WOW You have been very busy, all your finished projects are beautiful. Your Alhambra sweater looks great on you. I just love your poncho, BEAUTIFUL I just finished a sweater and read that it has Alpaca, I love the Sandy Bag and love the one I won before, please leave me out of the drawing so someone else can enjoy.
I don't know how I missed this episode! I checked my notifications and it seems I wasn't subscribed anymore...odd! I did remedy that 😊 Your green sweater is beautiful....but the poncho is glorious. I've gone right over and purchased the pattern. I can't start yet...but I think I'll put it on my calendar as a New Year's Day cast-on ❤ I'm not entering the draw for the bag, as I am a previous winner (love my bag!) I also really like the Paulie Cardigan. I skimmed by it at first because I thought it looked like intarsia, which I'm not interested in...but when I saw it was mosaic knitting it caught my interest as I love knitting mosaic, and I love the texture
I love Alpacas. One of my best birthdays is the year I was taken to an Alpaca farm. Of course I bought some alpaca yarn and made a cowl with it. Florida is too warm for larger garments made with alpaca even though it feels dreamy.
My first alpaca blend project is a close fitting scarf. A bit itchy, so I'd like to try it again with a different type of project. Love the Sandy Bag! I have a fabric yarn bowl in the same fabric 🙂. Thanks for sharing all your work.
I have used alpaca several times in shawls/ wraps. I love the softness and how it works up! I have some Alpaca Reina in Merlot Red waiting to be made into a Tunisian crochet scarf! Love that big alpaca tote!! Howdy from the dye studio at Sweet Mountain Crafts in Cody Wy!
I have some alpaca in my stash but haven’t knit with it yet. I do have a pair of alpaca fingerless mitts that I purchased from another knitter and absolutely love them! 😊
🙌🥳👏 The poncho is done! 👏👏👏 The cables are gorgeous and your collar modification turned out great. Also love the Bird Song Shawl. Was the Zeoli yarn a purchase from the Knitty McPurly retreat?
Your finishes are beautiful! I love knitting with alpaca - just finished a hat in baby alpaca that’s so soft. I wondered if you blocked your swatch - mine definitely bloomed after blocking.
Thank you, Kendra. Yes, I blocked my swatch. I have now gone down to a size 1.5 needle. That seems really small for a sport weight yarn. That swatch is on the blocking mat now. Hoping for a better outcome.
Alpaca is very soft but can also be a bit prickly if the guard hairs aren’t removed. It is more drapey than wool and doesn’t have the springiness of wool, so will stretch. I think alpacas have cuter faces than llamas. I’m not sure which is on that bag. I think you will probably be happier with that sweater if you tone down or remove the waist shaping. The rest of the sweater seems to me to have more positive ease than what would work for a tailored look.
What awesome finishes! Just beautiful. And, holy cables! Wow!
Poncho is beautiful yes a labor of love
Your 3 finished projects are perfection! I wouldn't change a thing.
Thanks, Lucile!
Awe! So good to see you again! Your shawl and poncho are gorgeous!
Thank you! 😊
I love knitting with alpaca yarn. And I love the alpaca bag!
Hi Chris. Yes, it is a nice bag.
Amazing FO’s! They all look amazing!
Thanks, Tara!
Your sweater and your poncho both look fabulous! I love that purple yarn set at the end.
Thank you, Eileen!
I like the subtle pop of color in your shawl
Thank you, Margo.
Love your green sweater
Thank you, Linda!

I'm glad you found me again. I've heard of people getting accidentally unsubsidized. It's a strange glitch.
I hope you enjoy knitting the Alhambra!
I've not yet knit with alpaca but would like to try it one day. Love your knits! Greetings from London UK
You should give it a try. It's crazy to me to think I've reached someone all the way across the pond. Thanks for watching!

I'd love to visit an alpaca farm. That sounds like a fun birthday!

I didn't know alpaca could be itchy. The yarn I have is very smooth.

I missed seeing you when my husband and I rolled through town.
Yes, alpaca is super soft. I hope it makes a good elevated sweatshirt.
@@pandemicknitter I was so bummed that I missed seeing you....hope your trip was amazing!!!

You'll love knitting with it! I hope it hops on your needles soon.

Thank you, Colleen. Yes, I did get the yarn from the KMP retreat. As the next retreat approaches, I'm already feeling fomo. 😪

I haven't experienced prickly alpaca. I'll have to be careful about ordering it online. Thanks for the advice.
