This cracks me up. Within 11 minutes of airing amazon is sold out. Lol. This happens all the time with things you review. Apparently you missed you calling in sales. Thanks Luke. 😊
@scotbotvideos that's cool bro. I don't think I miss any episodes. Only reviews I truly trust just found it funny in such a short time the item was sold out.😆 . He has warned us of this problem in pryer episodes. Keep up the great work folks. You all get 5 stars from this house hold.
What the fack, I had this in my cart bc he brought up how much he liked in a previous video. They sold out before I could check out. Dammit, now they gonna be restocked at 40$ i bet.
They took a top tier design and improved it by adding a quality carry case and the ability to use adapters that allow for multiple different fuels to be used. Very, very useful, Good on Them!!!
I am always amazed at the "cheap" items that have served me well over the years. Price is not always a good indicator of quality or performance. Thanks Luke, stay safe, God bless.
You're absolutely right. I've had the same experiences. Some well-known brands tend to totally exaggerate the price of certain items. I'm glad that some no-name brands are knocking off items and selling them at a more fair price. It teaches the brands that rip off their customers a valuable lesson.
It looks fantastic for the money, I bought an amicus was underwhelmed so bought the wind master it is better and has the option of the other pot stand which is great but this does look like a fantastic budget purchase, and if it goes as well as the cheap one I bought off Amazon about 7 years ago it's a great option.
The PeleoHikerMD channel did a comprehensive performance review of the two stoves more than a year ago. The wind master come out on top in terms of heating time and fuel usage, especially in windier conditions. Camping Moon stove is great value though!
Watched that review. Funny the campingmoon knocked my Soto out of my gear bag.. I found the boil time comes closer to neck N neck and in some cases with the Campingmoon beating the SOTO somewhat better. So many factors involved with boil time reviews it's a matter of how close you can replicate the atmospheric conditions, temps and other conditions. I live above 8180 feet and things are different at say 2000 feet even with a regulator.. What's three to five seconds really? I like the igniter on the Campingmoon, I've had some issues with my Windmaster Igniter when it was damp out. I own three for different pack outing situations, like for the price of the SOTO another $12.00 gets you three of these.. My in home test stove has been going strong for almost close to over a year and a half (Actually lost track of time) making breakfast every morning and a cup of tea every night.. And nothing has failed. As far as different fuels go, I've attached this to Propane ( Lots of pressure comes out of those green canisters but works great and a faster boil time due to the higher pressure output. I actually may stop using Propane as it may cause some damage to the regulator due to the higher pressure output, it was just a test ayway. I refill my used Isobutane canisters with straight Butane if I'm camping in warmer weather, Isobutane in colder weather. And It still gives me a boil time as like the Isobutane, but the canister does get cold faster with straight Butane. Luckily the Regulator keeps this in check. I've stuck this in my freezer attached to a refill canister of Butane for two days and although the igniter took a few extra clicks it fired up with a small bit of predictable chugging of the flame but once the stove itself started warming up it was going strong. I will use no other stove for Solo outings.. As with the SOTO they both consume a little bit extra fuel, that's the price you pay for speed.
I'd like to see how the different fuels affect boiling times, would be interesting to see real burn time lengths and ease of use for each type of fuel it can use
Great review, I purchased the XD-2F a few months ago and echo your findings. It is a good value. Mine came with the 3-leg pot support and a cloth storage bag. Thanks
Well, 2 for the price of 1, on what I would consider to be a better stove. The stoves themselves are for the most part, the same. But with the Campingmoon having the better case, being a muti-fuel and half the price, I can't help but say it's the better of the 2. Pete, you did an awesome job at finding this one!!
I am kinda surprised that you have come across this stove now and not earlier. Almost exactly 1 year ago I was considering buying Soto Windmaster (based also upon your review). But I really was not able to buy it (here in Czech Republic / Europe) for 70 USD (in some shop or e-shop etc.). Usually the price was 85 USD with shipping. As I did not know how often I will use the stove (could be not so often) I did not want to spend so much money and looked for some alternatives. I found Campingmoon XD-F2 which was much cheaper. But I had an ethical dilemma (to buy Japanese original or Chinese knock-off)... If I would be able to buy Soto for 70 USD I would buy it, but eventually I bought Campingmoon. Until today it works without any issue. I would also appreciate a little bit more tension with adjuster. It is hard to set the stove to "simmer mode" - not only because the adjuster but also because on low setting I never know if the stove is still working (flame burning) or not. So I have to adjust a little bit more flame/volume and even with this low setting it heats the pot significantly and I have to stir the meal constantly (would be no problem if boiling only water).
