Try some Loctite on those bolts, but the bottom line is they need to be checked every few years. I have one. When I know it’s going to rain and I’m putting stuff that shouldn’t get wet like luggage in the back. I put the luggage in 30 gallon outdoor trash bags. Just to make sure. I expect these things to leak a tiny bit especially around the sides.
Very thankful for the review. I bought the Truxedo TruXport 7 yrs ago and its finally on its last leg. The velcro has started to separate from the rails so its not longer waterproof. I'm looking at purchasing the Gatro STX as its replacement.
Looks identical to a truxedo lopro I had on my previous truck. Thanks for the review. I'm going to go with this cover and save a couple hundred bucks vs buying another truxedo.
Just installed this Gator on my NTM truck last week. The clamps are "touchy" to install with a bed liner, IMO. Getting them on there "just right" proved to be a little challenging at times. I can see why you might lose a few. I wonder if taking better care of the vinyl cover would've improved the situation of your luggage getting wet? Was standing water left on top of a brittle vinyl? Did driving rain make it through the velcro or corners? Thanks for the review.
Just picked it up for $160 on Amazon Just need something for trips to store the kids and wife’s large catches of clothes and what not when traveling lol

Nice review. Try some lock-tight on the bolts for the clamps so they don't loosen.

Nice to see a long term review like this. If you still have it or a cover with clamps, would user supplied locking washers help?
Awesome video bro, help me a lot since I just order one for my truck and haven’t see any other video of a long term use on those, thanks.
Glad to see it fit with the exact same truck/ bed liner I have , it got me worried after I ordered that it might not fit

Thanks for the review!👍🏽
The 10-year warranty on the tarp doesn't cover the clip?
Boy that's silly...
For $3.00
Lil loctite on clamps should do the trick
@@southerngrainz Even better - Lock Washers.
have you tried loctite for the rail clips?
On what number did you put the tension bar at?
There are tension blocks on each side. Manufacturer recommends installed them at 4, which is the least tension.
Great review brother!
