Beautiful Woman, Voice Beautiful interpretation
This song has been a source of joy to many generations. My grandfather born 1871 sang it in my house in 1955 at my brother's 18th birthday party. It brought the house down. The youngster's present were delighted and astonished. My grandfather could only read capital letters and could only sign his name but loved to sing this song.

Not given to all (great singers) to find the ideal balance between simple & amazing... Sierra isn't the only one but still. Her voice & singing though are rather exceptional anyway. Very good & just piano accompaniment.

Beautiful dreamland, written around 1862. Foster was in New York at that time, hard up, poor, unattended, and missing his wife, Jenny, day and night, so he wrote such touching songs. Thus, the style of this song is more sentimental than another song written for Jenny, "blonde Jenny". "Beautiful apollinian", no matter its lyrics or melody, is incomparable to other songs that miss friends and relatives. This song is also one of the few folk songs written in triple time.