Not much of a simmer stove, but indoors it can be done. Issue is it roars then try to simmer you could have turned it off and you wouldn't know it it's so quiet. I'm trying to figure out how to make a heat buffer to simmer while maintaining a good flame. Like two soup can lids stacked with spacers between them to cool off the upper tin.
Still have my Optimus 45 stove, I got second hand in the late Fifties. (1958) It still works fine. They were The camp stove for exploring for more then fifty years. I am pretty sure Scott used these in Antarctica. Bet it weighs about the same as advertised here.
I had mine for 2 years now and I love it. In that case does help a lot. In protection of the stove. What goes to s always worth over engineering things. Not to mention. If you still get it off of amazon you can purchase that case separate from the stove.
Using the soto tri-flex with the camping moon works great with fire maple petrel pot. Then you might as well slip a boundless voyage titanium 550mm pot into the petrel AND the boundless voyage double wall 350 with a tight lid into that.
If I didn’t already have the MSR pocket rocket deluxe, this would be my pick for a new stove. Don’t care about the storage bag or case. I store mine in the pot with a handkerchief around it.
I bought this stove as a backup/car camping stove a few months ago, its legit. I have used the Windmaster exclusively for 7 years without fail, their is little difference.
I know you don't care whether or not we buy the products you review, but your excitement about this particular item has prompted me right this very minute to buy it. Preppers gotta prep.
My concern with Propane is the high pressure the canisters throw out, they make them out of steel for that reason. May damage the regulator.. Yes it does work and works almost to well.
Thanks Luke. Super nice stove and great price. Unfortunately I was cutting my lawn, and didn’t see this until it had been online for 2 hours. Hopefully they ramp up production,or I won’t get mine until next year. Sold out for now, damnit. Thanks. You have shown me so much great stuff, and saved me so much money
@@JasonWicklund Snagged one from ebay for the same price, but 3 weeks estimated delivery. That seller is now sold out. I don't have an account made with AliExpress but have one with ebay.
Been using mine for a long time. Easily worth the extra few dollars over the BRS which is awful in anything more than a light breeze. The SOTO Triflex fits just fine
I STILL prefer my Soto Amicus. More compact without those bulky removable legs. The Amicus has 4 permanently attached legs, weighs less and fits into a Toaks 750 pot with a fuel canister and if it heats water a little slower than a Windmaster, it still boils water fast enough for me AND it ALL stores in the Toaks 750 pot.
Still the main man to go to for info. Damn I sorry I haven’t been watching lately but had some things to do. But back and still interested in what you do. SEMPER FI
I purchased this on Amazon some time back and I personally love it and for the price. Like Luke I get impatient and want my coffee quick and not have to wait for the cows to come home before the water gets hot. I also purchased the fuel adapters for this to cover my bases. As of this posting I saw Amazon shows this as currently unavailable.
Nice to hear it performs so well. Might need to get a 2nd one. I was not especially happy with some of the micro stoves I have as I usually cook and not just boil water. Was looking for something with a bit bigger burner surface and stronger pot supports but still in a compact size, especially against the Coleman one I already have. Found this one and grabbed it. Was surprised at the design and thought it would be smaller, but build seemed pretty good. Not flimsy like a lot of the micro stoves. Haven't tried it out yet but glad to hear the speed of heating probably offsets the slightly larger size. And that case is definitely nice.
Same time I get with a cup, the flame is more direct on this stove seems like Aluminum works best for boil time. Stainless absorbs outer temps and sucks heat for some reason but easy to clean. I have an Aluminum tea pot and a stainless and the Aluminum pot beats it every time.
