For 70's style, I loved Ali MacGraw. I think you would look fabulous in her style, especially from the 1970 movie "Love Story" 💕

The pleated coulottes are to die for! I am 64 and came of age in the 70s. Those coulottes embody the best graceful lines of the decade. Dare I say timeless?!

Alyssa, I love what you continually put together without going out and buying! I have been following you for several months now and I am amazed by the number of great outfits you have managed to create. I have rediscovered my closet thanks to you and the beautiful blazers, sweaters, shoes, boots, etc that I have collected over the years! I am so glad that I have kept the classics while letting go of many pieces that I either rarely wore or were simply not my style as a result of impulse buying in the past. Thank you for your dedication to slow fashion and helping us become more conscientious regarding needless spending and its negative impact on our planet.

What I love most about this kind of your videos is how you break down elements of each look rather than recreating as is. That’s really helpful and inspiring!!

Diane Keaton is my style icon since I was 10 years old. Now that I'm a 52 year old lady, I still love masculine tailored clothes, layering etc...Also, the musical cue on the DK outfit reveal was spot on PERFECT. Someone has watched Manhattan and understood the assignment. You knocked that one out of the park. Subscribing NOW.

What did I just learn from that? The power of a hat! The Diana Ross inspired look without the hat was OK to me, but add the hat and WOW, a whole new level and then some! So glad you included Diane Keaton too. I absolutely adore her sense of style. If I could rock it like that when I reach her age, gosh would I be happy! Thanks for all the inspiration you give - because of you I look at my wardrobe, and what I buy for it, completely differently now.

When you added the hat to the 2nd look, it immediately jumped to fabulous! Nicely done! And I had a similar pleated lightweight white culotte/skirt in the late 80’s that I recently passed on to my daughter, who loves them! I’ll have to share your video with her to give her some styling ideas. Thanks!

Bonjour! As I was a teen in the 70s, I've kept these particular styling features in my wardrobe thoughout the years because they are... timeless chic! In #1 outfit I prefer Keaton's long trousers version since I do not like short trousers/jeans, too leg-shortening 🤗 In the 70s, long trousers were the trend. But I loved your choice of scarf and the overall result ☺ . In the third outfit, the vertically pleated jupe-culotte (in French, culotte means knickers/underwear 😂) competed with the horizontally slouchy boots but your black boots were perfect! I really liked all your outfits 😍

Hi Alyssa. I think the key element for me when I look at Jane Fonda 70s is the fabulous necklace. It ends right above the belt. She has multiples of these in her 70s wardrobe. They beautifully bring the eye to emphasize her waist and move away from her modest sized chest.

Great job. For the second look add your lighter silk scarf as a belt, especially since you have belt loops, you can roll it or make it smooth, let it hang or tuck the ends. I think it will be very chic.

Diane Kenton’s style from Annie Hall until now is timeless. Any age can wear it. What can I say about Diana Ross? A other great fashion icon. Those hoops are perfect 👍 and that hat! You did it! Ooo Jane Fonda’s outfit is not only beautiful but easy to wear and timeless. Great choices. I was a little kid during most of the 70s. I loved the clothes from Mary Tyler Moore and Marlo Thomas in That Girl. Might be in the late 60s but I watched the show in reruns. Really fun 🤩

I just realized something really for the first time. Or it just became really clearer to me watching this video. And that is, that just as much as a belt or boots or any other item determine the look and feel of a whole outfit - HAIR ( colour and length and style) is a major determining factor in building or detracting from a look. Bye. Thanks!

The scarf in the first look you created definitely has Diane Keaton vibes as she covers her neck often. Dianna Ross one is definitely fun and the hat was a great finishing touch. All 3 are a hit and such fun!

Great fun! Regarding the Diana Ross package: Did you notice that your hair filled in for Dana’s scarf? W🤩w factor!

I think that your great wardrobe might be missing these two items: a great pair of straight chino pants (possibly army green, olive or khaki) and a pair of long suede tan/cream boots, maybe not as long as your black ones and not too slouchy either. And you would look great in long straight chinos. I'm not a fan of your shortened jeans, I think they shorten your legs and don't do you justice. I loved the third look, you nailed it.
