The fact he switch hard flipped Wallenberg this late in his career is inspiring.
For real that’s gangster shit , he handled it
Hero
He hard flipped Carlsbad ffs.... That gap was gnarly AF.
@@SomeJustice19k switch hard flip
@@Beef_thief he switch hard flipped Carlsbad.
I like the way he laughs after landing the tricks
Hey dude what's up I just subbed your channel a couple weeks ago, I didn't expect to see you here lol
Love seeing you back full time from the 619
I grew up on shortys and always loved brandob turner. Also thought he was goofy, dude dead ass blew my mind with his switch skills when I was a kid
Skateboaders are crazzyy Im 16 ( a little late) and yall make me wanna pick up the board
Lol Muska at the end had me dying 🤣 💀 😂
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 truely blessed beautiful thing
Didn’t Jerry Hsu start doing more switch because of injuries? I wonder if the same applies to Brandon. Mad respect. Legend for sure.
Who else teared up wen he landed? 🛬
San Diego, C.A.
BIG B !! If The Muska says it...it’s the double truth, Ruth!🤣🤘💰💰💰💰💰💰
Hell yeah! Fucking redemption, man. Good stuff.
I miss these moments without Phelps. Big ups Brandon Turner man!
Pilates got you like that? Damn sign me up
That drop in didn't seem like it gave him enough speed for the switch hard but he handled it like it was nothing. I remember reading about the bridge incident in thrasher or transworld at the time and they said he fell from like 40 or 50 feet and I had always wanted to see the bridge. This is one of the few times where all of the shit is at least as big or bigger than it was made out to be. Good work getting clips of the spots.
Love these short docs. Brandon's a legend.
terry b on jenkem. what a legend
you gotta follow around someone skating/skitching cars around manhattan
Top anime crossover of 2021.
TERRYYYYYYYY
Hotline in this bitch
Watching that Bridge scene was something else.. The simple fact he survived is another matter!!!
But to recover strong enough (along with everything else) to end up smashing a Switch Hardflip down Wallenberg is pure love for the craft!! Legend.
My heart was pounding the entire time while I watched that segment. I had no idea that that had happened to Brandon.
Love ur vids
Absolutely nuts.
Bro that bridge is high as hell! I had no idea he had metal in his legs. Wow
This is true legendary status. Brandon Turner has overcome all obstacles with a smile on his face. We need to make a movie about him.
hearing the bridge story, seeing his legs, and then wallenberg... insane. big respect for big B
the mans in his 40's so inspiring
@@Robert1337_ 38 but still incredible!
Truly amazing/inspirational
Dudes a inspiration
i am not sure because it seems so carzy, did he jump off the bridge??
How many dudes near 40 are geeking out right now here? *Raises hand.
Fulfill the Dream was my first skate video. Played that tape until it didn't work anymore.
31 yrs bro, i loved this so much.
42 but feels like yesterday
🙋🏻♂️
I am 36 and grew up skating in 1995. In 98' he blew my mind, that whole video did with Fulfill the Dream. Switch hard flipping Carlsbad was just insane and legendary. He can do a switch hardflip in his sleep. A legend. Brandon is tough physically and mentally.
AT AGE 38??? GET THAT SHIT B!!
38? Holy shit
Thought he was 36?
@@therealwewin Had an interview early June I believe stated he was 38 now soon to be 39 this yr
39 and closer to 40 is what I heard
I fell almost 40 ft at work last year and shattered my knee, I was starting to think I'd not be able to skate again, but i decided to hop on my board yesterday and cruised around, then I see this dude broke both legs and he's out here shredding like that. Super inspirational.
The fact that there is a specific spot built ramp/roll-in for a spot that’s not really the most accessible ready to be constructed for people willing to throw down blows my mind. Brandon, welcome back. Not that you were ever gone
Inspirational. No mainstream athlete would perform at this level after something like the bridge. Shows how much of a prodigy he was / is.
I couldn't agree more
Why did he jump
@@rogerr6322 he didn’t mean to. He thought there was no gap between the bridges.
@@MrEL91N can you imagine the feeling ! Realizing you fucked up and jumped off a 60ft bridge ? Man is a legend
The switch hard at Carlsbad really blows my mind every time I see it
IKR YOU CAN HEAR HIS WHEEL HIT A PEBBLE OR SOME SHIT ON THE ROLL UP AND HE’S LIKE “OH SHIT” BUT HE JUST KEEPS GOING AND BUSTS OUT THE FAT SWITCH HARD DOWN CARLSBAD. I NEVER GET OVER HOW HE KEEPS GOING AND THEN LANDS THE TRICK, SHITS AMAZING FOR SURE..
the juxtaposition of the wild push up and the instant control of the flip
That thing is amazing, wobbles around and then a perfect switch hard. The reason i learned too do them
That switch hard was legendary
Just saw him yesterday at city heights park. With his group, he was so chill with them. Pushing them, teaching them. Such a legend
Hate to say that he is underrated. Deserves more credit for sure
Skateboard industry is like the entertainment industry in the say it's so closed n has a few ppl who decide who gets on
trick of the year for sure. mad respect
Seems like you haven’t seen Godspeed. Alex midler backside 360 on the car wash drop in.
@@topxsoul I like the switch hard better personally. That back 3 off the car wash into the bank was absolutely buck and insane but Midler is a young guy that can afford to take heavy slams. Brandon is fucking 38 throwing himself down that mountain I respect the fuck out of that. Just seems like more on the line for Brandon. His legacy was almost already set, he didn’t have anything to prove by doing that. Midler on the other hand is young and hungry so I expect that kinda commitment.
@@topxsoul seent it. this one still sticks with me
@@topxsoul both great tricks but Brandon is 38
@@topxsoul The 360/270 was amazing. Incredibly gnarly. Insane. But a legit switch hardflip at the 'berg? I don't care if you're 38 or 18, that is nuts. TOTY for sure.