Good review. Do you prefer performance of a stove over lightness. When camped, is the point to relax , enjoy the environment, an extra 60 secs time may be ok and the consumption of fuel may be less. Just some additional thoughts. Take care 😎👍🏕
Nice little thing, sure among the top in the list of fast boiling 10.000 btu gas stoves, and concerning the price/performance ratio most probably even in the top 3 or so. Yet, I'm waiting for your further experience. Boiling water is surely the main reason for most people nowadays to have such a stove, means they all boil water for preparing a coffee or a dehydrated meal, and that's it. And if a stove boils a cup of water 30 seconds faster than another stove of the same kind, then go for it. Of course I do also like my coffee out there, no doubt I do also boil water. But whether that takes 2 minutes or 6 minutes doesn't matter at all for me, as I am usually not spending my time sitting in front of the cup and waiting for some water to boil, even though that can be also sometimes a nice experience. But my main stove use is for cooking purposes, on trails and on travels. And there is some reason why even simple 3.500 btu alcohol stoves like a Trangia come with a way to reduce the flame - even that relatively low amount of maximum heat is usually too much for most cooking purposes. Except for boiling water, You need usually much less heat and have to simmer a lot, whether you prepare pasta or rice or some eggs or stews and so on. So I'm waiting for experiences, how good this stove is for such cooking, how easy it can be put on low flame and whether it keeps it and so on. And finally I would also like to know how loud it is on low flame - I know already from watching this video, that one cannot use this thing full speed during stealth camping/cooking, as that sound reaches out for at least one mile or so. You would awake the whole campground when you prepare your breakfast at 4:30 am and if you would use it in a hotel room, the staff would immediately come running to see what you are doing there inside ... ;-)

I don't know if you read your comments but I use this stove with the soto 3 arm pot stand you can't buy and the fire maple petrel pot, it's ridiculous.
So many Chinese copies their products. As Japanese myself (SOTO is Japanese company and I have many gears from them), I feel the pain from SOTO's guys.
Interesting about the multi fuel capabilities, been meaning to see if the Nature hike 2 burner you reviewed, and I finally got a killer deal on, can use other fuels as well. What makes the stove capable to use other fuels? Oh and this one is already sold out after your review as usual 😂
How do I use propane? Does it stand up in its own? I see a butane stove stand adapter, but not a propane stove stand adapter. And does it perform as fast with propane?
I’m running my Windmaster for years on any fuel I can find. The cheaper and dodgier the better. Surprise: nothing happened. My stove only got better and better. Wouldn’t exchange it. Ever

Wow, the AliExpress price here in Germany is only 8,28€ (roughly 10$). Delivery included!! Thats a bargain! 👍
Nice Kylo Ren inspired tn :)
I'm really tempted to get one of these little babies. But I have a Pocket Rocket what'd ya do.
Too funny! It's "unavailable" on Amazon. I guess I waited too long to watch your video, Luke. :)
So many Chinese copies their products. As Japanese myself (SOTO is Japanese company and I have many gears from them), I feel the pain from SOTO's guys.
I love that stove ❤😅
Cool new editing!
the soto is too tall and wont fit into a pot with that also fits the gas canister, will the FREX be able to because its shorter?
Your links are for the stove WITHOUT the piezo igniter.
Can you please do review of a ALPKIT VAGABOND Stove?
Cool support from uk 🎉
Frex? haha. Was the stove as quiet as the Soto. That is the reason I use the windmaster.
Hey Luke, you know what R & D stands for in China? Ripoff and duplicate
Ordered stove and propane adaptor for less than 30$
Interesting about the multi fuel capabilities, been meaning to see if the Nature hike 2 burner you reviewed, and I finally got a killer deal on, can use other fuels as well. What makes the stove capable to use other fuels? Oh and this one is already sold out after your review as usual 😂
I have the same question
Any chance you are thinking about reviewing the 3 sec tent🤔
Awesome value. :)
Currently (4-23-24) not available on Amazon or the Campingmoon website. Darn
I have one, and i want to know we can put a 4 flex of a camping moon in to a soto? can you test it?
Gone!
£27.30 on Amazon in the U.K. and they are in stock.
Wow! Give me two ot those!
Hi there have a great day
I bought this stove from the link you provided on the last video you featured it and it didn’t come with a piezo igniter.☹️
you can find a propan adapter for the green propan bottles, for soto you need a chinese adapter😅
How do I use propane? Does it stand up in its own? I see a butane stove stand adapter, but not a propane stove stand adapter. And does it perform as fast with propane?
The $7 price is for the storage bag only. The bag and stove are $23
I cannot find this stove anywhere on Amazon.
I was more lucky at playing the lottery then trying to get this stove from Amazon.
I’m running my Windmaster for years on any fuel I can find. The cheaper and dodgier the better. Surprise: nothing happened. My stove only got better and better. Wouldn’t exchange it. Ever
The link to Amazon is for the version of the stove without an igniter!
I found that the XD-2F does not work with Coleman canisters. I think the pin is too short.
Has anyone tested this stove at low temperatures and also with the gas canisters running low to see how effective the Regulator is? Just wondering.
Anytime you like something immediately it's getting soldout. I hope you make 💰 from it. ✌🏻
Luke, can you please check this Rideiwake Stove with fuel canister adapter portable $ 23.99
