i had double drop while testing. Its an amazing glitch, hope that you show it in a video one day(my videos arent great quality...) Have fun farmin !
This mod is insane, Im not that big of an expert on parts, I just know a couple things about them, for some reason I was able to transfer a fire element on the bonus package and for some reason it transformed into a way better fireball with huge splash but without the multiple nades from the bonus package. This mod is hella fun and it seems amazing to play around with. Seems like something you can play for hundreds of hours and not get tired since you might change anything strong from certain weapons or items and salvage it into other weapons/items :)
Im excited to see you put an actual good prefix on the tattler I just know it’s gonna be insane
I can’t get over how cool that longbow looks omg
Explosive pimp is gonna be cool. Excited for it
Just wanted to say that because of you and killersix playtroughs, i've bought and started playing bl2 this week. I'm having a blast, still no idea what parts belong to which manufacturer so im just testing them as i go. Should have gotten it sooner.
Cheers mate.
this breathes new life to this game
This mod with sal would be insane. Youd spend more time crafting but youd be unstoppable.
this is such a cool mod it makes the game feel new it some weird way.
Qotd: Deadlift. Huge difficulty spike so early in the game. Made even worse if you didn't do the 1 mission for a shock weapon beforehand (or sold it).
QOTD: def the Destroyer. At the end of the day, it’s the only boss in the franchise I had no fun fighting.
Honorable mention to Jackenstein. Don’t even get to drain a health bar, you’re essentially shooting wheels on a car til they blow up.
Can't wait to see what this mod makes possible with the Badaboom or the Norfleet.
Watching the first and got invested finished the video and saw that this was posted thanks
If you farm enough pieces, could you make the perfect Sham?
You’ve become one of the only reasons I even open UA-cam anymore.
I LOVE this mod, combining a Thunderball fist with a Torge pistol makes the electric proc no matter what
Flanker and CC is about to an unreal combo
Today I watched Captainsparklez play Minecraft with guns and Joltz play Borderlands with crafting (and using the Longbow), very interesting.
The fact that i stayed awake until 3 in the morning to see tis video is insane
The hard part of this mod is you have to know so much about the parts the game has to really make the most of this mod. I would just be lost.
12:08
>all of my guns is fire, every one of them
>shoots corrosive next frame
the ability to swap elements at will
That quad completely reset upon the save quit, no matching grip or Hyperion stock
I can’t wait to get a PC to try crazy modded stuff like this!!
Including DLC story, I'd say Jackenstein is up there. At least after the story kill you get to watch Nakayama roll a nat 1 for going down the holoramp.
QOTD: The Rampager in BL3 is the worst. It has 2 immunity phases where you can't do anything at all except wait around while it moos like a space cow.
H3RL-E hands down he dies way too fast and does not drop anything. He should not be a boss at that point 😂. Keep up the work Joltz you have brought my love for this game even higher.
Master gee was the one for me, the pain and suffering we all probably went through, the years I will never get back.
QOTD: Mad Mel from BL1. A car fight where the game’s cars are not balanced to handle the action. You’re left running around after your car blows up after 5 seconds and will eventually just resort to cheese strats.
Id be interested in seeing a shreddifer/pearl storm sniper combo if Joltz ever got ahold of these two
That corrosive quad made me sad that it didn’t work 😓 I was excited to see it 🥺
Again love the idea behind the ultimate GUB
I can't wait for Joltz to start crafting class mods. I wonder what will happen and how the crafting process for that will go.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Jeez man. After seeing how it performs the name KERBLAGGA became infinitely more funny 🤣🤣🤣
QOTD: Honestly, it has to be the second boss you fight, Mouthpiece in bl3. The immune phases really dragged out the fight, especially on tvhm and story resets. I think other bosses in that game had similar issues but mouthpiece is the really the only boss that really comes to mind.
I always hated having to fight captain flint from borderlands 2 because the guns I had hit him like a wet noodle. Also I didn’t know u made ur own music. I might need to check it out.
skeleton kings in tina dlc come to mind but i havnt played all of every borderlands game.
but damn if i didnt slog away at those darn skeletons the first time... they gotta be responsible for at least half of my deaths on my first go at the dlc
QOTD: Definitely every BL3 boss that has forced phases in their fight. Like, I wanna be able to 3 or 4 shot a boss with my overpowered gear and they just say ¨nope, you gotta wait for this animation to end before you can hurt me again¨.
Qotd: Katagawa Ball. Sure it hits hard but a boss with TWO weaknesses is basically made to be melted. I actually got stuck on him for my very first playthrough and now I almost beat him by accident.
