finally someone who plays the music the EOD was made for, sounds cool when playing huge riffs and not those abysmal generic shred metal shit and Randall please get rid of that nonsense graphics on the faceplate, just make it plain and classy looking like a vintage amp.
Hi. The Randall EOD88 seems ideal for a powerful metal sound. I wonder however if it works well with a high gain distortion pedal (in front of it, the way the built-in fuzz gives powerful sounds), for those (like me) who want to add to the amp their distortion. Thanks for the answer (because I found no video testing this amp with external distortion).
I am sure it was set pretty loud. Interesting if Matt finally bought this amp or came just to taste it? The more I listen to EOD88, the more I like it, there is no need to buy 2K+ orange, this randall can cover all doom metal needs. Possibly this EOD does not have such pricey parts, as Orange does, but it still sounds good. I worry a bit about small transformers inside of EOD, even 50w Thrasher have bigger transformers inside,.
+Rashid Sivaji I don't mean to come off a bit brash, but I see this comment a lot with this amp and am baffled as to what you like about it if you don't like the fuzz? Is it the cosmetics or just that it's a single channel amp?
IPA Drinker The huge bottom end and thick, full tone that comes from a KT-88. Not many amps use KT-88s so when one comes around I always pay attention.
Finally, a demo with someone actually playing doom on this amp. Thank you!
I have one playing through 15”s and right when you hit 3’oclock on the volume it crushes your soul
Just got one this week

This amp, lower output, in a combo. Please.
I really want this amp but I don't understand how anyone could like the sound of fuzz.

because you don't accept the epicness of Sleep, High on Fire, Electric Wizard, and Sunn 0))) into your heart.

+Rashid Sivaji Ah I see now.
+Rashid Sivaji Huge bottom end can be heard if the trasnformer is big, this randall does not have big one, however it sounds good.
