Love this video. Worked for 7 years in this community Loved the people and the place. Been living in 3 Cree communities now. All are different but all the people are the same: funny, helpful and hard working.

Visited 4 times now from the Boston area. BEAUTIFUL scenery, nice people. Can't wait to come again. Chisasibi does First Nations and all of Canada proud.

I moved away from Fort George in 1979 and now people of that village live in Chisasibi.I taught school at Ecole St. Therese and knew a dear friend (Mable Herodier),of which,I wonder if she's still living there.I had made video of my son and other kids in school when he was about 5-6years of age.Now he's in his 40's,I have great memories of that time.Another friend was Lillian Spencer and she had 3 kids (Jeannie,Mike,Steve) she's probably still there, maybe someday I can go visit for a last time.

Stay on the right path and follow examples of people who accomplished what you want to accomplish. Stay positive, read self-help books and get a good education.

Keno's Vlogs brother that is amazing to read! I am mixed my mother is half Cree I have searching for ten years for my family and sadly have had no luck yet. But I love our heritage, and really want my children to know and embrace our traditions . We have some trouble because as u can see I am white , but I am still of my grandfathers blood. And for this I am blessed. I will remember you in my silent times and wish all the happiness you deserve . ❤️

Lovely. I went to high school in Noranda, Quebec with Cree kids from Fort George back in the day (1972). Just wondered how the place changed (actually, moved) and developed. Looks great!

Lived on the Island (Fort George) from 1972 -1976 and two of our three sons were born there. Great people! Would love to know how all of those we knew are doing. Margaret & Sarah Louttit? Josey Sam? Robert Kanawat? Doris & Reggie Bobbish and their family - Janet, Freddie, Louisa? Louise and Simeon Pash???? Would love to return with our sons to visit their birthplace.

As a mostly settler, I am proud of my Cree blood. This was a good effort in helping me learn more of my people, but it didn't say enough from the community reported on.
Nice try and I liked and subscribed. If you read this, please continue! 👍
