A dying art, knowledge and preservation of arcade cabinets. Much appreciated look at this cabinet, this and Time Crisis were my first arcade experiences.
Its Jamie Davies how did the Japanese company develop Tekken 2 video game Fierce Deity Andrew my mate? I love this Tekken 2 video game too its my favourite game as well Fierce Deity Andrew my mate
Great video! Tekken 2 was my favorite game on the ps1 and despite having a lot of experience with the characters, it is still extremely difficult playing tekken at the arcade. Don't doubt your ability because you would have kicked my ass if I was there with you lol.
The ten characters on the character select screen are the default ones, all the off-screen ones are unlockable with codes on the character select screen. And I believe Devil was unlocked after the machine had been on for a fairly long time like six months or something.
You rock dude in Tekken 2 now that make me want to play this on my PS Vita and do it again for the 2nd time (but the Roger/Alex part is going to be hard as hell I not kidding around)
Half the Tekken roster are kind of edits of the other characters, or they share a lot of the same style anyway. The particularly tricky bit about learning Tekken is the hit priorities on attacks are different for every character. It's not like Virtua Fighter where middle attack beats low, low beats high etc. across the whole roster. You've sort of got to learn every character not just a handful.
That dynamo cabinet looks like the one I have and the same red t-molding too. I bought mine for $550 at my coin-op place and the game that came with it, is a Dark Stalkers but soon i'll be putting my SSFT2 in it. :)
My CPS2 is out for a battery change since I have no idea in doing that and I don't have the tools for it so I rather have my coin-op place do that for me. Yeah that's my next problem in not having a B motherboard and my coin-op place don't have any for sale. When i bought the arcade it didn't have a B board so only the blue CPS2 was in it. I don't know where they have any for sale online beside Ebay and that's one place I don't shop at because of no credit card any no Ebay account.
Your probably right about it being the A board and it's black. I don't have one and I did ask you on your other video if you had any extras in stock for sell.
Great video! Great game! I played one of the earlier Tekkens 1 or 2 in this cabinet with amazing sideart. really impressed me for the time. were Tekken 1 and 2 dedicated cabs or kit games? Or both?
There were definitely dedicated ones, that were in HUGE cabinets, I've got a Tekken 1 in storage I need to bring in eventually and fix in that huge cabinet.
They only have 1 job! They were supposed to put the _Tekken 2_ control panel on the _Tekken 2_ arcade machine & put the _Tekken 3_ control panel on the _Tekken 3_ arcade machine!
Does anyone know of this takes up a lot of electricity im planning on getting one and not sure if my bill would be more if i just played it and unplugged it when not playing
We usually tell people to unplug them when they're not using them, they use about as much electricity as a desktop computer. The real issue though is if you leave them on all the time the monitor will eventually wear out and the tubes are hard to replace.
Yes it will plug right in, but the two bottom buttons won't work... they had a special harness just for the kicks on Street Fighter, and then a special harness just for the kicks on Tekken and they're different. You could wire up a little plug though and leave it in the cabinet hooked up, that you plugged into the Tekken board when you switched it in. The same 'kick harness' would work on Tekken 1,2,3 and Tag.
12:35 "Obviously it's set on easy because she's not even moving". She then proceeds to still beat Joe 😂. Sorry Joe, just had to say that... Don't feel bad, I've never been good at Tekken either... I'm an MK guy myself. 👍
Oh man.. Back in my days💪💪
Some of yall youngstas dont know the feeling of going to the arcades..good ol days!!
You got that right!
I feel you on that. Used to play Tekken 3 and 4 a lot in local mall arcade back in the day.
A dying art, knowledge and preservation of arcade cabinets. Much appreciated look at this cabinet, this and Time Crisis were my first arcade experiences.
They were sliiiiightly past my time but I still saw them around a lot.
The original version of Tekken 2 was only released in Japan. When they released the international version, it was based on Ver. B.
That makes sense, thanks Jayden!
Actually, the version a was only meant for Korea, seeing as baek is the first playable character you can select in that game.
I remember grinding this game at my local arcade
This may have been the same one you played :) Thanks for watching Lucky!
Many hours on the arcade and psx version of this game
I used to just lose my pizza money at Carowinds on it....
Once wasted 40 dollars playing Tekken 2 arcade it was worth it
Really cool stuff. Love me some Tekken 2. Might be my favorite of the old school Tekkens just cause of the variety of characters and the music.
Its Jamie Davies how did the Japanese company develop Tekken 2 video game Fierce Deity Andrew my mate? I love this Tekken 2 video game too its my favourite game as well Fierce Deity Andrew my mate
Best game and probably my favourite soundtrack ever!
Great video!
Tekken 2 was my favorite game on the ps1 and despite having a lot of experience with the characters, it is still extremely difficult playing tekken at the arcade. Don't doubt your ability because you would have kicked my ass if I was there with you lol.
The next time I go to America, I’m coming to your store leaving with something!
I’ll rob a bank if I must!
LOL Don't do that, they're crackin' down on immigrants! :) See you soon!
I love Tekken takes years to master very fun
I haven't mastered it and it's been many years, LOL I guess I need more practice...
I own the arcade versions of T1, T2, T3, T4, T5DR, TTT, TTT2
The ten characters on the character select screen are the default ones, all the off-screen ones are unlockable with codes on the character select screen. And I believe Devil was unlocked after the machine had been on for a fairly long time like six months or something.
I vaguely remember something like that :)
It isn't an awesome weekend without our Joe! GIGGITY!
Awwww, shucks!
You're the man Joe.
Thanks Rick! You rock.
I want to hire Ronnie to commentate the play by play for when I play fighting games.
I'd do it for free, Bro.
You rock dude in Tekken 2 now that make me want to play this on my PS Vita and do it again for the 2nd time (but the Roger/Alex part is going to be hard as hell I not kidding around)
I'm sure you're better at it than me , I was never good at Tekken!
@@LyonsArcade well I'm always good at Tekken I play 6 out of 7 Tekken games the only thing I don't like is the blocking

