Dimash Qudaibergen performed the song "SOS" in the 1st round of the Chinese contest" I am a Singer " in 2017. The next day, more than 600 million viewers learned about Dimash.

I have listened to thousands of vocalists in my 54 years on Earth..I don't need to be a vocal expert to conclude that Dimash is on another level in regrds to versatilty, range, power, precision and stamina.
Dimash is born to sing and be on stage. He has studied music and singing all his life. He grew up in a very musical environment. Maybe with the song STRANGER (performance new wave) or OLIMPICO (performance channel Igor Krutoy) you can see some of his skills. There are also good fan cam videos of this both songs in his latest concert in Istanbul for example on the channel of Sezen Heny. But he sang so many different genres, so we never know what we get from him.
Dimash is from Kazakhstan and both of his parents are considered national treasures because of their contributions to the nation's musical history. So he was known to be a prodigy from a young age and has trained long and hard to be so good. He holds two or three very prestigious doctorates in music, can not only sing exquisitely in almost any genre including pop, jazz, opera, chinese opera, and national folk music in probably a dozen or so languages from his native Kazakhstan, Russian, French, German, English, Chinese, Japanese among others, although he iis not fluent in all, maybe only four or five. He can play many musical instruments including a couple of his own nation's string instruments along with the normal piano and guitar. He is also an accomplished composer in his own right along with collaboratiion with other accomplished composers, mainly Russian. His repartee of songs is so great and varied that it would be difficult to nominate which song one should listen to next. I would nominate his live performance of "Stranger" as the next song as it is in English and probably only slightly more mindblowing than SOS.
He has a sister who also apparently had a very good singing voice, although she suffered from extreme stage fright and shyness so she became a doctor of medicine instead.
If you have never heard Raushan sing, then watch her perform All By myself with Dimash or Duderai. Her voice is. VEry steady even though she is apparently shy.

Welcome to the beautiful world of Dimash! As Dimash would say, there's no trick to singing the way he sings, you just need to start at age 5 and go to music school for the next 20 years. Both of his parents are singers, so he's been around music since conception! The story I've heard is that when he was about 5 years old he told his parents that their piano was out of tune, and that sort of clued them in! Dimash says that since he was 2 years old the only thing he's wanted is to be on stage and sing. He also used to collect all the cassette tapes in the house and take them to bed with him! He's basically made of music! 🇨🇦

The way I found to celebrate the majesty of Dimash's talent was to have written the following about him: If I were to rule the world, I would immediately add, to the universal declaration of human rights, another article (they would become 31) whose wording would next "All human beings have the right, at least once in their lives, to hear Dimash sing". I am a Professor and I believe that I have a special profession that allows me to transform the human heart and consequently the human society. I work with young people and young people need to have good references. I had been looking for someone for a long time, of whom I could speak to the young people I work with, as a good reference. That person should be young, a super talent, a super mega star in the art world and above all, because he is the most important, a good human person. I searched and never found anyone with these characteristics. Until, finally, I found this person and that person is Dimash. I had the opportunity to say this to Dimash, personally, when I was with him in Latvia where I went, coming from Portugal (there are 8000 km round trip), on the 7th of March 2020. He’s got more than an exceptionally wide range, there’s a whole bag of vocal tricks if you check out more of his catalogue. Try Olympico, or When I’ve Got You. He comes from a musical family parents both singers, mother is a soprano in opera in Kazakhstan. They discovered when he was five that he had absolute pitch from then he studied music. As Kazakhstan is an old Soviet province he went to normal school for half day, and music school the rest. He studied both opera and modern singing at uni, with a Masters in composition.

Dimash's grandparents moved in to his home at his birth to raise him in Kazakh traditional style, and his parents could continue to work in singing and the arts. So his destiny and foundation produced all this with his full embracement of it all since birth.

Who is Dimash? I, and a few others, call him the singer of the millennia because the range of musical genres, and his vocal range, 7.7 octaves, are like no other. From Kazakhstan, beginning his singing career at age 5 (he's 29 now, 2023), Dimash was accepted into the most distinguished music academy in his country. The world became aware of him in 2017 (when he was 22), during and after a Chinese singing contest called "Singer". His first digital music album "ID" went platinum in only 37 seconds after release, and 3x platinum in only one hour, and 5x platinum in only one day on Chinese music platforms In December 2019, he made his US debut in New York at the Barclays Center. Dears (those he calls his fans) traveled from 68 different countries, 43 states & 2 US territories, and was sold out. Now writing his Doctoral thesis for a PhD in Musicology/ Composing, received all his degrees with honors while simultaneously filling arenas and maintaining his performing career, a first! He has a bachelors degree in vocals, a master's degree in composition and is about to complete his PhD in musicology this year (2023).
Dimash sings in 14 languages, plays 7+ musical instruments, is a composer, an amazing vocalist, patriot, philanthropist and, despite his popularity and talent, is a very warm and humble person.

Unfortunately not many people here in the US are aware of him, partly because we just really don't open ourselves up to music from other cultures. Also, because he's a completely independent artist, he doesn't have a big label pushing him out there and promoting him. That's why his fan base, the Dears, put so much effort in all over the world to spread awareness not only of his incredible talent but to show people how he's simply an amazing human being. En realidad Dimash nació cantando 😅 desde muy temprano en su vida estuvo rodeado de música ya que ambos, sus padres, son cantantes reconocidos de Kazajistán, y su vida diaria transcurrir entre músicos talentosos. Por lo que no es de extrañar que Dimash empezara a dar indicios de su increíble talento desde los dos años de edad, empezando ya su formación musical formal a los 5 años de edad. Desde entonces Dimash toma a diario clases de canto para mantener y mejorar sus aptitudes vocales. Es además un destacado multinstrumentalista, compositor, director, bailarín, actor y arreglista. Con una versatilidad nunca antes vista lo que le ha permitido cantar en al menos 15 idiomas distintos, en géneros como rock, ópera, folk, rap, blues, pop y jazz, abarcando desde los tonos de barítono hasta voz de silbido, siendo su rango vocal de más de 6 octavas! It's hard to say which is my favorite Dimash song, since I have too many. But I'd like to suggest Stranger, New Wave, 2021. And I'm sure that the Dears will suggest many others.

I’m SO excited you’ve discovered Dimash!!! He’s the world’s best, sings in like 15 languages, has perfect pitch and plays like 5 instruments. His concerts are absolutely huge and his Story of One Sky he composed over 3 years is for peace. It makes you cry, first the video but live is insane. Oh he RAPS too lol
