I use Sharp Cap. Have never taken a photo of a planet. May try this feature. Really neat. Thanks.
You should, it's really effective and simple (assuming your seeing is ok of course!).
Excellent image and video Mark
Cheers Tony - luckily the seeing was quite good (you can see the more normal seeing later on! Wishing you a great New Year!
Thanks Mark! I’ve been using ASICap but I think its time to upgrade to SharpCap.
It's a pretty powerful bit of kit, Craig. Not only does it do the live stacking, it can also help with polar alignment.
Gold dust, thanks Mark.
I am outside at the moment observing a double moon shadow transit ( Europa & Ganymede) on Jupiter's surface, absolutely incredible.
So glad it has worked for you! It's so effective isn't it?
great tool, thanks for sharing
Cheers Dave. Glad you found it useful.
Hi mate, I wanted to ask you to please activate the subtitles so I can translate it into Spanish, your videos are wonderful. Greetings from Santoña, Cantabria, Spain.
Hola - lo he hecho - pues, espero que lo hago! Deberia funciona ahora. Mandame un mensaje si quieres algo mas. Saludos desde Inglaterra. Espero que tengas mejor tiempo que nosotros.
This is awesome. Do you have access to the histogram while doing the life stacking?. I did not see it.
Amazing what can be done these days Mark, unfortunately well above my head.
Happy New Year to you, Peter, and speak soon.
wow this is really cool! Is the frame stacking rate limited by your camera's FPS settings or the application? Thanks
You can chose the frame rate / exposure (subject to bandwidth down the USB cable and into the computer).
Hi there do you know the az-eq6 mount do you need to turn it off when you put it in hibernation mode or do you leave the mount turned on thanks and your video's are brilliant iv learned a hell of a lot of stuff from them
I turn mine off Robert - although if it’s cold and damp I’ll leave the dew heaters on.
