Yes - I recognized the color immediately! Electric Blue fits the CT4-V Blackwing, but still looks like perfection on the better proportioned CT5-V Blackwing. The larger car's details are more attractive, especially at the rear where the CT4 needs the CT5's larger taillamps and trunk/bumper contours to lessen the visual impact of all that blank rear sheet metal. Miles, your body language behind the wheel was crying out for the manual, but I thank you for another awesome POV Drive Review in the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing. Next stop . . . your CT5-V Blackwing!
So funny you should pick that up about my body language - I kept wanting to grab a gear lever and push into a clutch pedal - this car screams for that setup! Thanks Edd
I cannot wait to get my 2023 CT5-V. They are aging very nicely, I’m seeing it and the CT4 more and more but not so common that I don’t want my own. The CT5’s design and proportions are just perfect imo, these cars will forever steal my attention or “break my neck” whenever I see them on the road! 🔥

First things first, Thank you very much for the great quality reviews recently you're the best! Also, since this is a turbo charged engine, does the 6-speed option have the "No Lift Shift" feature like the CT5V BW ?? because it makes more sense here
Best in class…only shortcomings are the small rear seat and small infotainment screen (I’ve often wondered if it could be swapped out for the larger one from the CT5).
That's being worked on now... it does fit just need to resolve the signal issues. Once it's been worked out, I'll be upgrading my 4BW to the big screen.

It is a shame it's overshadowed, because it's independently brilliant to drive. If not for the need of extra rear passenger space (car seats), I'd have gotten this instead of the CT5

True, the shifts MAY be a millisecond or two earlier on a dual-clutch, while the downside of a dual-clutch is clunkiness when going slow. Overall, I would rather have the torque converter auto.
I agree. The upshifts are fast , the downshifts seems snappy too. The zf8 is an awesome tranny many compare to a dual clutch. This 10 SPD seems good too. Other reviewers say it's snappy.
4 doors are just so practical, and if this had the manual, I'd choose this. That said, the C8 is one of the most practical sports cars you can buy (huge front and rear trunks), so if you part with the MT, it's not a bad way to go.
@Amr Alghabra this version doesn’t compete with the G70 but I can tell you from driving experience I test drove a 2023 CT5V (non BW) RWD fully loaded against 2023 G70 3.3tt RWD fully loaded and I was pleasantly surprised that they both drove similar…and that’s saying something for the G70 since Cadillac performance cars are known for their dynamic handling. The CT5V was my first choice but only Hyundai was willing to negotiate. Hence I walked away with the G70 and I’m enjoying it very much. All the other reviews I’ve seen regarding CT4V BW say this beast drives and handles amazingly.

I think it looks MUCH better than an M3! BMW ruined the looks of the new M3 with that new front. The CT4-V BW is a subcompact car, so you can't really complain about the headroom in the back, with the sloping rear :)
What’s sad is that the older Cadillac ATS that the CT replaced is faster 0-60 and higher top speed personally I like the older caddy because the dash is real leather
Nope. It didn't have a higher top speed. It's also the same or within a tenth in terms of acceleration. The BlackWing pulls over 1.0x gs on the skidpad, that's the improvement over the ATS(besides the interior).

I would like to buy one, but instead I HAVE to get a m340i because that car is just better in every way, even though I don't want too because too many people have bmws. I refuse to pay over 25% over msrp for a car that is BARELY better, "sometimes", in 0-60, while having less room inside, less interior quality and horrible, almost half gas mileage while not being better overall than the b58. I don't get how cadillac even sells these things. You would have to be brain dead to buy one or the ct5-v blackwing, which is even more absurd and disgustingly priced. I can take the money I save not buying a ct4-v BW, put into the m340i and have it stomp all over the 4bw.
When the rear passengers are willing to pay for the car, I might start caring about rear legroom/headroom. Just sayin'

How does the M5 competition compare to CT5V blackwing in terms of ride quality. Which one is harsher on softest setting?
The Blackwing's Magnetic Ride Control rides nicer for sure. Even though they've softened the M5 Comp a bit, it's still too firm in Comfort
I mean if you are really in the market go drive both, but the M5 isn't offered in manual, so for me it's not even in the running.
With a 12V outlet, you can plug in an adapter for your USB plugs. So, it's no problem for me.
This or a C8 for your daily, assuming you don’t care 2 doors or 4?
