- Dear friend, after spending one evening in KL’s longest pasar malam I only managed to feature a fraction of the vendors. But with my limited coverage I’m sure you can still get a good idea of what the popular stalls have to offer. I can’t encourage you to go and patronize them now since the infection numbers have shot up tremendously, anyway do take good care of yourself. That being said I’m also taking extra precautions going out the feature food for you. Thanks and see you in the next.

Another gem of a video uncle Lee, I sometimes forget your age when you are making mouth watering videos like these. You have a young spirit with an a mature eye for content. I also appreciate the pace in which you are speaking, I speak mainly English and elementary Hokkien and even worse, cantonese, so I rely on video content like yours to fully understand appreciate your gastronomic adventures. Great episode on Taman Connaught Pasar Malam. I think its not easy to make a a video featuring Pasar Malam but Elmo- you have made it interesting, edited it well and makes it an enjoyable video to watch. I has a good laugh when you illustrated that when trying to buy food from the Food Van - it is like when someone is in the pawnshop ( like those older pawn shops many years ago - maybe there is still those left in some towns ) trying to pawn their belongings. I really laugh loudly during that illustration - and nicely worded too. Thank you Elmo for another great episode. Again- stay safe and stay healty as always - Elmo.

@@malaysiafood328 - Yes Elmo. You are correct. The counters of those pawnshop is raised up and it is as exactly described in this episode ( referring to the Food Van ). That’s is why I had a good laughter as you described it very well and it resembles your illustration. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

Wow! Thanks for sharing! I have never been to this huge pasar malam! Very interesting indeed!! A must visit next time!! Agree that it would be nice to have some seating so can enjoy food freshly prepared like some of the ones in Taiwan etc!! As for fresh oysters… I am abit more cautious like you!! Don’t want to risk upset tummy!! Great video and thanks for the history of pasar malam!! Really enjoyed watching and feeling being there on your visit too!!

I have been to Bangkok and Taipei and I came to the same conclusion as you. The Malaysian street food is best. I think it is because of the variety and fusions of 3 cultures. And within the Chinese community itself, it is made up of multiple dialects. Malaysian Chinese are made up of Cantonese, Hokkien, Hakka, Teochew, Hailam, Hockchew and the list goes on. So rich.
And as with Thailand's street food I feel that some of the stalls sourced their products from mass production wholesalers. Only my opinion and observation. The stalls and food look and taste the same in different markets. What do you think?
Malaysia was really the best place to live in cos we had everything but politics has changed the situation, thank God food remains unchanged

So true, the food at the night markets in Taiwan is basically BS. The best food I've had in Taiwan is not found in night markets. I basically lined up for bad food at all the stalls that display on-screen their "best" reviewed by local celebrities. Obviously these celebrities lied through their teeth.