The bridges being split was definitely a plot twist to the story lol

I thought he was going to say hit by car.
I kickflipped the two part 20 something years ago and thought I was awesome 🤣 GO BIG B!!! Incredible 🙌
Ras Kitchen! Hope you and Mokko are doing well. Crazy to spot your comment on Jenkem’s Brandon Turner documentary. Best!
You are awesome dyoode!!!

Switch god for sure. So stoked he's re-emerging. Saying that as an old that's burnt out on today's skate scene. The skating itself is mind blowing but the "scene"...nahh
My heart dropped when you showed the gap you fell in.
Strong man!!

Also 38 and been off booze and hard drugs for 4 years now. Keeps getting better. Keep it up family.
Just made a 38 year old man happy and inspired. Looked up to Brandon and the shortys team so much in my teens. This made me wanna get into better shape and skate to my best abilities.
36 here, same vibe.
35 here. I love seeing one of my all time favorite skaters getting healthy and straight up KILLING it again. It's so inspirational. I started getting healthy and skating again back in April. So far I've dropped 70 lbs and feel so much better mentally and physically. I skate better now in my mid 30's than I did 20 years ago because I'm passionate about my growth instead of getting faded and barely skating.
I'm 43 and started skating again after a long ass pause
@@analog_memories Great to hear! Hopefully, things are continuing in the same vein, man! Peace!
38 here. Me to man. Me to. Shortys and brandon specifically was the man. When i was a kid amd coos came and tried to ask my name i always said brandon turner. Lmao.
Yeah this is so sick. Im 43 And didn't skate for like 10 years and just getting back into bc we finally got a park near by. Mad respect Brandon!
Props to you getting back in
WHO KEEPS A 5TH OF HENNESSY AND A CARGO POCKET FILLED WITH WEED?! His Guilty part was insane..dude is a true legend and to come back from addiction like he did and be relevant at 39 years old winning the SLS trick title is mind blowing. A true inspiration
So weird seeing him wearing a shoe that’s not Osiris... glad he’s doing good now.
What shoe is that, that he’s wearing?
@
Look like some Vans Sk8-Hi during the bridge scene.
@ Straye Logan flames when he’s skating. Straye Hiland on the bridge
THAT WAS SO INSANELY SICK! And inspirational! And the way they started the whole thing with Shorty's Guilty part! Ah man, what a treat
Him skating with those metal legs makes me uncomfortable
Skate culture is kinda schizophrenic- guys who "get sober" like Brandon, Greco, Reynolds, etc. are celebrated, while there's still a lot of emphasis on partying, and weed is ubiquitous. Before anyone says "but weed is different", ask Brandon if it was a gateway thing for him, and ask him why he doesn't do it now if it's so positive.
big facts
Weed has gotten me higher and more paranoid then any drugged I’ve ever taken
“Gateway drugs” are subjective and entirely dependent on the individual and their tendencies.
@@MyBodyWash True- it varies by person, but there is plenty of evidence that THC has a detrimental effect. Mariano, Paolo Diaz, & too many to name know this first hand. Wes Kremer will look beat in a few years, & Evan Smith already does.
That's a genuine feel good story if I've ever seen one + the guy rips like a pro
Wtf he is pro nigga
So much respect for this legend!
Whats up
that bridge is no joke wtf haha its a damn miracle hes skating today. #legendary
what a fucking legend. also the strength is takes for you to return to the bridge is incredible. love this guys growth!
i've never seen brandon turner do a regular hardflip.
2 hours staring iminent death bleeding out that face has seen some s
I shed a legitimate tear at the Wallenberg switch hardflip. Fulfill the Dream was my first video, and to see him still doing this at the highest level is wonderful. Congrats Brandon! You deserve it!
I remember looking up to Brandon as a kid, he's just as inspirational now as he was to me 20 years ago.
This has to win Trick of the Year

