This is all about addiction. My daughter sent me this song from rehab to help me understand. I cant listen to it often. I do listen every year on her sober anniversary though, i know how strong she is for not going back

The lead singer struggled with addiction his whole life and lost his mom and it crushed him that she hurt so much from his addiction. He wrote her this song. Heartbreaking
Making me ugly cry. This song and his emotional delivery stabs you right in the heart! Just want to hug him and every person hurting right now.
I still remember the exact location when I heard this song for the first time. This song literally grabbed me and never let go. Til this day!!
Fun Fact: the voice mail at the beginning and end is a real voicemail his mom left him. In the original video, when the lady is laying over him and holding him, that is is mom(they flew her out to be in the video)

Loved the reaction. Justin the lead singer has a way of capturing emotion in lyrics like no other. I would suggest listening to the worry list, the feel again and light you up all live versions. Justin writes from a very personal place. Fall down the rabbit hole you won't be disappointed.

A song that got me through some really tough times was Fear by Blue October. Very empowering!
You can't go wrong with anything from the live from Texas show (I was lucky enough to be there!) like many others I recommend the feel again and the worry list, I would add light you up (a total banger) and x amount of words (my 2 favs)
Check out The Feel Again (Stay) from the same concert as well as the acoustic version of Fear. No one sings their emotions the way Justin does.
the Feel again (stay) is one of their best songs. Its about a divorce the lead singer went through. You gotta check it out

If you guys haven't done "Fear" live yet, you ABSOLUTELY should! The acoustic version and the concert version are just outta this world! He's one of the few performers that I think sounds 10× better live!

It seems weird to say it aloud, or even to type it, but at my lowest, when the razor just seemed so easy... I'd scream this song, and a few others of theirs. It helped, somehow. Maybe it was singing along with someone else who had felt what I felt so strongly, such crushing pain and self-hatred. The chorus of this song would rip its way out of my throat, and take some of the pain with it.
