I install and remove engines like that all the time in my garage. Next time find a good wood block to place under the body. Works well with patience and triple checking lol loving the build!

I've done a many an engine install like that on my old EF hatch. The struggle is real. I love the detail of the RS OEM brake lines. Wish I could clean up that wiring for you lol.

Mark when u go to put the engine under the car you can tilt the engine on that block so its not as tall to get it under. then when its in the bay area tilt it back

I took the same approach under my accord when I did my h22 swap. Like you said wasn't the greatest idea but it worked 🤷🏾♂️ 😉🤙🏿
I use cardboard instead of a trolley to slide engine under car...it allows you to move engine easily and it drops it few more inches to ground for clearance...

I did that when I was putting my k20 in my ef. Had the jack and jack stands on concrete blacks so they would be high enough. It was probably a bad idea but got the job done.

I always do my swaps this way but i use a spare tire and jack it up from the exhaust tunnel

I find it easier to have the motor down on a blanket or cardboard to slide under the car...the dollies put the engine too high
Dude...invest in some wood and build a frame with a sturdy 6x10 ..."or bigger" beam at the top and lift the car up with a chain hoist from harbor freight.Ya scarin' the shiz outta me dogg!
Just wondering would it have been possible tipping the engine over on the dollies to make it clear the frame going under 🤔