OL BOY SKATING
GLAD to see the older gen still killin it, i just got back into skating.
Thanks to youtube, never stopped watching skate videos, ive actually watched more skate video since i quit than when i was skating. All because of youtube.
Also, thanks to the 9 club n my 4 n half yr old son. I want to be able to do some sht when he gets a bit older n i think it would be awesome for me to share skating with him. He already likes it, so IM FULLY IN, middle of building a skate box now ( had to stop because of the east coast weather)
Got enough wood to build 2 boxes, a bench ( going to put granite top on it, buttery ledge basically)
N building a rail also, n of couse everything im building will be adjustable height.
Skating never leaves you
Love seeing shit like this man! Was fuckin OBESESSED with Shortys when i was a young kid in the early 2000s lol
Hell yea , remember the shortys decks with the cereal characters? Dope sht..
Absolute legend, heavy story to share, so much respect for the skills he's showing right now. Go B.
5:32 Goddamn Holy Shit. So fucking lucky your still alive someone was for sure looking out for you my dude
I just wanna take a second to appreciate the fact the Brandon switch hardflipped Wallenberg AT AGE 39!!! Like dude . . . Imma give Pilates a try.

incredible video
Jenkem coming through with some more fire content. Keep it going!!!
Hardly phased him, switch hard in under 10 tries jeez...
This is one of the most inspirational things I've seen in a long time. Switch hard down Wallenberg is fucking mental.
Lmao he more worried about hiding his hairline when the hat flies off than he is about getting injured
Wallenberg probably looks so small to him after that bridge schananagin
"You heard I got hit by a car, got my leg broke, and my head cracked. I'm an indestructible skater, my tricks a minor set back"
In my mid 30s and haven’t skated in over 20 years but I still think about it all the time. It was my first love. This was a inspiring video.
Same here
Get it
His switch skills blew me away when I was a kid. Really nice to see how he tuned his life around. Makes me wonder how far he would have taken his talent if he had stayed on the straight and narrow.
I remember Little B in the storm, I was 14 at the time and it changed what I thought a kid my age could do on a skateboard, legend
Spent my whole life in san diego, I assure you, that bridge HIGH! Also, this guy was known AF in SD skating. Seeing him still going off is a trip to me
Really happy for that brotha. What an amazing turn around.
6:23 Kawhi, is that you?

This guy is fucking gnarly and I’m glad he’s alive 🖤💯🙏🌹
Man I just time warped back to middle school real quik
Are those all the tries? He‘s fucking insane.
People just don’t understand Wallenberg unless they see it in person... My uncle lives in the Richmond district in San Francisco. I scoped it out one day, (hopped the fence and everything lol..) I ollied off the first step, that was it.. LOL I know nobody asked for that story but there it is. Real shit this gap is insane...
It’s huge! It’s crazy that people actually do tricks down it.

Mad respect. Inspiring life experience. Worth watching it. 👊😤
Can’t believe he’s survived that fall that’s huge
I am 6 years sober and just started skating again after 10 years off the board. I'm 29 and a little overweight, but I'm having so much fun. This guy is absolutely an inspiration man. Kickflips were hard for me to get back, but I practice everyday. Thanks for posting this video.
