  • Today I show my install of Bwoody shortened swaybar end links to fit some new Recluse 17" Racestar wheels with some Mickey Thompson ET Streets on them to hit the drag strip with for the last few races of the season.

I like those wheels you have. Very different than what other peeps are running. 👍🏼 I sprung for the AAD end links, since I got all their parts. Can't go wrong with sticky Mickey's! 😉 That's all I run on my Chally now. ✌🏼

I really like the look of them! Honestly I’m a fan of both the Mickeys and the Nittos. I think that should be one of the first upgrades on any Hemi Challenger.

I've got some good news for you and some bad news. The Mickey Thompsons will give you better traction than the Nittos. The bad news is that the Mickey Thompsons will wear out faster. I know that for a fact because I've owned both. The Nittos are a street tire that you can take to the dragstrip. The Mickeys are a drag tire you can use on the street. Gains at the dragstrip would be influenced by installing skinnies on the front. In the rear, I don't expect to see that much of a difference. Although the rotating mass of the smaller wheel will be less, it will be offset by the increase in the side wall of the tires. Most of the gain will be the result of being able to launch harder because the Mickeys have a softer compound. If you want to go faster, Nitrous is the best bang for the buck. I'm anxious to see what you get for gains with the tire swap.

Really like them so far, but I also really like my nittos. Both seem to give me pretty great traction at the track, but I do notice that a lot of the guys running the really high HP cars are running the Mickeys for the best traction. Are you running MTs on your car right now?

@@TrackPackRT - Yes, I am. They barely lasted the season because they're almost bald. If traction isn't an issue, go with the Nittos in the future. They last longer. I would try to see if I can launch harder with the Mickey Thompsons. If you can, it should lower your 60-foot times.

If you go for the JMS Avenger 17x10 , you wouldn't need to short the end links. And still putting 305s in easy, that is what I use .

Hi new to your channel, I just bought a 2012 RT and I really like your 17 inch wheel set up. Did you keep the stock front wheel or did you swap to 17 inch there as well? Thanks Gene

Welcome to the channel Gene! I think I’m going to pick up a set of 18” skinnies for the front to use at the track and see if I can shave a little more off my timeslip. I think you need 18s for the front to clear calipers. On the street I’m still rocking 20s, although I’ve got 10.5” wheels in the back with 275s on them for grip.