Not gonna lie, I'd like to see a loot randomizer allegiance run, you never know where the items are and you're locked to a specific manufacturer, would be an interesting playthrough
Captain flynt, the first time I ever played he was like a raid boss and it took me well over an hour
I’ve played bl2 a lot. This is on another level. Wow. I don’t know anything.
Qotd, mad mike because the dude shows up for half a second then dies, at least bad maw had his merry homies
The explosive storm sniper would an amazing craft
With some added restrictions like not being able to salvage bodies or barrels (and maybe elements too because that kinda removes the point of jakobs/torgue existing) I could see this being a base game feature
thinking about the maggi this whole bod is in a way, the lucky 7 from bl3. (my favorite gun/weapon in the franchise
Unfortunately i missed yesterday question on relation to thoughts about this mod, but i really hope there is something similar for BL1, since it could allow people to make more interesting hybrids that couldn't actually exist
I think this mod is the way they could make extremely rare items fun to farm for bl4 while making drop rates just as if not more rare then bl2. It would be extremely fun and I'm sure they could add a work bench for it with Markus in sanctuary for eridium to balance it a bit
For story boss i have to go with the flying boss that's name is letter vommit in the presequel. They NEVER land, annoying adds that get stronger if you ignore them, its outside so you constantly have to watch your oxygen. Its just a miserable fight.
Definitely Freddie. He sometimes bugs out and becomes level 1 making the kill pointless
Definitely loving seeing etech on stuff
Imagine if bl4 combined this with the Grinder from pre-sequel. You enter whatever that version of sanctuary to grind whatever part you wanted onto another gun costing Eridium. But to make it fair it has to be the same gun (red text gear only) non red text can be like the mod.
QOTD: What else but Badbuttasaurus. Bullet deflection, stupid attacks, really big it’s got the whole package all topped off with an ‘alright I guess’ Etech shotgun that only really works on Hellborn Kreig
QOTD: Likely a popular choice, But I'm going to have to go with Evil Lilith from Psycho Krieg and the Fantastic Fustercluck. Bosses with long immunity phases are just a pain to deal with. If we're going non DLC story boss's It would either be The destroyer from BL1 (don't need immunity phases if you can just sponge bullets) or the Raum-Kampfjet Mark V from Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel due to it being so far outside of the arena and all in all being a huge annoyance to deal with.
I wish there was a homing fastball, sounds really fun and broken. Maybe it is possible at some point
The airship from pre sequel is always a pain to fight
Joltz: has the power to craft any op gun to his hearts desire.
Also joltz: 𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙟𝙖𝙘𝙤𝙗𝙨
Hey Joltz, I don't know plans for it but I'd love if at the end of this playthough you just go crazy with the mod. Maybe brainstorm some gear ideas with chat and gibbed them in and show them off?
Probably a really great mod for vets like you since your knowledge of gun parts let’s you actually do this in a smart way lol
I was excited for the corrosive quad
intro: POV of salvaged items 🤣🤣
Can't wait for you to craft a perfect hide of terra
QOTD: Badassasaurus in Torgue dlc. If the game didn't let you hide behind that barrier thing, this boss would just not be doable for me.
oh lord, I hope you end up making a fire Peak Opener using a Toothpick.
Hey i hope this helps but whoever plays this mod remember you need to keep the barrel on to get the gun affects to work still say you want a maggiharrold.
QOTD: deadlift from pre-sequel. pre sequel was my first experience with a borderlands game so he wrecked me so quickly on every attempt with the electrified floors. i almost considered giving up with the game. even with more experience now, i still have a little trouble with him but I ALWAYS try and farm a grounded shield from a vendor if I can.
I play on console so modded guns are inevitable but one thing that the sanity check wouldnt delete is storm fronts, fire bees and pandemic grenade mods combined with the fastball and it did fastball dmg maybe try and craft that it worked with the quasar too
I can see this mod being implemented as a real feature in future games. You would pay eridium to change a part and it could be restricted hopefully not though so that you could only change one part and not every part. Obviously no mixing legendaries together or illegal parts but It could be the better version of the pre sequel grinder
It has to be Lilith from BL3
I love just spending three business days watching her power up.
Honourable mention: RK-5
Could you do a playthrough of only a certain manufacture, but use this crafting mod and pick up any weapon, if you can make them into the certain manufacture you chose at the start then you can use it.
I think this would make an interesting series.
Hope you have a great day/night.
My first thought was a green rocketeer with a green Dahl ar barrel the burst would go crazy
