I am 36 and grew up skating in 1995. In 98' he blew my mind, that whole video did with Fulfill the Dream. Switch hard flipping Carlsbad was just insane and legendary. He can do a switch hardflip in his sleep. A legend. Brandon is tough physically and mentally.

Brandon is fucking 38 throwing himself down that mountain I respect the fuck out of that. Just seems like more on the line for Brandon. His legacy was almost already set, he didn’t have anything to prove by doing that. Midler on the other hand is young and hungry so I expect that kinda commitment.

35 here. I love seeing one of my all time favorite skaters getting healthy and straight up KILLING it again. It's so inspirational. I started getting healthy and skating again back in April. So far I've dropped 70 lbs and feel so much better mentally and physically. I skate better now in my mid 30's than I did 20 years ago because I'm passionate about my growth instead of getting faded and barely skating.

Skate culture is kinda schizophrenic- guys who "get sober" like Brandon, Greco, Reynolds, etc. are celebrated, while there's still a lot of emphasis on partying, and weed is ubiquitous. We used to have a videotape called ON Video Skateboarding with a small doc about Carlsbad, cali and this small five sec clip about his switch hardflip at 2:35 was added to the footage. This was about 20 years ago and i still remember his name and never forgot about that hardflip! Truly amazing to see him again, as i haven't been skating myself since all the classics like Yeah Right! Such a LEGEND! I'm hooked to Primitive Skate nowadays ;)

It's different hearing the story about the bridge and now physically seeing it how high he jumped from is crazy. Most people would be lucky to be able to walk again let alone huck yourself down a monstrous gap like Wallenberg. Even though his part is short in osiris subject to change it's still one of my favourite parts from that video. Keep pushing B you got this!

Man this is crazy inspirational. To go through all that and come out on top. Pushing the limits like most can't. I've had my share in down times and fuck ups and skating has always been there for me also. Just about seven months sober myself right now and I just love to see this shit.