Well I'm not any good at Virtua Fighter either so when you're starting at the bottom, you got lots of room to improve :)
I played an overclocked custom board hack that ran WAY faster once in the wild... was amazing.
That's pretty wild how they did hacks like that :)
That dynamo cabinet looks like the one I have and the same red t-molding too.
I bought mine for $550 at my coin-op place and the game that came with it, is a Dark Stalkers but soon i'll be putting my SSFT2 in it. :)
That should be a really simple swap, just pop the B board on it and you're good to go.
My CPS2 is out for a battery change since I have no idea in doing that and I don't have the tools for it so I rather have my coin-op place do that for me. I think the black board you're looking for is actually called the A board, that might be screwing up your search. I always get them confused....
Your probably right about it being the A board and it's black. I don't have one and I did ask you on your other video if you had any extras in stock for sell.
Just thought you might want to know that the cabinet’s “Player”, “Punch”, etc all use the Tekken 3 font. Is it a tekken 2 game in a Tekken 3 cabinet?
Yes somebody switched the control panel with a Tekken 3 control panel.
Amazing
Love it ❤🔥
How much cost a machine like this?
This one was $700.
@@LyonsArcade wow ok , where can you buy this 😁😁?
The extra characters here are better than the Angel/Devil clones in the third game
Sounds like they were starting to cheap out on the coding!
You guys got the tekken3 cabinet? Would love a video on it
We don't have one right now but we'll get one and film it. We've done a Tekken Tag here before on our channel awhile back.
Great video! Great game!

You play the game good
Thanks Deandre!
Hello! Perfect video! Do you know where I can find one Tekken 2 Arcade cabinet in Near Mint // Mint Condition?
They only have 1 job! They were supposed to put the _Tekken 2_ control panel on the _Tekken 2_ arcade machine & put the _Tekken 3_ control panel on the _Tekken 3_ arcade machine!
Look, life is hard :)
@@LyonsArcade How could they fail to put the control panels on the correct arcade machines by putting the control panels on the wrong arcade machines?
Tekken 2 was pretty awesome, though I'm a virtua figher guy tekken 2 was a lot of fun to play
Hey Joe, we wish you could show us the inside of the machines... !
I would buy the game just to watch the demos. Lol
Yeah they're well done....
Joe's Classic Video Games most of the time. Haha
Hi by any chance, do you know where I can get that type of control panel overlay?
Unfortunately no I don't know anybody that makes them.
I want that tekken
Does anyone know of this takes up a lot of electricity im planning on getting one and not sure if my bill would be more if i just played it and unplugged it when not playing

@@LyonsArcade thank you so much!
Do you know if I can put this pcb in my street fighter cabinet I'm new to arcades

Thanks I'll try that

Lee looks just like Future Trunks from DBZ.
